  1. Yes im back... The most popular skin in Football Manager history returns once again! TCS returns once again, and it is better than ever. A moving, dynamic background and the ever popular TCS header returns, this time it's modernized. Instead of being a full background, it is limited to just the outline to give the skin a clean finish. TCS 2021 Skin Features New Player Overview Panel New Club Overview Panel New Tactics panel More "Dark Mode" consistency (Scouting, Inbox, Processing). New comparison screens New match ibh Please note this skin is provided as is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them. 2. Football Manager 2021 Base Skins As with most recent Football Managers for you to make certain changes in Football Manager 2021 you need to create a new skin. Thankfully over the last few years some more stuff has been moved out of the skins folder so you only really need the Base skin if you are wanting to edit the skin graphics, fonts or colours. If you want to edit the match graphics or most of the panel xml files you no longer really need the base skins. So to make things easier for people I've put up some base skins that are identical to the default skins that come with the game, so you can add new files/graphics to these without messing up the original skins, and anything that isn't located in these new skin folders will be taken from the default locations within the game. For Football Manager 2021 at the moment you have three skins to choose from the Default (Purple) Skin, and two Dark Skins one based on the FM21 colouring (Purple accents) and one based on the FM20 colouring (Cyan and Yellow accents). Light Base Skins will follow but with no default light skin this year they require a bit more work. I'll also upload the Dark (and when they are ready Light) Versions to the Steam Workshop later for those that want a Dark/Light skin but don't need to edit them. If there are any issues with the Dark Skins please let me know as I prefer a Light Skin so may not be the best judge of the Dark Colour Scheme and have largely relied on the default scheme working, though I did make a couple of changes so there might be a need for some more tweaks later, and if you do come across an issue please upload a screenshot as it makes it a lot easier and quicker to narrow down the problem. Base21 Skin This skin is based on the Default Football Manager 2021 Skin, and is identical in appearance to that skin. Base21 Dark Skin This skin is based on the Dark Football Manager 2021 Skin, which whilst included with the game files hasn't been enabled by default. The skin layout is identical to the Default FM21 skin, however the main Purple colour has been replaced with Black, but I have left the Purple Accents. Whilst the Inbox and Scouting Centre have both been made dark unlike in the Default Skin. Base21 Dark (FM20) Skin This skin is based on the Dark Skin from Football Manager 2020. The skin layout is identical to the Default FM21 skin, and the colour is largely the same as the Base21 Dark Skin however I have switched the Accent colours over to the Yellow and Cyan used in FM20. This version also has a dark Inbox and Scouting Centre. Install Instructions: When you extract the file you have downloaded you should have one folder (with a name starting base21...) and a readme text file. Now copy the folder into your skins folder within your User Data Location, by default this is: For Windows:C:\Users\[Your Windows Username]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\ For Mac: Users\[Your Mac Username]\Library\Application Support\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021 If done right your skins folder should look something like this: And inside for example the base21 folder you should have the following folders: To select the skin in game you will need to load the game, and go into the Preferences Menu, then in the middle you should have a section called Interface and in that is an option called Skin with a drop-down menu under it. If you select the drop-down menu it should list all of the skins you have installed, if the skin you want is listed then just select it and press the Confirm button to load it. If the skin you want isn't showing. Then you can either select the Advanced option on the left and on the top right drop down select Interface, then scroll down the Skin section and untick Use caching to decrease loading times and tick Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences. Or in the search bar at the top type in Skin and in the listed results untick Use caching to decrease loading times and tick Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences. Then click Confirm at the bottom, this should then take you out of the Preferences menu but if you re-enter, it should have refreshed the list of skins and your skin should now be in the list. Once the skin is loaded you can turn the skin cache back on and untick the Always Reload button. For Advanced Instructions please see these below posts: How To Stop the Blurring Effect When Processing How To Enable Background Changes How To Edit The Fonts & Colours Change Log All Base Skins have been updated for Patch 21.2 