Hi guys, I was wondering if anybody else has been frustrated with this years individual training, I've been. You can't make a player work on the majority of his attributes, and some of them are important like heading, jump, etc. I like how you can work on various attributes but at the same time most of them are left out. I don't know if they'll change that in a next patch but it's really frustrating me at the moment.
I set my player to train as a Complete Forward. By doing this, i saw that he will actually going to train in many different areas as opposed to train him as a Poacher. What i would like though is to improve his agility from 13 to 14. But it is already selected for that role. Does this mean that i don't have to add additional focus? I know that after some months, if i check the progress report i will see stuff like: Agility=13.2, Decisions=13.4 etc. If i add agility as an additional focus, does it mean that he will train even more or is it an extra burden and i should leave it as it is? Also, in my 4-2-3-1 Wide, my 2 central midfielders are BWM-D and DLP-S. I never play with a BBM, but i saw that, setting my DLP to train as BBM will improve more stats as opposed to DLP. Should i choose BBM training or DLP training for my DLP? P.S.1 Yes, Ideye won't improve anymore (reached his PA), but forget about that particular player. Suppose a 20y old with the same attributes was in the image instead of him. P.S.2 Yes, i know the attributes aren't visible with that skin colors, but it doesn't really matter for my question.
Hi all, Playing the demo of football manager 2017 (was thinking of getting the mobile version) and I can't see an option to create a training group. In other Football manager games I played I was able to create a group called GK for example and then set out what I want that group to concentrate on, ie all goalkeeping skills. I could then put all my goalkeepers in that training group. I would do the same for DL/DR and put all my DL/DR in there. It would be really easy and effective when signing new players too, I could just stick them straight into their group... I would also use those similar training stats as search items for scouting DL/DR would work on pace, stamina, tackling, marking, heading, crossing; would use those stats as searches for those type of players; I haven't got to the scouting section on FM2017 yet so I hope that is at least in there. Really disappointed I am not able to see this anywhere. There is a "Team" option which looks fairly useless as you can only select from the 7 items (balanced, fitness, tactical, ball control, etc), why would I want my goalkeeping concentrating on attacking. I wouldn't want my central defenders concentrating on attacking either. Same goes for strikers, I wouldn't want them training in defending and raising their tackling/marking stats. Then there is the "individual" option which also looks like all you can do is train them on a "trait" and have them focus on one thing only with the "additional focus". Which means I would have to change each player individually every few weeks, rotating a "additional focus" but then the other stats would probably drop.
It probably hasn't changed in the last couple of release but I'm playing FM17 so that's the one I want to ask about I'm getting the usual complaints about my players being overloaded with training, even when in some cases their overall individual training is listed as "medium". I was just wondering, does setting the "position training" option to whatever the generic "playing position" option is removal player training altogether for the particular player? I always try to train every player in the position that they are playing or that I'd prefer them to play or if I'm retraining them. Sometimes that position training just happens to be the same as the "playing position". Therefore is it worth changing it or does that just add extra unnecessary training stress on the players? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions! Nathan
