  2. So my Valencia "Nemesis" died a death, this might seem stupid but when I reread my previous Chelsea thread (where I had first come up with the idea) I noticed that I should have taken over Sevilla not Valencia and getting it wrong bugged me... I lost all interest in the save and just couldn't motivate myself to continue, thus back to the drawing board! After at least 10 minutes consideration and a trawl through the forums I have decided upon 2 saves, running concurrently to try keep my interest and variety up. Yes I hear you cry, I struggled to keep my teeth into 1 save, how will I manage with 2, well, you may well be right but lets see what happens shall we. You can all shout "I told you so" at the end of the thread :P So save number 1, yes I am returning to Chelsea, I fancied a self imposed transfer embargo save, but didn't intend on buying the FM20 game when it came out (because I'm cheap) and because I don't always buy every years edition, and because I didn't really want to wait for the game to become available to jump into the save. Thus I have taken advantage of This update by Lazylen in order to use the current Chelsea squad in FM19, hence using the future squad, but in the past! I figured I wasn't going to play as myself in this save, that manager portrait is taken from a 3D generation of a real portrait picture, it looks somewhat like him but there you go. I obviously gave him International Footballer status, when it came to the badges, I found an article indicating that Frank started his Pro license in March 2018, thus as I am starting in June 2018 I have only given him the A licence, will be interesting to see if this stops me from being able to manage European games like it would in real life. When it came to style I bumped up attacking and dropped defending, increased working with youngsters, determination and motivation. I am sure he knows not very much about goalkeeping so they all got dropped. When it comes to goals for this save I really am not sure but some possibles are: Play and develop youngsters, must have at least 1 academy player in the match day squad for every game. Survive the transfer embargo without getting sacked Stay and be successful as Chelsea manager as long as possible, getting sacked would end the save Only job I would consider taking that would make me leave the Chelsea managers job is an England national team job at any level I may take a concurrent International managers job if offered one to build experience and reputation. My dislike of David Luiz has not dissipated and I am very offended by this indication from my backroom team! Also turns out that the transfer embargo didn't need to be self imposed after all! Fantastic editing This save is being run concurrently alongside Around the world, hitting it from the back, nice and slow
  3. Background This is an FC Andorra career topic . Wiki FC Andorra Piqué buys FC Andorra Starting in the 5th tier. The stadium name mentioned in this screenshot is wrong. I changed it when i restarted with the right database. Our ground is called Camp D'esports Prada De Moles with 531 seats. Rules : No transfers or loans (except the one's that signed already) - Youth academy only. Contract renewals are allowed. I want to get in La liga with a team full of Andorran academy players . Maybe i'll manage the National team in the future. Game setup Note : i'm using a database update with 5th tier from Spain included , with Pique as secret owner and fan and with five future transfers for next season (players they signed in real life) . I also changed the stadium (they had an old stadium with +- 900 seats, in real life they play in the Camp de Fútbol de Prada de Moles (530 seats) This is my first topic . I hope that i can continue this save till FM20 , posting about it will encourage me to continue. Thanks Sheriff7 for the editor file , kits and many information (and inspiration after reading his topic about FC Andorra) @Sheriff7 Thanks Andychar and scousevasey for the tips about Gyazo software . @andychar@scousevasey Thanks Mr Makoto Nakamura for the youth only inspiration(Croatia Berlin ) and skin. @Makoto Nakamura
  4. Hello Folks, A little late with this, but I currently have a save running in Gibraltar called 'The Rock'. We are managing FC Hound Dogs (yes, that's right) the worst team in the league system and set-up by a bunch of Elvis enthusiasts. It's a small club, so small in fact that our Chairman is also our best centre-back. I am currently on episode 50, and it has been a huge amount of fun to put together. The critics are raving about it. "I've seen worse" "My 3 year old couldn't do any better" "My Dad didn't make me turn it off immediately" Come along and give it a try from the start or perhaps at the beginning of the new season (episode 51). 