  1. I'd like to see the following features added to the in-game editor. - Option to be able to switch between making cpu mangers un-sackable or not (E.G Klopp getting sacked for losing a couple games mid season) - Option to set squad number for player you may transfer to reflect real world transfer for cpu teams (E.G. Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid will wear no 21) - Option to be able to set transfer date (E.G. Pavard to Bayern in summer 2019) - Option to be able to retire player to reflect real world scenario (Sinan Bytyqi becoming scout after being forced to retire)
  2. Okay, here I am, a basic, rookie, amateur editor for FM19, wanting to take on one of the biggest challenges (for me especially) to make an international super league. Now I have seen @krlenjushka make his FIFA Nations League for FM18. No one has attemped this for FM19. So let me be the one to take on this great challenge. One thing I might ask for is help along the way. A bit more of guidance honestly because I want to hone my editing skills to be up there in the ranks. Enough about me, here is how it will be set up IT WILL BE SET UP ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE FM18 COMPETITION, SO PLEASE DO NOT GO ON SAYING I COPIED @krlenjushka SETUP! 227 nations are arranged in leagues using latest FIFA rankings. 212 FIFA members + 15 non-FIFA nations. Games are played from January to December. FIFA Gold League - 13 nations - 1 relegated, 4 in relegation playoff FIFA Silver League - 12 nations - 1 promoted, 4 in promotion playoff ,1 relegated , 4 in relegation playoff FIFA Bronze League - 12 nations - 1 promoted, 4 in promotion playoff, 1 relegated , 4 in relegation playoff FIFA League 1 - 20 nations in 2 groups - 1 promoted, 1 relegated , 4 in relegation playoff FIFA League 2 - 40 nations in 4 groups - 1 promoted, 1 relegated , 4 in relegation playoff FIFA League 3 - 80 nations in 8 groups - 1 promoted, 1 relegated , 4 in relegation playoff FIFA League 4 - 50 nations in 5 groups - 3 promoted + 1 best ranked 4th team FIFA Cup of Nations - 227 nations in cup stage - single elimination - Final on neutral stadium U-21 leagues are arranged same as senior leagues There is only one itsy-bitsy difference, and that is Kosovo being a FIFA Member. So, in order to accommodate that, I will make the FIFA Gold League hold 13 teams so the lower divisions don't have to change in format. The cup may be a problem for me, but I will strive to make sure that it will work. Instead of me uploading on the spot, I will update you guys with screenshots as I go along. When I am finished, I hope the product is how everyone has imagined it to be!
  3. So this began out as me looking to create a 22 Tier database, but it was brought to my attention that one was already in the making, therefore I am looking to create the logos for the teams, competitions and possibly also the cities and stadiums if possible that will accompany this database created by @Dan BHTFC (Link to his page) Make sure you check out his content as it has been high quality for many seasons now! Peace. Instructions for installation: Download File Extract File Move logos folder to where your graphics folder is, for me it will be Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2019 > Graphics (You may have to create a graphics folder) Boot up Football Manager 2019 Go to Preferences > Interface Click Clear Cache Return to Preferences and click Reload Skin You have to Clear Cache every time you add a new logo and then go back and Reload the skin! 4. I was wondering just now, what if there was a way to make a team based in, say America, but the team's regens are Mexicans. So basically, Team A is located and based in Country A, but Regens are from Country B. If that is possible, could someone teach me how to do it?
  5. Re-vamping the whole Welsh football league system but when testing new rules the database is pulling through the teams twice? "Require maximum of 16 teams for Welsh Premiership, found 32" I've had a nose around and can't work out whats been ticked/un-ticked thats causing this. Any and all advice welcome. Wales Super test .fmf
  6. So, I decided to create a North Korean database with 3 working leagues, a national cup, and a supercup. While creating the database, I had to set the season update day like any normal custom database. The DPRK Premier League begins in December 1, and ends October 28. I put a break for all 3 leagues on the week of 4.25 (April 25, basically a North Korean sacred day). Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, the early preseason begins on October 15 and the start of the season is November 26. But like I said before, the season update is November 5. I feel like there is something wrong with this formatting, so I need somebody, or just anyone who is reading this to check all aspects of North Korea database. If you want to edit this database, you can mess around with it, but remember to actually test it and fix the database. If you actually fix the database, please keep these 4 things: Keep the season update day on November 5 Keep the break week for all 3 leagues on the week of 4.25 Keep the start of the season December 1 and the end of the season October 28 Leave the cups as they are Those are small things, but keep them the same. I'm only looking at how to fix the season update, and preseason thing. I have never actually made a database before, so you could expect some rookie vibes. North Korea.fmf
  7. Hi, I'd like to create my own throwback database, return to eighties behind the Iron Curtain, especially in my home country, former Czechoslovakia. The most important ruled I want to include are transfer restrictions: no player could move abroad until he reached a certain age (at least 30 years) and a certain number of international matches (30 or 50, I guess). Is there any way how to include this rule, at least the part based on age? All transfer restrictions possibilities I found are connected with transfers to club/competition, not out of them. Thank you very much for helping me out!
