  1. I want to create a super cup for Greece. My country for some reason doesn't have one but I want to give the chance to the Champion to play with the Cup holder. There was a competition many years ago which had gone extinct, until 2007, and then it got extinct again. I tried enabling it but nothing happened. Then, I tried creating one, but still nothing happened. Any help please? Thanks
  2. Hi everyone! I would like to add different payments for cup matches based on tv picks and selections. I would like to assign a precise amount of money for a tv match as they do in England with live and featured FA Cup matches. So for example a payment for live tv matches is £ 70,000 while the fee for another tv match is £ 20,000. Is it possible this sort of editing? Any suggestions? I hope I made myself clear.
  3. *** Disclaimer*** First and foremost as always, I unfortunately feel the need to inform anybody that reads this that this isn't a rant or a flaming post. All of my posts are meant to foster discussion. Sometimes, sadly the community turns against one another. Secondly, since I discovered FM, I've had nothing but success at it... The first few versions I lucked into it and everything past that has been about applying real world tactics within the confines of the definitions of Football Manager. I would presume that it's wide spread knowledge that club and manager reputation is considered to be broken by most users. A user can win league, cup, and Champions League title year after year only to see their reputation barely increase and in some cases even drop. This has been observed by users playing in leagues with low reputations as well as users playing in leagues such as the EPL. The reason that this is an issue for most players is that reputation has been programmed such a far-reaching impact on the game. It affects sponsorship money, the level of player you're able to attract, transfer and contract fees (incoming and outgoing), etc. This is effectively shown here Football Manager Reputation Experiment . In this three part experiment, the user gives non-league side Halifax the maximum reputation in the game while dropping Arsenal's reputation to the lowest possible. An overview of the impact is that Arsenal were forced to sell a large majority of their starting players during the first three transfer windows while being unable to bring any player in. Over the course of four seasons they became a Euro Cup tier side. Meanwhile, Halifax stormed up the leagues and made a fair amount of money while doing it. But what's particularly of note for my point is that in four years, Arsenal went from a reputation of 1 (the lowest you can possibly have) to about 5500 (about three stars). That's a massive jump in a relatively short amount of time for a side that lost most of it's well-known players, staff, and only qualified for the Euro Cup here and there. I say massive relative to how a user-controlled team's reputation seems to work. Again, despite user's signing or developing some of the world's most renowned players, winning the biggest competitions in successive years, taking on big names in pre-season setups, the reputation never jumps that quickly in that amount of time. So the question becomes about if there are mechanics in play to artificially influence a user-controlled team's reputation. It would seem that there's a strong possibility that this is true and it would make sense. Many users become bored after they feel that they can buy any regen and basically plug and play. So it would make sense that if users can achieve unrealistic success with minnow clubs, perhaps the developers felt that having a more "realistic" reputation system would lead to a degraded challenge and experience. Basically, by having the AI team's reputation be more dynamic, it allows for a continued and varied challenge for the user over the course of a save. What are your thoughts on this?
  4. After the veritable success of the FM14 Nordic Super League structure - which some of you may remember - I could not help but to create something like it for FM2015 as well. I present to you, the Nordic Superleague! The Nordic Superleague is comprised of six divisions that incorporate each Nordic country from Sweden to the Faroe Islands into its structure. This format is the handiwork of swedish FM player deadwood, whose example here enabled me to swiftly create this league structure. Please do check it out, it's quite good - if you can read Swedish! I've simplified the league structure a tad for my own purposes, and I feel like this is at a serviceable quality right now. To play, simply select Sweden - the leagues will appear there. DOWNLOAD The file is compatible with the 15.3 updated database. Here is the league structure. Division 1 - Statoil Premier League 16 clubs Division 2 - Nordea Nordic Championship 18 clubs Division 3 - TeliaSonera Conference League 20 clubs Division 4 - Nokia Square 4. League 20 clubs each ___________Nokia Sq. Svenska Division 4 ___________Nokia Sq. Norska Norra Division 4 ___________Nokia Sq. Danska Västra Division 4 ___________Nokia Sq. Finska Västra Division 4 ___________Nokia Sq. Färöiska/Isländska Division 4 Division 5 - ISS National 5. League 20 clubs each ___________ISS National Svenska Division 5 ___________ISS National Norska Norra Division 5 ___________ISS National Danska Västra Division 5 ___________ISS National Finska Västra Division 5 ___________ISS National Färöiska/Isländska Division 5 Division 7 (Inactive) Nordic League (over a thousand clubs) So we've got three normal leagues and two divisions separated into Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish and Icelandic / Faroese subdivisions. For realism, I decided to include the subdivision names in Swedish. Keep in mind that this work is still far from perfect. There are probably some clubs I've left out of this entire league structure, though they won't have any impact on it (tested). I will be patching this file on-and-off when I feel the urge to do so. I hope many of you will find enjoyment from this!
