  1. I'm so sorry if this is covered somewhere or indeed if it can already be done but can we have some way of giving back transfer budgets to instead invest in club improvements? I regularly do youth only saves and find it infuriating that over time I can build up a big transfer kittie through not spending yet I can not convert this back into the clubs coffers to instead invest in my youth academy or training facilities.
  2. Hi all, Im going to list some improvement requests on different areas of FM. Feel free to add improvements to the list and lets discuss them : Training : An area needs to improve. My requests are : Creating weekly training schedules for the first team : Actually this idea is coming from Total Club Manager 2004 , different aspects of team training (fitness work, technical excercises, building up-play , 5-5 matches , passing excercises, defensive positioning & marking , set pieces etcetc..) should be included in FM. Below figure might help to understand what Im saying: Creating player based training schedules : This can be also useful . For example in my West Ham save Artur Masuaku is recovering from an injury and we will have a game in Anfield against Liverpool therefore I want to use him in a classic 4-4-2 as a defensive winger. So for increasing his overall match fitness, I like to schedule a fitness based personal program to make him ready for the game . Player Tutoring : Suppose that you have a young player A with great potential but with low determination such as 4 , not a high work rate (between 5-8 ) so you are looking some improvements on that area. You have a first team player B with great mental attributes and decent outfield attributes . As a manager when you call player B into the room to ask to tutor player A you might want to say, "I want you to tutor player A and show him the right attitude ,work ethic as you are a model professional." (or something like that). Suppose that you have a young player A (CM) again with a great potential. You have a sense that if player A can improve defensive side of his game he could become a complete central midfielder that you are looking for(What Im saying is Player A has good outfield attributes and decent mental&physical attributes but with a marking 8-10 and tackling 8-11 ). So you call a Player B (a strong defensive minded CM) into your room and saying " I want you to tutor player A about defensive side of things in midfield." Staff : A new Staff role should be added to the game : A youth recruiter or you might want to say a youth scout. As club scouts looking for a local talent in high schools ,in local matches etc and bring them into academy, a youth scout can add a new dimension to the game. Owners Becoming Suggar Daddy : I know that not all owners are wealthy. Im not talking about these ones . In the editor I like to look up for owner's attributes , and in some cases I see owners with a good business & resources attributes but they are not stated as sugar daddy. A great example for this is Shadid Khan of Fulham which has Bussines attribute of 15 and Resources attribute of 18. When you gain promotion to the Premier League he might decide to throw a lot of money to the club (so becoming a suggar daddy btw). Player Contracts : Assist bonus : Should be added for LB,RB,RWB,LWB and attacking midfielders. Yearly wage decrease : This might be odd for you but I see this in Turkey as some of our clubs dont have a good financial state. For example a player wants a 3 year contract with 3M pounds per year, which means a contract worth 9M pounds. So you should be able to offer 4M in first year 3 M in the second year and 2M for the last year. This can be beneficial when you trying to buy a player with 29+ age. Finances : The projection section of finances should be improved : We should be able to see next year's wages if we are not going to renew any/some of the player's contracts at the end of the season. We should be able to see/predict current season or next season's income based on scenarios (What if we finished 10th in league or 17th in league etc.) Youth Setup : Building football schools/academies around the world to improve youth recruitment. Youth Recruitment Philosophy : We should be able to instruct our Head of Youth Development , to recruit mentally strong CB's ,pacy wingers and strikers , physically strong CM's etc. to build our desired team with regens in the future. Tactics & Opposition Instructions : Player A is a CB in your team and Player B is the striker of the opponent. You instruct player A to mark Player B but , player B gets injured and Player C is coming on as a sub.Its time wasting thing to open opposition instructions to specify "Mark Player C " again. What I am saying is we should able to say our CB's to mark all strikers in a matchday squad (including the subs.) NOTE : Some of the request have already been in the game. Please let me know if this is the case...
  3. I would really like to see an option to export files in a csv format. So that I can analyise the match, use my own ratios and trend analysis from game to game. Maybe in the next FM.
  4. Well i think it's that time of the year when we're all anxious about the next FM release... What improvements and features would you like to see in FM19? My suggestions: Dynamic regens - based on the history and management of the club over several years attracting good and or less competent regens to the club etc. Better match engine and graphics - this is obvious. I know we wont see it change all that much in FM19 but it's important for immersion. Captain shout-outs - Allowing or nominating the captain of the team to instruct further instructions on the pitch. That''s all i can think of for now. I'll edit if more comes to mind.