  8. Hi all, So I won't be using it for my main save but i wanted to use editor in another save just for some fun. When i try to load the database in editor however, the file won't show when choosing a database despite me double checking it was in the folder I selected. Can anyone help?
  9. Is there any way to mass-edit in one-go multiple players (for example their clubs, nationality, etc.) in the Database change screen (as shown in the screenshot below) or do we have to go through every different players and modify them one by one? Thanks.
  10. so i recently edit a competition, and the past winners of the competition is not updated. any solution?
  11. Tired setting up new awards (Player of the Year, Manager of the Year etc.) for custom leagues I created. However, I only get one option for 'Award Period' which is 'Of the Year' and have no option of disabling voting. This has led to my custom awards not working. Curiously, all the voting and award type options show up for awards already in the game.
  12. Hello everyone. I have a couple of questions for advanced fm editor users. 1.) Is there a way, to import new teams for a new competition from xml file. Where can I find a template for it? Itt should speed up my process of creating teams for my 40+ new competition. 2.) Can I somehow tell editor to automaticly set the team logo, kits & colors for the combinations of the foreground and background color I added? If not, where can I found the settings of the logo? (Currently all my new teams have blue logo and kits, which is not so good) 3.) Is there a way to create a competition level to be like for example: XY competition (level 4) which has regional groups based on the counties of the nation, but some of these counties has sub groups. So can I set the parent competition settings like XY comp. (0 teams) > XY county (0 teams) > X group (12 teams) and XY comp. (0 teams) > XY county (0 teams) > Y group (12 teams) If this is possible, will FM know that these groups should have about the same amount of teams, so there will not be a fixture like X group has 5 teams, Y has 19 teams? Also is it possible to make a promotion/relegation playoff for these to subgroup, if there is 2 subgroup on level 4, but 3 on level 5? 4.) Also because of the regional levels, the cup is like: Each county has it's qualification subcup, and the winner will continue in the parent cup with the teams from the 3 competition levels above. How can I acheive this? If you have some good tutorials for this tasks, please let me know Thanks for your help in advance
  13. The Following Screenshots are from FM Editor 2019 The Goal is to try to create an international double round robin league consisting of 20 teams with the possibility of relegation and promotion. The first (top tier) league was originally planned for the best 20 seeded teams (FIFA Ranking) following by the next best 20 seeded teams in League B and so on and so forth. This league would replace the Domestic Leagues and really focus on internationals i.e. this league. I was still planning to have a World Cup once every 4 years (keeping qualifications and everything in place) but I want the Nations League and Euros and African Cup of Nations and similar Continental Cups to be gone. Can somebody guide me how this could be possible using the editor? Thanks!
  14. I'm working on a new World Club Competititon, but I'm having issues. It has a group and a cup phase, but the cup phase is not being created in game, the groups work fine, the teams get qualified but it stops there. Also, I'm having trouble with match days. It was scheduled to the groups phase ends on 31/12, but in game it has matches untill january. What can I do to solve both problems?
  15. Ongoing topic in the editor highway subforum. Still wants a reply there. Link I have a request for a feature that let you either "edit the number of how many players you can register for a season" or "change a players trained in nation status". Norway have this stupid rule that you can only use max 9 people that have not spend at least 3 years in the nation before turning 21. You can only register 25 people, 16 of them has to be trained in Norway (3 years before 21). Meaning only 9 could be from other countries. Only work around is to get them before they turn 18 (many leagues has this rule where you can't get them before 18) and keep them in your team for 3 years before you can start using them. And then try to restrain them from leaving the club. I have been wanting a solution for this since 2009. Either have a feature that can change the number of people you can registrer to unlimited (or a high number, 50 perhaps) or have a feature that let you set trained in nation to a player at any given time, you can today change their nation status but not their trained in status. I would be forever grateful for a solution
  16. so i am wondering why you cant change the logo, or history of a club in the in game editor? because the logo and history is under club detail, and when i go to the change club detail in the in game editor, the logo change and history change arent there?!? i dont understand why? it should be easy to fix. i found some information and the actual logo, that i would like to ad to my Heath Rangers save, but i cant do that. please make an update where that would be possible. thanks
  17. I have recently read a few posts on researchers using '0 attributes'. This basically means that the attribute can be anything in a different save, 1-20. I don't think this is very realistic, let me pose a real scenario to show why. I think that using 'attribute ranges', would allow researchers to be more specific, whilst also ensuring some randomness and variety between saves. Let's use Marcus Rashford as an example. Let's say it is clear that he is a determined player. He is still young, so it is not clear just how determined he is. Since the researcher can see he is at least fairly determined, they can use an attribute range to model this in-game. Rather than setting the attribute to 0, they can set it to say 12-18. This could be done for other attributes too, for example, free kicks. Rashford has taken one or two, really good free kicks so far in his young career (eg. v Celta Vigo). Is this going to be a consistent thing or a one off? No one knows, so rather than setting the attribute to 0, meaning Rashford's free kicks could be anything as low as 1, they can set it to say, 8-18. This is a wider range, but at least it means that Rashford free kicks are not terrible, which they are not in real life. It could be used for a player's potential too. Using Rashford again as an example, let's say the researcher thinks that Rashford is going to become a very good, but not world class player. Using a custom range, the researcher could set his potential to 150-165, say. I'm not saying this should be Rashford's potential or anything, just showing how it could be used to allow a researcher to be more specific whilst also keeping variety between saves. Any feedback as to why this would not be a good idea is welcome.