v1.2 client object browser xml file updated. Couple of Colour Changes. (See Spoiler text for values). Base21 Dark and Base21 Dark (FM20) Skins have both been updated v.1.1 Changed folder name due to Workshop issues. Fixed some colour issues (list in the spoiler text below) Made Tweaks to Player Attributes Panel - Fixed Scrollbar issue, stopped Analyzer being cut off, increased Player Pic size and re-enabled the Report option in the Small Selector Panel. Colour Changes If you have made your own changes to the Base Skins then you don't need to download the updates, instead you can just update the colours in the settings file using the below values; Base Skins for Football Manager 2021 Download Page (Link contains links to all downloads) --- You are free to do what you want with these Base Skins provided: 1. 3. Football Manager 2021 - Light Skin v2 With no Default Light Skin this year, I have after a fair bit of work created one that is based on the Light Skin Colour Scheme from FM20 blending a Light Grey background with Cyan and Purple Accents, with a layout based on the Default FM21 skin with a few tweaks; Player Attributes screen increased the size of the player face and logo, removed the scrollbars from the Attributes and added the Report option to the Small Selector panels. Embedded Tactics Screens reduced the padding around the sides to maximise the content area for most resolutions. Match Scoreboard included my forthcoming Scoreboard Mod that changes the scoreboard to use the normal team names (as used on the league tables), team colours and logos. (NOTE: That the Skin doesn't include my other Match Screens Mod as it is due to be updated but you can freely install the current version with no issues). Best XI Screen changed the tactics icons on the pitch to use the ones from the Welcome screen that include the player faces. Outside of the above changes and the colour changes the skin layout is largely the same as the Default Skin. For the initial release I have concentrated on fixing the unreadable and broken parts of the Light Skin, so some places like the Tactics Pitch are still dark with white text and may get changed in a future update, whilst in other places the text is hard-coded to white (or at least the controlling file is well hidden) so in some cases I've had to fudge it by putting a dark box behind the content which at least ensures the text is readable. I've also done my best to check as many screens as I can, but I may have missed some so if you come across any issues please raise them ideally with screenshots (and in some cases I might need to ask you for a save game especially if its a context specific screen) - mainly looking for any cases of unreadable text. Also please only use this thread for issues directly related to this skin, if you have generally issues/questions then please check to see if there is already a thread for it and if not open up a new thread. Change Log - Version 2.0 20-09-2021 Sorry for the massive delay but the Skin has now finally been updated to Version 2 which brings about various changes and should fix the lingering issues; - Various colour tweaks including making the skin a little darker. - Fixes for IGE, Match Screens among other screens. - Fixed more news items with white text. - Reworked End of Season Review Screens. - Integrated my Scoreboard mod. 4. FMEnhanced v3.0 Several months ago during the release of the BETA, I released a skin called FME (Football Manager Enhanced) which was intended to be an extension of what Sports Interactive provide as opposed to a complete overhaul. I intended to keep everything in keeping with the default look and feel of the game for a more seamless integration and ease of use. Upon release of FME, I received some wonderful feedback from users and fellow modders, though with limited time I was unable to keep up with demand for extra features/bug fixes etc. Having gained more time over the past month, I have rebuilt FME and have stripped it back for the sake of simplicity. If you're familiar with FME, you may be sad to learn that this version of the skin is currently only a Player Overview panel with little or no modding elsewhere. I have taken a quality over quantity approach and perhaps with more time in the future, I'll be able to rebuild the club page that I originally built. I have discovered several things that have never before been done and it would be nice to reveal them in a future update. For now though, FME is an upgraded default skin with an enhanced Player Profile. Screen Size Adaptability FME adapts better than before to smaller resolutions. If you have a very low res screen (1024x768), you'll have a slightly limited experience as there simply isn't enough space to display all the required elements. However, stepping up to 1600x900 and 1920x1080, you have a fuller experience with greater functionality as per the images below. (1024x768), (1600x900) & (1920x1080) Transfer/Scouting Labels Player profiles show Dynamic Transfer Labels which change with context. When a player has been scouted, the "Transfer" labels are replaced with the "Transfer Interest" labels, better integrating the scout report with the player