After a couple of single-club saves that I lost interest in pretty quickly, I have decided to start a journeyman save on this forum. However, instead of doing a normal journeyman save, it will be an alphabet career similar to that of @PaulHartman71's legendary FM2016 career. I will however start unemployed with zero coaching badges or experience like a regular unemployed journeyman. I have decided I will move clubs to the next letter when I have won some silverware whether it be a 4th tier title or the UEFA Champions League. So lets meet the manager, 20 year old Abacus Abcde (Pronounced ab-sid-ee) I will obviously start out looking for a job at a club starting with A. Adjusting to the scale of the challenge I will be a bit lenient with names counting teams like ASMB Belfort as a B or AC Milan as either an A or an M. I have loaded these leagues. Lets go looking for a job
Inspired by @PaulHartman71's excellent alphabet challenge on FM15... Young Harry was about to embark on an adventure through the alphabetical world of football management. He had heard stories, legends, of managers in the past travelling that fabled path of a club for each letter of the alphabet, but this time was different. His extreme need for a sequence in his career was stronger than those that went before him. A club for each letter of the alphabet was not enough. No, Harry dreamed of a Porto team of Pogbas and Pienaars, a Bourtnemouth side with a core of Balotelli and Bale. He did fleetingly worry about his jobs at Xanthi and QPR and the work he would have to do there, but he quickly buried that thought - he would deal with that when it came to it. He breathed a sigh of satisfaction as he imagined his first team sheet filled with sweet A's. Rules: - The clubs I manage must begin with the letters of the alphabet in order (AEK, Barcelona, Chelsea etc) - I can only sign players with a surname beginning with the letter of that club (for example, if I was at Mansfield then I could sign Messi but not Ronaldo) - I can select the players already at the club when I arrive regardless of their name until I find a better name fit for that position - Must spend at least 365 days at a club before I can move on First club Atletico Madrid... Let the annihilation begin.
Welcome to my new save where I am attempting to win the League and Cup double in all 51 available nations on the default database of the game. All my updates will be in graphic form with a small bit of writing after. Above are the base aims and rules of the game. The next post will be list of nations, their allocated number and also the random list of numbers allocated by Random.org.
Hey all and welcome to my Career update post for my save this year on FM17 Touch mode. Why FMT? I just like it for the speed, my laptop isn't the best and this suits me better. I also like to Instant Result the less important games to quicken it up even more. What is the Alphabet Challenge? I always the put a twist on a challenge I've heard of before and that's what I have done with this save. The aim is to win all top nation division titles starting with "A" and ending with the final nations which begins with "W" (Wales), I will load up the 3 A Nations (Austria, Australia and Argentina), I cannot move to B until I have completed the "A" Nations, When Ive won all the "B" ones I move to "C" and so on and so on. My manager will start unemployed and with "Sunday league" reputation. I will only post an update at the end of each season so expect one in the next couple of days.