6. I have totally re-vamped The International Champions Cup for FM19 and have now used a Champions League format. The tournament is held in the USA and contains 32 teams all from Europe for the first year. 7. Welcome to Laos! A country of stunning natural beauty. Nestled between China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand, Laos is one of the poorest countries in the region. It is cut off from the sea by Vietnam to the East and many of its inhabitants rely on the Mekong River for their livelihoods. Old traditions are still practised in modern Laos, especially in the sacred city of Luang Prabang where lines of saffron clad Buddhist monks can still be seen receiving alms from the community. So this is the country that I have settled on for my new FM save. A country of undoubted beauty. But the football in Laos is probably going to juxtapose the stunning scenery that you can see from the above images. The Laos National Football Team are currently ranked at 188 in the world. Their highest ever ranking was 134 in September 1998. They play their home games at the New Laos National Stadium in the capital city, Vientiane. I will be beginning my career with Luang Prabang United This is one of the few teams to play outside the country's capital Vientiane. They are expected to finish 6th in a league of 8 teams. They play their home matches at the Luang Prabang Stadium. You can see them in action at their home ground against the Laotian top dogs Lao Toyota FC below: I'll be posting screenshots from the actual game soon to show you what I have to work with as we prepare for a tough season in the Pepsi Lao Premier League. Welcome to Luang Prabang, Laos. It's going to be a tough ride. Stay posted for the first instalment where I will be posting about the situation at Luang Prabang United as I find it on initially taking over. How bad can the third worst team in the Laotian Premier League be, right...?
  8. DAVID JAMES - FROM EVERYTHING TO NOTHING David James... Over 800 games as a professional goalkeeper and over 50 international caps for his native England and now, nothing. Earning over a reported £20 million over an illustrious 25 year playing career in which he played for English greats Liverpool and Manchester City. In 2014, James declared himself bankrupt after accruing a large amount of debt after separating from his wife in 2005. In November of 2014, James placed hundreds of his football memorabilia for sale in order to pa off his ever growing debts. Now, in 2018, he is looking to earn that money back and is reportedly ready to try his luck within the crazy world of football management. Is anyone is willing to give him a chance? That remains to be seen...
  9. By Timo for FMSLife Sujet Original Football is the number one sport in Ukraine as in most of Europe. Association football in Ukraine is governed by the Football Federation of Ukraine, which was organized in 1991 to replace the Soviet Football Federation of Ukrainian SSR created earlier in the 1920s as part of the Soviet system of physical culture councils. 11. I have a general opinion that when players play continously at a position with same players, then they tend to form a partnership with them. Yet, in my team there are just two partnerships (bw CB and bw DMs) made even after 2/3 of the season has passed (I play Barnsley in Premier Division, FA Cup and Euro Cup as well) and I have been using the same tactic for a while now. Maybe there's some training which helps building partnership. Also how does it benefit the team like better cohesion or something?
  12. Hi(again) to everyone in this beautifull forum..After Gibraltar,Liechtenstein,Lithuania and Malta my next managerial experience will be at Spain.Well not exactly at Spain but to a nation with many connections with them,Andorra! ANDORRA LA VELLA (ANDORRA) Andorra is a sovereign landlocked microstateon the Iberian Peninsula, in the eastern Pyrenees, bordered by France in the north and Spain in the south. Believed to have been created by Charlemagne, Andorra was ruled by the Count of Urgell until 988 when it was transferred to the Diocese of Urgell, and the present principality was formed by a charter in 1278. It is known as a principality as it is a diarchy headed by two Co-Princes: the Catholic Bishop of Urgell in Spain and the President of the Republic of France. is the capital of the Principality of Andorra. 13. Okay guys, so I was thinking to upload about this issue from many days but didn't get time for it. In the last season when I got promoted from Skybet Championship as Barnsley, other Premier Division clubs released the players as usual but the players were unusual. One of them was luis Suarez, a 22 year old one and other was Thomas Muller, again a 22 year old one and their stats and playing position also matches the original players(not exactly). Thomas muller isn't that great but Suarez really is. Here are the attributes screenshot of two players. Is it a bug or something and where can I find more of these duplicates as they are cheap enough for Barnsley