profile and giving you a quick idea of how much a player might cost. Without Scout Report With Scout Report Transfer Actions Transfer actions are available directly from the Scout Feedback Block via a dropdown menu. Additionally, clicking on the Scout Rating Circle, or indeed any of the Transfer Labels will take you directly to the full Scout Report. Attribute Colours/Information Block Touch versions of the game present different attribute colours which I have modified and introduced into FME. Red highlights low attribute values, Yellow for moderate values, Blue for good values and Green for excellent values. Foot strength is of course also present underneath the Physical Table. Additionally, I have implemented a better Player Information block which I believe provides all of the essential basic information required when viewing a player. Additional Tabs In addition to the default Attributes tab, I have made several other tabs available which I have optimized to function in a much smaller space. Player Information, Contract Information, Transfer Information/Status, Player Report, Medical Report & History are all available to access directly from the Player Overview. I hope to add more tabs in the future, though these are the ones I have made available for the time being. The Future As and when time becomes available to me, I will endeavour to keep this project alive. Sports Interactive do a great job every year and they made a lot of improvements to the base skin. I understand there are many people who prefer a Dark or a Light skin, as well as Instant Result and Player Faces on the Tactics screen and although these used to all be part of FME, they will not be officially restored until I have a good amount of time to ensure they are implemented well and to a standard I am happy with. For now, feel free to download FME v3.0 and perhaps even use it purely as a standalone Player Overview Panel within another creators skin. Download FME v3.0
  5. Over the past couple of years Sports Interactive made me fall in love with their Football Manager series, resulting in many thousands of hours trying to manage my way to the top. The only thing I could imagine to expand the Football Manager experience even more was the idea of a playing-style without numeric attributes. Inspired by Cleon’s “The no attribute way”, wkdsouls bars- and attributeless-skin as well as Oliver Jensen’s article on “how to play without attributes” back in FM19, I finally decided to try myself in creating a non-numeric attributes-skin with the release of Football Manager 21 and here we go ... Remarks: creating a manager shows numeric attributes, but they'll be displayed as stars in your profile once you start your career adjust the thresholds in the custom skin colour-section and define the areas covering an excellent, good, average or low attribute on your personal preferences without any problem in-game customise the colour of the stars by following the step-by-step instruction at the bottom of this post this skin was created on a resolution of [1920*1080] Changelog: (all) numeric attributes replaced by a star with its colour depending on a certain threshold (low, average, good and excellent) now you can distinguish between un-scouted and low attribute values, however the colour of a star can change with an increase in player knowledge player- and staff-comparison rearranged overhaul in player- and staff-search with the intention to use the advanced search and statistical data to identify potential transfer targets removed any information of numerical player development custom views as well as specific player role views show non-numeric attributes left and right foot ability instead of preferred foot in player overview added coach report information (pros and cons) to player profile as well as information on nation trained in and club trained at replaced letters with club badges in match score panel enabled to access the graphical representation of general performance and stats related to defending, pressing, creativity et cetera directly from the player profile added an alternative approach without any information on potential ability (NoPA-version) Personal Note: I am not an advanced skin editor. Thanks to the Skinning Hideout community and their awesome guides I was able to enjoy working on this and I hope it can somehow contribute to this awesome Football Manager series. You can use these panels for your private usage of course. If there are plans on releasing a skin using my panels, please feel free to send me a message and ask for permission first, since it was a lot of work. Huge thanks @michaeltmurrayukfor his Scoreboard Mod, based on which I replaced the letters with club badges in the match score panel and especially for everything he's doing for the Skinning-community. Special thanks @wkdsoul for giving me permission to include his star-graphic in order to make this skin available for the community as well. Download: Google Drive StarAttributes.zip StarAttributes_dark.zip IMPORTANT: How to make it work after Downloading: Put "StarAttributes" in your skin-folder open Football Manager, go to Preferences, choose "StarAttributes" and reload skin -> now player and staff profiles show stars, while the different views still show numeric attributes exit Football Manager and reopen for person properties.xml to load finally custom views as well as specific player role views show non-numeric attributes How to customise the colour of the attribute stars: Contact: Twitter: https://twitter.com/StarAttributes I hope you'll enjoy it the way I do
