  1. Football Manager 2018 - How To Add a Manager Picture Like with FM17 Football Manager 2018 no longer allows you to add a picture to your manager instead encouraging you to use the Facegen system. However last years mod still works so at the moment you can add a manager picture with a bit of work though it may be disabled again in a patch and still has the same limitations as last year. Thanks to some work from @Cyrius50 at www.manager-online.fr it is now possible to add a Manager Picture when adding your Manager to the game, however at the moment it isn't possible to apply the picture to existing profiles nor to change the image so make sure you are happy with it before applying it. When you have installed the mod on the Add Manager panel select either Edit Profile or New Profile, then on the Profile screen you should see a new option below the Social Networks as in the below picture: Clicking on 'Choose Picture' should take you to the file select popup, from here browse to the location on your hard drive where your image is selected and select the image, in the below example I have selected an image of the FM18 logo. Once that is done fill in the rest of your profile as normal and continue through the profile settings and once you are into the game your image should now be showing: Again this method has it's limitations: - You cannot assign a picture to an existing manager, if you want an existing manager to have a picture you would need to retire that manager and create a new one to take over but you won't be able to keep any of your in-game progress. - It isn't possible to change the image after the profile has been created so make sure you are happy with the image before you get too far into your game. Whilst you can now edit your manager in game this feature doesn't allow you to change the profile picture nor will editing the face here override the set picture. - Also be aware this feature is unsupported and might be removed again if the game gets another patch, also I have only tested to see if the image will appear I have no idea if it will cause any issues further into the game, so it is used at your own risk. Installation Instructions Full Mode - After extracting the zip file if you are using the default skins you can place the panels folder directly into your User Data Location (My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\) if you are using a custom skin then it is best placed inside the folder for the skin you are using. If it wants to overwrite any files then you are best checking the manual instructions in the below post / linked pages below as it means the skin you are using has already customized the file used so you'll need to modify the file yourself. Touch Mode - After extracting the zip file you need to place the panels folder inside the folder for the skin you are using, if you are using the Default Touch Skins then you'll need to download and switch to the Base Touch Skins. If it wants to overwrite any files then you are best checking the manual instructions in the below post / linked pages below as it means the skin you are using has already customized the file used so you'll need to modify the file yourself. - Next load up the game and if the skin cache is on turn it off and reload your skin, then follow the above steps to add your picture. (Once you have confirmed the Add Picture box has appeared you can turn the skin cache back on). 2. Football Manager 2018 Match In-Between Highlights Mod If you have downloaded the last few versions of this mod you should know what to do by now, though I have made a few changes this year but the instructions are largely the same. So as you may have noticed the match screens have been redesigned in Football Manager 2018 which is actually a good thing for this mod as we now have more room to work with and the base coding is a lot similar to my coding than in previous years so I've been able to spend my time improving the individual panels instead of having to get it working in the first place. As a change this year I have gone back to the Split Containers which allows you to adjust the width of the containers in game which allows you to more easily customize them to fit the content you want to display and your resolution, unfortunately you cannot adjust the height of the right panels in game that still needs to be done through editing the files. To resize the panels just grab the divider between them and drag until they are the size you want, if you want to get rid of one of the containers just drag the line to the corner of the screen so it disappears. Also thanks to the changes there is only the need for one version of the mod regardless of which skin or even which mode of FM you are using, though some of the information or screens might not show up in the Touch Mode as it doesn't support the same data as the full mode. And as always outside of the match screen this mod make no changes, so it should be compatible with any skin that hasn't already altered these panels. Installation Instructions For Full Mode Version: If you are using the default skins: - Place the panels folder into your User Data Location which by default is: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\ If you are using a custom skin: - Place the panels folder inside the folder for the skin you are using, by