  1. Fraserburgh FC, known to their fans, and just about everyone else in that part of the world as The Broch, are one of the grand old gals of the Highland League. Formed in 1910, they play at the beautifully positioned 3500 capacity Bellslea Park. It is said they play in black and white because the local fishmonger who sorted them out with their first strip had connections with Newcastle United. The club were granted admission to the Highland League in 1921, and have played there happily ever since, winning in 1933, 1938 and 2002. They've also been the proud winners of two League Cups and seven Aberdeenshire Cups. The greatest victory in their career came in 1959 when they beat Dundee - then one of the top sides in Scotland - 1-0 in the Scottish Cup in a game still considered one of the greatest giant killing cup shocks of all time.
  2. SCOTLAND - All 42 sides (From 4 Divisions to 3) Every division has 14 teams. Automatic relegation from the 3rd tier (2 will go down) - Highland & Lowland Leagues (Both have a 2nd tier) Then it goes regionalish (North Divisions, South & West, East) - Scottish Cup (All teams involved, the SPL teams come in the 2nd Round (Last 64) Some good prize money for all teams if they do well) - League Cup (Knockout competition which just involves 42 teams, 1st round is 2 legs) - Challenge Cup (Involved with just Scottish Clubs only, Plus all of the Highland & Lowland League teams get involved 64 teams and its all in) - Highland & Lowland Cups - Scottish Junior Cup - Scottlsh Junior Vase - Regional (Pre-season) Cups (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling etc) Trialists are allowed in all division (Apart from the top one) Plus lots more Please let me know any Thoughts, Suggestions please Scotland.fmf

  4. The Wicker Man is a seminal horror film. In it Edward Woodward plays a devout Christian police officer who travels to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a girl. On the island he finds himself at odds with the Celtic paganism practiced by the inhabitants and finds his investigation hampered by the islanders. Eventually he finds the girl and saves her from being sacrificed only to find out that he has been set-up and it is who is to be the sacrifice. The film ends with him being burned alive in the titular wicker man and I'm absolutely not sorry for spoiling the ending of a forty+ year old film. It's excellent. Go watch it. Fast forward to 2006 and there was an ill advised reboot of the film staring Nicholas Cage. The island is now somewhere near America, it is an all woman island and Nicholas Cage punches out quite a few of them (once dressed as a bear). The film is dreck but does have this inspired piece of acting towards the end... <iframe width="500" height="306" src=" The point is that reboots never work It is in this spirit then I look to resurrect and reboot a career I had last year where I took over Wick Academy and tried to bring glory to them by only playing the players I found and the youngsters I groomed. I was relatively successful and even got them out of the Highland League before a crisis of faith caused by being run over by a former goalkeeper led me to lose my mind and move to Sweden. I have unfinished business in Wick. I owe it to the people of that wee town in Caithness, I owe it to Big Gaz, I owe it to @Pompeyboyz's cat and most of all I owe it to myself. The story is a simple one. I'm leaving my cozy little place just down the road from Hampden for the north coast and footballing redemption and I'm not coming back until I bring Wick Academy with me. There will be tears, there will be failure and there will likely be more attempts on my life from disgruntled ex-players. With Big Gaz by my side, however,I can begin the search for the next Kieran Forbes knowing that I can weather anything that lies ahead. It's a one way ticket north provided by @Morrissey's excellent Scottish pyramid expansion. Let's go.