  5. Another simple suggestion to fix the scouting system in FM Firstly can SI provide clarity as to what scouts actually factor into account when providing their opinion on potential ability? Secondly, if this isn't already the case - can the under the hood PA simply not be one of these factors? Wouldn't it be possible to use a formula - (which then also factors in scouting error) - based on current ability vs age (where he is in a perceived development curve), various attitudes like determination/professionalism etc, form and then a higher weighting towards physical attributes and more "natural" attributes that are harder to teach therefore indicating higher potential. So in essence the in-game prediction of Potential is not at all linked with the under the hood PA value. This would then fix the issue that is currently present that high PA players are too easy to spot. CA/PA suggestion on top of this could be a solution to the "late bloomer" problem. What if there was a cap on CA development based on training facilities and league reputation and then once players broke this cap or made it to the higher leagues - would see a rapid improvement even past the 25yo development cap?
  6. I'm a big fan of Football Manager, I started playing at FM2014 and have owned all PC and Mobile versions since. I'm just gonna be giving my suggestions for PC only. 1) An improved engine - I feel that a new or improved version of the current engine is needed for better graphic fidelity and smoother / more natural looking animations. Don't get me wrong, animations were an improvement here, but graphics weren't so much of an improvement. 2) More types of tweets - I tend to see a lot of the same tweets, word for word, on the social media feed. I think there needs to be A LOT more variation just so it doesn't get old so quick. 3) More social media - I think the inclusion of the twitter style feed was super cool and would like to see another one maybe in similar fashion to instagram. Here is an example for how his could work: Manchester United sign a player like Kasper Dolberg. Too announce the signing a picture is posted of him holding or wearing the Man United kit and there's a little caption and hashtag or two. Then the player would also post something like this, as well as the league, and maybe fans too. 4) More User Friendly UI - I don't have many problems with the current way it is but I would like to see a redesigned UI that just flows better and is simpler to use. The current UI can be difficult to figure out for new players even with the hint system. 5) Licensing - I know it is expensive, but I need more than Everton and Watford licensed when I drop 60 USD on the game. 6) Better training system - Maybe something kinda like Fifa introduced in Fifa 16 except instead of 5 players, you can do the whole team. An example: You can watch the training, it would take 2-5 minutes. All players do the training they are set to do as well as a generalized team training. After it is done, you can view a training report and see which players had a good session, bad session, got hurt, improved, or worsened, etc. If you don't want to watch the training, a simulate button or automatic button or something should be there. 7) Better youth system - Growing youth players can be super super difficult. I'm not sure exactly what needs to be done to improve this but I do feel it could use a change. This is all I could think of for now. If you've got any ideas, post them.
  7. Just a few ideas moving forward, some possibly could never be done and some may have been mentioned before. But here goes... 1) Have the option of becoming an interim manager. If a club have decided to hire a manager at the end of the season but they are currently still in February or March, have the option to go in as an interim manager until the end of the season, and if you are successful in that period then that will be noted by the club and improve your chances of being hired by them in the future (or work against you if you're terrible) 2) Players remember if you have been good or bad to them. I know you have a list of likes and dislikes, but how about if for example you're managing Liverpool and you fall out with Lallana for whatever reason and you decide to sell him because you want to improve the morale in the quad. Say you sell him to Stoke?... and then 6 months later you get sacked by Liverpool and Stoke hire you, if Lallana is still there, he can come and talk to you or vice versa and you can either clear the air or he may say that he still doesn't want to play for you and that he wants to leave there as well. 3) The option to travel. When you get drawn in the champions league and you are Arsenal and you have to go to Russia to play Zenit or whoever. You should be given the option of what days you want to travel there and back, because this could affect training and rest. Jet lag could play a bigger part in the game. 4) Scouts have the ability to poach players reports from other scouts If you are Chelsea and you have set a someone to scout League 1, you can assign them to follow a particular club or player. If you notice that the same scout is going to the same games or recognises that they are looking at the same player, if they are "friends" in their likes and dislikes then they are more likely to share player information and you could get your scouting report that bit quicker and more accurate. Or you could twist it and make it backfire by the rival scout giving them the wrong information, depending on how savvy your scout it. 5) Team Bonding You could offer the teams an incentive for winning matches such as days out or meals just like what Ranieri did for Leicester (Pizza - Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong) 6) Players refusing to travel to certain countries. In cricket at the moment theres a debate over wether players should go to bangladesh for a test tour amid reports of unrest and violence. Perhaps get some players to try and refuse to go to certain places for friendlies, cup matches or team building events. You could look at this logically and either discipline the player or understand their worries and allow it. Could be a huge factor in morale for the individual and team. 7) More players going to China or USA to finish their careers. Seems to be a trend these days, see more of them going there instead of them getting released and signing for Exeter. 8) Revamp the international management. It's boring, same old things every time. pick a squad, do an interview, repeat. change it up, add more into it. More interaction with players. Better training, more influence on playing games in different stadiums. 9) Revamp press conferences. It's the same questions every time, it gets boring after a while and I end up letting my Assistant manager do them. Change the questions, create a bigger library of questions, make us think about the answers carefully, they get too predicted at times. 10) Touchline bans If you're banned from the touchline, or even the stadium. Change the way in which you watch the game, create a Soccer Saturday type layout and act as if were watching from tv. What is everyones thoughts?