default this will be: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\skins\<skin_name>\ Then from the Preferences -> Interface Menu turn off the skin cache and reload your skin for the changes to be loaded. For Touch Mode Version: After unzipping place the panels folder inside the folder for the skin you are using, by default this will be: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager Touch 2018\skins\<skin_name>\ If you are using one of the default FMTouch Skins then you will need to download and switch to one of the Base FMTouch Skins. Then from the Preferences -> Interface Menu turn off the skin cache and reload your skin for the changes to be loaded. To change the item shown in each panel just select the drop down arrow in the top right hand corner of each panel and select the view you want. So if you want to change the Left Panel from the Overview to the Match Stats view, just select Match Stats in the dropdown menu. You can also adjust the width of the columns in game by dragging the dividing line left/right, unfortunately you cannot adjust the height split of the right panel as the game wouldn't store the status. If you want to change the appearance of the content that appears in the individual menus then you will need to follow the instructions in the Advanced Instructions section below. Advanced Instructions These are largely the same as last year so if you used last years version you should know what to do. How to Enable Different Views How to Adjust the Size of the Panels How to Change Kit/Logo & Text Sizes on Overview View FM18 Match in Between Highlights Mods Download Page Change Log v3.0 Released 16:15 GMT 2nd March 2018 - Updated for patch 18.3.0 --- Redistribution Terms You are free to post this content to your website provided: 1. 3. Football Manager 2018 - Match Review Screen Mods Another change to the match screens in FM18 saw the old Overview screens being replaced with context specific Review Screens, however the default screens are a little lacking in detail so these mods use my Match In-Between Highlights panels to improve the data shown and add some better customization to the screens. There are three screens in total: Match Half-Time Review This screen shows when a match gets to half-time and has had the following changes made: - Added a box around the Competition Logo, this and the text will use the Competition colours to help with visibility - Added a selectable panel under this on the left where you can select various options. - Fixed the middle panel to now show the worst performers panel. - Split the right panel vertically and changed them to selectable panels with the same options as the left panel. Match Full-Time Review This screen shows at the end of a match before you go to the team talk screen and has had the following changes made: - Added a box around the Competition Logo, this and the text will use the Competition colours to help with visibility - Added a selectable panel under this on the left where you can select various options. - Tweaked the middle panel to add some more match stats at higher resolutions. - Added a split right panel with selectable panels with the same options as the left panel. Post Match Review This screen shows when you go to view an already played match and has had the most work done as it is the main screen you'll use. It is largely based on my Match In-Between Highlights Mod but with some tweaks: - Has three panels with the right one split. - The widths of the panels can be adjusted in game to suit your needs, have also allowed the vertical split to be adjusted as it not remembering the position is less of a problem here. - Each panel is a selectable panel so you can adjust what is shown from the drop-downs and like with the IBH panel you can further customize by edting the xml files. - Added the score and kit bar to the Dual Player Ratings panel. - Also added a best/worst performers panel. Installation Instructions If you are using the default skins: - Place the panels folder into your User Data Location which by default is: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\ If you are using a custom skin: - Place the panels folder inside the folder for the skin you are using, by default this will be: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\skins\<skin_name>\ Then from the Preferences -> Interface Menu turn off the skin cache and reload your skin for the changes to be loaded. When installing if you are asked if you want to overwrite any files if they have the 'ibh' bit in their name you can say no as it shares files with my IBH mod but I've included the files so you don't need to use that mod if you don't want to. NOTE: I haven't tested this with the Touch Mode, but it uses the same files so it should work with that mode as well though some options might not be available. To change the item shown in each panel just select the drop down arrow in the top right hand corner of each panel and select the view you want. So if you want to change the Left Panel from the Overview to the Match Stats view, just select Match Stats in the drop-down menu. For the Post Match Review Screen you can also adjust the width/height of the panels in game by dragging the dividing line. For the other screens you'll need to see the advanced instructions below. If you want to