  6. Default dark skin how I believe it should be. If you want to keep originality of the game with some not intrusive visual improvements, Dark Polish is what you are looking for. It's clean and low-res friendly. How to install: 1. Extract Dark Polish Skin folder into: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 20XX/skins 2. Go into game preferences, select Dark Polish Skin. Hope you enjoy. FM 2021 VERSION: Download current version (2.1): https://www.mediafire.com/file/dairo10ouel7sf9/Dark_Polish_Skin_21.zip/file Dark Polish Skin 21 includes: - consistent shades of gray - ProximaNova font from older FMs - improved background selector - "Instant Result" button with post-match popup - "Huge" database depth option - player pictures and role suitability pies on tactic screen - past meetings panel under tactic screen (visible on high-res) - ribbon navigation in Preferences - club profile overhaul (original by Pikawa) - stadium picture option in club profiles (default one has dynamic color) - slightly modified player attributes section - dynamic continue button colors - coloured backgrounds of social media club avatars - removed pointless club logo from news item (staff photos are a bit larger now) - removed bold and uppercase from headings - removed purple elements like circle icons and contrast boxes - FM21 flags instead of old ones in language change menu Screenshots: FM 2020 VERSION: Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/6lorqk67nipu536/Dark_Polish_Skin_1.0.zip/file Dark Polish Skin 20 includes: - more consistent shades of gray - ProximaNova font from older FMs - "Instant Result" button - ribbon navigation in Preferences - player pictures on tactic screen - club profile overhaul (original by Pikawa) - stadium picture option in club profiles (default one has dynamic color) - slightly modified player attributes section - less contrast boxes - static sidebar colors - dynamic continue button colors - enlarged some custom graphics for better exposition - some pointless logos removed - removed bold and uppercase from headings - fixed some panels not appearing in low-res maximised window - fixed "negative" flags during database configuration. Screenshots: Make sure to check out other custom skins, from which I learned a lot. This skin would be impossible without them and Sports Interactive.
  7. Any idea if Wannachup will release an instant results skin for FM21?
  8. FM21 Rensie Purple & Dark skins - original posts on fmrensie.net I decided to take make both Purple and Dark version again. The skin settings are from the Base skins made by michaeltmurrayuk who returned to the SI Forum. That means both skins have the background support thanks to Michael and you can use the player/club/competitions etc. background images. Just reduce/incrase the opacity, as you can see how to do it here. Before many of you will ask, yes, the skin contains the Instant Result button. It’s here despite I’m not using it and I will take it out of my personal skin. But it’s easier to add it here rather than to face all the questions about it. The main edits contains player overview/attributes screens, club overview, player popup profile (the one when you hover over the “i” icon) or non-player and your own manager overview. Same as before, the skin contains many small edits and many small tweaks. But four from five people will never notice them. And yes, the tactics screen contains player pictures. And no, there is 0% chance I will add the old suitability circles. Main edited things *If you want to see nations flags in the player overview instead of the nations associations logos, don’t use the association’s logos within your logo packs. ** I didn’t edit the match panels/match in-between highlights panels. As you know, the match UI was changed for the FM21 and it would surely deserve some edit to avoid too many useless rooms of space but I don’t have enough time for it. Be sure to check SI Forum for the possible match screen mods or other skins if someone other will make it. Download v1: Purple & Dark Gallery v1 Info about the version 2 - released on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 - LINK Download v2 Download Purple version Download Dark version Credits michaeltmurrayuk for the option to use his base skins, also with the background support option. IF you want to know how to change the opacity, just visit his website or the SI Forum. Gaz / FMwkdsoul for his idea of the selector in the player overview screen as I saw it in screens from his skins on Twitter and decided to make it by myself. FMEnhanced as I took the Instant Result option from his v2.0 version. Wozzie for the help with the the player bottom bar and the “i” icon. PequenoGenio/Marco Morais for his tips and hints during creating skin