Searched the forums, but haven't seen a thread on this yet. I've a question about the reports given to me by my scouts. The issue is that I keep receiving the same report time and time again. Players such as Mbappe and Donnarumma pop up in most of the time. How do I keep the scouts searching for players, without the need to have them overlapping or reporting back with reparts that are more than a season old? Do you also micro-manage your scouts, or leave the job to the chief? In previous versions I used to send out scouts en masse when regen fever hit, often to great effect. Less so in this version. Is it because of a weak in the game, or am I not using the scouts properly?
Hi, In my Oxford City save, I have a transfer budget of £0, so am reliant on free transfers and loan players to bolster the squad. I am having trouble getting my scouts to produce reports (let alone recommendations) on any loan players taking part in matches that they have watched. Whenever loan players participate in a match they are watching, the scout ignores them. The only recommendations I am getting are from their contacts in the game (it's then roughly 50:50 whether these players are actually interested in a loan). I have raised this as a bug in the relevant forum. However, I would like to know whether anyone has been able to get their scouts to report on and recommend any loan players from matches they have watched? Here's the last filter I tried: I have tried variations of this filter with no minimum scouted potential or current ability and removing the estimated cost filter and changing the transfer budget from "Automatic" to "£0" or setting it to a maximum of £200M. I have also tried selecting a specific position, but leaving player status as "all" and role as "any". I think these parameters are all quite broad, for example, I am not asking for specific attributes or age restrictions and in many of the filters I have not imposed any ability requirements and yet the scouts are not even considering loan players right under their noses. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, TE
When managing a team in England and setting the scouting responsibility to chief scout from the 7 available scouting team he sends 6 to do UK & Ireland and 1 for Next Opposition. Why doesn't he spread the 6 doing one location to have 6 scouts scouting 6 locations. My Cheif Scout is Italian, I've managed in Spain (4 years) and Germany (4 years). I have a dual nationality of English and Israeli. I am currently managing Man City in the Year 2029 and have plenty of money. Seems like a bug and has nothing to do with scouting knowledge or available funds.
I have a few questions and I'd really appreciate if someone could answer them for me. Scouting Packages - why can I keep changing them multiple times a season? How does it make sense that I can select the expensive one, shortlist any players I want and then change to the cheaper one, before even being charged for it (my scouting budget doesn't change at all when I select a package)? Assignments - in previous FMs I would send my scouts on ongoing missions all around the world, but apparently that costs a lot of money now - I can't actually see the price of it anywhere though. I'm managing a club with low finances and I'm worried that if I do that, I'll end up being bankrupt without even noticing. I'd be way less worried if all scouting costs went directly from the scouting budget, but apparently it goes from your club balance, unless you're scouting players outside your scouting reach - makes zero sense to me. Scout attributes - what I used to care about in previous FMs, was that my scouts had good scouting knowledge. I didn't care about their JPA/JPP, because I had one or two ~20/20 scouts that I used for scouting players, the rest was just to build up my scouting knowledge. Apparently these attributes matter more now, apparently scouts with better JPA/JPP send more reports than the poor ones, is that true? Thanks!