change the appearance of the content that appears in the individual menus then you will need to follow the instructions in the Advanced Instructions section in the below post. Also if you don't want to alter all three of the screens then you can safely delete the files for the view you don't want, the following xml files from the panels\match folder control each screen: Half-Time Review Screen: 'match mid match review panel' xml file Full-Time Review Screen: 'match full time review panel'xml file. Post Match Review Screen: 'match in between highlights panel review' xml file. Change Log v1.1 Released 16:41 GMT 23rd November 2017 - Fixed problem with changing views affecting other screens v1.2 Released 14:24 GMT 27th November 2017 - Fixed problem with views resetting. v2.0 Released 19:33 GMT 22nd December 2017 - Updated for patch 18.2.1 v3.0 Released 16:12 GMT 2nd March 2018 - Updated for patch 18.3.0 fixes problem with logos not showing. 4. Football Manager 2018 - Match Day Backgrounds Mod This is a small mod that re-enables background images on the match screens in Football Manager 2018 and Football Manager Touch 2018. Backgrounds should now shown on all match screens apart form the pitch and presentation views (which is where you want the pitch showing), however the backgrounds will not show when you are in-between highlights on the pitch view nor will it remove the grey stadium background from 2D Classic Mode, though like with the default skins backgrounds should show behind pinned widgets. Also if you are using the Dark Skin (or the Dark Base Skin) you will need to edit it first to enable backgrounds (instructions are with the Base Skins). Installation Instructions. - First download the correct version of the mod for the game mode you are using. - Extract the zip file and you should have a 'client_object' folder place this folder in the panels folder for the skin you are using. - If you are using the default skins you will need to download and switch to the relevant Base Skin and place the folder in the panels folder for that Base Skin. - Load up the game and if the skin cache is on you'll need to turn it off from the preferences menu and reload your skin (or switch to the Base Skin if you have been using the default skins). - If on installing the mod you are prompted to overwrite any existing files then you will need to refer to the manual instructions in the below post to modify the file yourself as your skin has already modified the file in question. FM18 MATCH DAY BACKGROUNDS MOD DOWNLOAD PAGE (Page contains links to both Full Mode and Touch Version). Change Log v2.0 22nd December 2017 17:45 GMT. - Touch Version Only - Updated for patch 18.2.1. (Full mode version doesn't need updating). v3.0 16:16 GMT 2nd March 2018 - Full Mode Version Only - Updated for patch 18.3.0 --- Redistribution Terms You are free to post this content to your website provided: 1. It is not sold or behind a paywall. 2. You don't advertise it as being exclusive to your website. 3. My username and blog address are included: http://michaeltmurrayuk.blogspot.co.uk/
  5. I've made some changes to the tutoring panels to allow hidden stats/PPM's. You'll need to have the editor to display the panels correctly # To get the panels working, download the panels, make sure they are named correctly (player training panel.xml, tutor information panel) and copy them into your skins panels/player folder. player training tutoring.xml tutor information panel.xml
  6. I changed some parameters in the config file and the newgens are less pale than before. You need to replace the original file (make a backup first) in the folder: sifacegen/configs Close the game and restart it. lighting_facegen.json
  7. Football Manager 2018 Competition Review Screen Mod Another change in FM18 is that we now have a new default fixtures & results screen which includes a couple of new items but is missing the goalscorers data shown in the other views. So this is simple mod that adds the goalscorers back into this screen and to ensure it works across various resolutions I've turned the panel into a split panel so you can resize the league table panel to fit in the result details if you are playing on a smaller resolution. This was also a lot more of a fuss than I thought it would be as it seems the coding for these panels is a bit of a hack to get the height and width to adjust - I could only get it to adjust one or the other not both, hence the cheating with the split containers to fit the information in at smaller resolutions, so depending on your resolution you might need to shrink the league table half down until the score information displays nicely. Installation Instructions If you are using the default skins: - Extract the zip file and place the panels folder into your User Data Location which by default is: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\ If you are using a custom skin: - Extract the zip file and place the panels folder inside the folder for the skin you are using, by default this will be: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2018\skins\<skin_name>\ Then from the Preferences -> Interface Menu turn off the skin cache and reload your skin for the changes to be loaded. Mod should also work with the Touch Mode as it uses the same files, though I haven't test it on that mode.
