Hi all, Bought FM 2018 on my MacBook air 2017 back in November, purchased via Steam. However, I encounter a very loud fan noise coming from my Mac when starting up the game the noise and the heat of the Mac is further prominent when playing a match. This is the case with FM Touch 2018 also. I have taken the necessary steps such as ensuring my software is up to date, resetting the SMC and re-installing the game, I have even contacted Apple whom we’re somewhat struggling for ideas after going through the troubleshooting process. My question is basically, is there any further steps I can take? Is there an application/programme that I can run FM through? Would the use of Bootcamp via Windows the the best option? Interested to hear from those using FM 2018 on MacBook Air to come up with suggestions. Hope this can be sorted! Owen 😕
Hello, A few days ago I bought macbook air that i5/8gb/128gb ssd version. I installed fm 2017 with great enthusiasm yesterday. But there is a overheating and noise problem which coming from fans. I have read similar problem in previous fm series . I am thinking about the graphics setting but there are also same problems on the outside match screen. Although I changed my graphics settings low, still have same noise. What do you recommend me to do? Is there any patch for mac users?
After playing FM series since day 1 here goes my first post on forum, I have played each and every Football Manager game on different laptops/computers every year. Because of my job, I need to carry two different laptops and use PC at my home and office. I won't bore you with details and jump to my request. We need some optimization on Mac OS systems. I'm using the latest Macbook Pro and its actually a capable device to run the game smooth. However, I get the slowest performance even though I tune down everything for better gaming experience. Watching games 3D is almost impossible which is understandable since my laptop doesn't have a graphics card (Most Macbook Pro users don't have as far as I know) but even watching games 2D is slow and stressful. Even the loading time when I hit continue is way longer than my Windows Laptop (it is not as near as powerful in terms of hardware) which led me to believe there is something wrong with software adaptation. I'm not an computer expert, can't tell whats exactly wrong but you can also find mac users complain on same issue if you google for a short amount of time. If there is something I don't know of and should do to fix the problem, please let me know. If not, please, I want a smooth FM 2017 experience with my mac.