  18. Until FM12 or FM13 there was a possibility to create new nation in Editor without the need of changing extinct nation. You just had to make "add new nation" field editable and then you could add as many nations as you like.. After 2013, that possibility was disabled... I know that sometimes when you mess too much with database you could make your game unplayable, but that shouldn't be the reason to ban people to try their best to make it as they like. All this being said, I would like to ask you to put that possibility (creating as many new nations as you'd like without the need of replacing existing nations) back in the game
  19. Is there a way of applying Bilbao-type signing/transfer rules to other clubs? For example could Aston Villa be made to only sign players from the West Midlands, or for Chelsea it would be players from London... however the game breaks down club location? Would this have to be done individually for every club or would a database be achievable where a rule like this was global? I tend to do youth development saves, so I can keep my own policy in check, but it would be cool to widen it out to see how other clubs get on in the game. I also like the idea of a no-transfers-allowed database, but I've heard that clubs being taken over by new owners can upset this and wipe out any embargoes - Similar idea to the region specific rules, but a bit more of a challenge.
  20. Hi everyone I'm tring to build a custom competitions for nations. I have a problem in a draw for the cup phase (after the group phase). i'm not able to set the draw in order to combine the 1st teams against the 2nd somedody could hepl me? here you can find the editor file: https://oc.sigames.com/owncloud/index.php/s/Kzvhd0MdU3v4Nv4 Regards
  21. The last two years I have found this YouTube channel which helped me create my own league structure etc.. But over the years I have been editing my own database last year I did Norway from scratch created 6 strong team like in the epl with unique chairman who was in charge of transfers and the sign some amazing players from Norway and South America... But am wonder if there is anything you guys might know that no one else knows... In the community. I leave the link to that YouTube channel here
  22. It would be really great if the Editor had support for saving filters. I find that I reuse a lot of the same filters (same as the game... go figure) and so it would save some time and effort if we could have those templates handy to pull up from previous sessions.
  23. It would be really awesome if the developers provided some automation tools that allowed for editing certain fields in the FM Editor database across multiple specified records (based on whatever search criteria) at the same time (could be players, staff, clubs, competitions, nations, etc.). You could specify how you want to 'map' the edits onto the records based on certain formulas, if/then statements, etc., as well. A analogous feature would be something like what MS Excel has with if/then conditions and formulas. I feel like the idea is fairly intuitive, right? If not, here's a concrete example. Something I like to do this year as a challenge/twist is to change the potential abilities for notable young players (say all players under 21 with CA and World Rep above 100) from hard coded positive integers to the corresponding negative integer range e.g. 166 PA => -9 PA (150-180). The problem is that it gets quite tedious to do for a lot of players, and so it would be really helpful if I could just specify the appropriate formula to map all the specified players' positive integer CAs to the appropiate negative integer based on those easily formulated 'binning' rules. Anyway, i think this is fairly fleshed out as an suggestion. The tricky part is to actually implement a user-friendly GUI around what I imagine to just be SQL Queries that change records/fields in the database. Any other feedback and input is welcome I'll try to update the post with good content so it doesn't get buried (if this thread were to be so lucky).
  24. Can we have the ability to change the strength of a player's weak foot using the in-game editor.
  25. I play an online save where we edit in rich clubs to the premier league with sugar daddy chairmen. Whilst playing we noticed a problem where a club can be subject to a takeover bid, which enforces a transfer embargo. Of course this happens right around the transfer window and a player (me this time) is left at a disadvantage. We've started our save again and we're now looking into making sure this doesn't happen. We discovered you can edit in that the club will be fan-owned and always remain so. However at the start of the save the chairman status is "willing to listen to offers" still. This was the case beforehand as well. Is there any way to change this in the pre game editor? Thanks.