  5. I am writing an alternate history for a UK football team and although the leagues remain the same, there is a UK-wide football competition replacing the Scottish League Cup, Football League Cup, and Welsh Football League Cup, and is also open to teams in the Northern Ireland Football League. I have tried to use the FM editor, but suffice it to say I am useless with editing/ modding etc. So I am here to ask if anyone would be interested in doing this? Ideally it would go as far back as the 60's, but even just a couple of years would be great. I'll rewrite the timeline to start the competition from wherever it can be simulated from. I'll write up the results on this page - http://althistory.wikia.com/wiki/UKFA_Cup_(UKatWC)#results and individual pages detailing each years competition. Thanks for reading!
  6. Is there anyway to get the actual correct grouping of the Champions League in FM 18? PS. I don't even have the correct premier league fixtures and I unticked "Use fake fixtures". I bought the game of off Steam. THANK YOU<>.
  7. Hi all I have created a fantasy draft group for FM18. The idea is to gather a group of like minded people to play in leagues and cups with custom team building rules and budgets that will differ each time. Leagues will be played over a long time so only require a small amount of time for 1-2 games each week as I know what it can be like trying to arrange multiple players to be online at the same time. Cups will be played either over a week, weekend or side by side a league once the group is in full flow. This is still a work in progress so I am open to any advice, ideas and suggestions. For now it would be nice just to have players join the group so we can move forward with regards to growing and setting up drafts. So please take a look and see if it is something you want to be part of! http://steamcommunity.com/groups/fmflc Thank you for your time and interest. Mak
  8. Hi guys, apologies if this has been discussed before but I've searched and not come across anything. I want to create a cup competition that fits into the regular season using only teams from Yorkshire (specifically the top 16 or 32 teams in Yorkshire regardless of league). Is this possible? And if so, how? Thanks in advance, Chris
  9. Hi everyone. First of all I'm sorry if I sound weird my native language is the spanish Well... I have the Peruvian Competition and I modified the Second division to be playable and it now have a simple 20 teams instead of the original 16. Now I want to create a cup for the Second Division and a new Third division. I created a Third Division in the editor with 20 teams but it don't appears in the game. I'm really new in the edition so any tip and ways to improve my national division will be well received
  10. Hello. I would like to ask if any of you have a formula in your heads or a shortcut that you may use in creating unusual cup rounds. I've attached a screenshot from rounds designed by a friend of mine in the past but I've no idea how he thought it out (going back from the final, adding teams?); I've rolled back to basic rules since it shows in one neat screen how the teams enter and are distributed. I want to create some similar cups, but for a different number of teams and different number of added teams/round. So for instance say there's this cup with 420 teams, but (save for the first few qualifying rounds) I would like that for each new round 32 teams are added until the round of 64, then 0 for round of 32, then another 16 and striaght KO from there to the final. That's just one example. I would also like to make some regional cups inspired by the Brazilian state cups model. So say we have 53 teams. Teams from the highest division (say top 4) should enter around Q-final or S-final, then the lower-tiered say 10 teams a round before that, and the rest of 39 split into 2 or 3 qualifying rounds. I've seen here on the board an easy way to make the regional cups, by assigning the teams a secondary division, so that works for me. Therefore what I'm really looking to find out if you are using a specific method in making the calculations required for such types of cup rounds. Or maybe instead of calculating it, maybe use byes for the higher seeded teams? (I couldn't find where to give byes to teams in the advanced editor, though). Thanks! PS Does choosing a number of qualifying rounds in the editor have any real effect in the game?
  11. hi i am managing Italy, and we have reach the semi finals of the European International League, with that match scheduled for 21st June, but we are also in the Confederations Cup this year with the first match on 29th June, what happens to the EIL final if we get through. thanks
  12. Hi, I would like to replicate the Italian "Eccellenza" promotion system: Every season, 36 teams get promoted from Eccellenza to Serie D, they are: -28 groups winners -7 playoff winners -the winner of Coppa Italia Dilettanti (Italian Amateurs National Cup) If Coppa Italia Dilettanti winner has won its group, the runner up gets promoted. If runner up also has won its group, the winner of a match between semifinalists gets promoted. If only one of the 4 semifinalists didn't win its championship, it gets promoted. If all of the semifinalists won their championships, spot keeps vacant. How to: 1) Implement the "repechage" system? 2) Avoid the Coppa Italia Dilettanti promotion spot owner to play playoffs if he qualifies?
  13. For those of you unfamiliar with what a double elimination tournament is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-elimination_tournament So, is that possible in the FM17 editor? I don't want to start then realise what I wanted to do was impossible.
  14. Does anyone else think it would be cool to add a feature where one's assistant or another member of staff could manage fa cup and capital one cup matches against teams like crewe, swindon and luton. Many dont care about domestic cups or if they do probably dont want to spend 10 minutes in a match against a tiny club? sort of like how it works with friendlys
