Hello guys, I have some mysterious affection with the Target Man role and now I want to create a tactic with a more specialised version of Target Man, the Wide Target Man. I am uploading the tactic because the tactic is, for some reason or the other, not working well enough. I lost a friendly match against Everton 1-2. The first match of Premier Division against West Ham ended in a 1-4 lost. Second match was against Liecester city which ended disastrously in a 0-5 lost. I am ready to change the tactic completely but the only thing I want is a Wide Target Man. Open to critics and suggestions.
One recurring problem I encounter in every FM game I have played is contrasting form when playing at home compared to away. I wanted to hear if anyone else had similar issues? I dislike having a home and away tactic and don't understand why my tactic performs so differently, I know its harder playing away from home, but a tactic that creates numerous chances and scores 3 goals per game on average at home, but struggles to muster 1 away from home does not make sense to me. In FM18 i would regularly go unbeaten at home, my best season saw my side get 18/19 wins at home in the league with 1 draw, contrasting to my away form using the same tactic, I recorded a record of 5 wins, 7 losses and 7 draws which is abysmal form away from home for a team dropping only 2 points at home. Tactics: I usually play 4231 with inside forwards, high pressing tactic looking to attack opponents, most recently managing Liverpool in FM19, using a slightly adapted "gegenpress" tactic. I would always expect the home record to be better than the away record, however It really bugs me that an incredibly effective tactic is almost useless on away days forcing me to adopt a second tactic to use on all away games. Using a different away tactic is my pet hate and does not truly reflect real life. Teams like Man City and Liverpool apply the same blueprint in most games to equal effect whether it is home or away. Of course playing away from home, the home side might be more adventurous than they would visiting a ground like Anfield, so I would expect a few more goals to be conceded on the counter etc, especially when playing a high line. However the volume conceded and overall performance in comparison to home games with the same tactic just seems to drastic to me.
Hello mates, so I have been playing FM 16 for a while now in the Indian National League as Bharat FC club. My attack has been trustworthy this season but my defence was weak so I decided to sign a good defender and signed Ricardo Carvalho. His attributes were great which made me sign him but the problem was he was 40 years old and he is giving a below average performance. So is there a way I can get him back in form ?
Hello Everyone! I've been playing Football Manager for years, think since 2007 if my memory is correct. From all these different versions i have been able to adapt to the changes which were made to have a fun playing experience. Until now, I started a season with Bury and my aim was to make the play off's. I had a fantastic season and was 2nd for around 38 of the 46 games. In the final stretch to the end of the season i lost form and ended up slipping into the play off's (I lost against Gillingham). I just couldn't overturn the loss of form! i tried everything and it just didn't work. My second season i went to Middlesbrough who were relegated from the Premier League. I had a fantastic pre season, bought all the correct players, set up my tactics, won all my friendly's against better opposition. Then when the league started i couldn't buy a win for the life of me and was sacked in October with the team in 23rd place! in all honesty my team should have walked the league! So, questions 1. Why does a team lose form, what could be the cause and how do i fix it? 2. Any other useful tips you fellow managers can give me? Thank you very much and i appreciate your help. Ryan F