for himself and help with some graphics. Thanks to all who helped me with testing of the skin and who spotted some issues. Especially many thanks to Tony/FM Grasshopper who made the video about the player overview/attributes much better with his voiceover and the background music. But not only for the video but also for his endless support and help. * Please note this skin is provided as-is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won’t be supported by them. How to install FM21 Rensie Purple & Dark skins: If you’re in the game just quit the game to eliminate crashes or issues with the game. Download the .zip archive and unzip it. Move the extracted folder “FM21 Rensie Dark” or “FM21 Rensie Purple to your skins folder: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/skins Run Football Manager 2021, go to Preferences and select “FM21 Rensie Dark” or “FM21 Rensie Purple” on the Overview screen. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Low Resolution skins
  9. A base skin alternative with a dark background. Get rid of nearly all the intense purple colors of the default FM21 skin. Massive Overhaul with Basic & Pro Version. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/wo734pnu8h4mf/priisek_skin Hi all I've been making skins for many years but this is my 1st season of uploading for everyone else to enjoy & hopefully from downloads so far, you are enjoying! I'll be back for FM22, can't wait to be honest, loving my venture into YouTube content creation also. Many thanks to everyone who has supported my projects so far & onwards to FM22. With this latest update, its now been updated to Basic & PRO/PRO PLUS Version Many Thanks for your support & please come join the youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/PRIISEK Priisek ★★★PRO PLUS Option★★★ ★★★This gives you the HIDDEN ATTRIBUTES if you own the IN GAME EDITOR! ★★★ In game editor required if you want the full CAPA info (Hidden Attributes) & fresh game required. 10. Football Manager 2021 - List of Available Skins and Mods With a fair bit of content now out for Football Manager 2021 I figure now is a good time to relaunch this thread, however I have made a couple of changes this year. If you wish submit your work to this thread then please refer to the instructions in this thread: Football Manager 2021 Skins. These skins are designed for the Full Mode of FM21 and will work on both the Steam & Epic versions of the game. Base Skins (Default, Dark & Dark Alt) Light Skin Light Alt Skin TCS 2021 Football Manager 2021 Touch Skins. These skins are designed for the PC version of FM21 Touch available through Steam & Epic. Base Touch Skins (Default, Dark & Dark Alt) Football Manager 2021 Mods. Mods act like skins but instead of changing the entire look only alter certain things, and can be compatible with either the Full Mode, Touch Mode or Both Modes. In addition mods may or may not require the use of a third party skin so whilst the mods listed here are designed to be plug & play please ensure you read the full installation instructions for each mod you want to use as the install instructions might be slightly different for each mod. Install Within Skin: This is for the Default Skin only, if it says no then the mod can be installed without needing a third party skin installed, if yes then if you are using the Default Skin you'll need to install and switch to a Third Party Skin (you can use the Base Skins if you still want the default appearance). If using a custom skin depending on what changes that skin has made you may be required to install the mod within the skin regardless of what is stated here. Permissions: These terms are only for including the mod within a skin you are planning on releasing, they are not permissions for you to upload the mod to another site, also if you are just using the mods for your own use you don't need to worry about these terms unless you later plan on uploading your skin. Match Screens Mod v1 Scoreboard Mods Skin Installation Instructions For instructions on how to install Skins please refer to this post: Mod Installation Instructions Installation Instructions for mods will vary depending on what they do, each individual post for a mod will include install instructions please follow those instructions to the letter, if the mod still doesn't work then make a post in the linked thread for that mod with the problem you are having. Generally to install mods you will need to copy the extracted folders/files into the folder for the skin you are using, if you are using the default skins then you will need to either download the Base Skin for the skin you are using add the mod to the Base Skin and switch to the Base Skin in game, or if the mod isn't skin dependent you can copy the mod files directly into your User Data Location, again please ensure you read the install instructions in the post for the mod as they will explain where the files need to go. Please note the above skins and mods are provided as is, and links to third party sites are out of our control, whilst we will do our best to check the links, you are advised as always to run a virus scan on any file downloaded from the internet.