  14. New fresh story guys. This time not in a micronation like Andorra or Gibraltar but in a country with really bad national team and football generally..Let's go to introdutions: SET UP COACH COUNTRY MOLDOVA (/mɒlˈdoʊvə/ (listen), sometimes UK: /ˈmɒldəvə/),[11][12][13] officially the Republic of Moldova (Romanian: Republica Moldova), is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe,[14]bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south.[15] The capital city is Chișinău. Most of the Moldovan territory was a part of the Principality of Moldavia from the 14th century until 1812, when it was ceded to the Russian Empire by the Ottoman Empire (to which Moldavia was a vassal state) and became known as Bessarabia. In 1856, southern Bessarabia was returned to Moldavia, which three years later united with Wallachia to form Romania, but Russian rule was restored over the whole of the region in 1878. During the 1917 Russian Revolution, Bessarabia briefly became an autonomous state within the Russian Republic, known as the Moldavian Democratic Republic. In February 1918, the Moldavian Democratic Republic declared independence and then integrated into Romania later that year following a vote of its assembly. The decision was disputed by Soviet Russia, which in 1924 established, within the Ukrainian SSR, a Moldavian autonomous republic(MASSR) on partially Moldovan-inhabited territories to the east of Bessarabia. In 1940, as a consequence of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, Romania was compelled to cede Bessarabia to the Soviet Union, leading to the creation of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic(Moldavian SSR), which included the greater part of Bessarabia and the westernmost strip of the former MASSR (east of the Dniester River). On 27 August 1991, as the dissolution of the Soviet Union was underway, the Moldavian SSR declared independence and took the name Moldova.[16] The Constitution of Moldovawas adopted in 1994. The strip of the Moldovan territory on the east bank of the Dniester has been under the de facto control of the breakaway government of Transnistria since 1990. Due to a decrease in industrial and agricultural output following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the service sector has grown to dominate Moldova's economy and is over 60% of the nation's GDP. Its economy is the poorest in Europe in per capita terms[15][17] and has the lowest Human Development Index in the continent. Moldova is also the least visited country in Europe by tourists with only 11,000 annually recorded visitors from abroad.[18] Moldova is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime ministeras head of government. It is a member state of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and aspires to join the European Union.[19][20] CITY BALTI (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈbəltsʲ] (listen); German: Belz, Polish: Bielce, Russian: Бельцы, Beltsy, Ukrainian: Бєльці, Bielci, Yiddish: בעלץ‎ Belts) is a city in Moldova. It is the second largest city in terms of population, area and economic importance, after Chișinău. The city is one of the five Moldovan municipalities. Sometimes also called "the northern capital", it is a major industrial, cultural and commercial centre and transportation hub in the north of the country. It is situated 127 kilometres (79 mi) north of the capital Chișinău, and is located on the river Răut, a tributary of the Dniester, on a hilly landscape in the Bălți steppe. CLUB FOTBAL CLUB ZARIA BALTI, commonly known as Zaria Bălți or simply as Zaria, is a Moldovan football club based in Bălți, currently playing in the Divizia "A". Between 1992 and 2014 the team was known as Olimpia Bălți. History[edit] Old logo Football professional clubs existed in Bălți before 1984 playing in the Ukrainian Class B (Soviet lower division of football competitions). Among those clubs was FC Piscevic Bălți (originally as FC Stroiindustriya). In 1966 Stroiindustriya Bălți became a champion of the Moldavian SSR and was admitted to the Class B competitions. Following liquidation of the Class B competitions in 1970, FC Piscevik disappeared. The club was founded in 1984 as FC Zarya (Russian: ФК Заря Бельцы), and in 1991, when Moldova gained its independence, the club was renamed to FC Olimpia Bălți. In July 2014 it was decided to return to the old name - FC Zaria Bălți. The Zaria gained worldwide notoriety in December 2009 for putting an online bid through which the winner would awarded a one-year contract as a player with the club.[1] The winner was a Brazilian businessman who had a brief career as a footballer in his native country. Nevertheless, the winning bidder declined the position stating that, since he never paid the application fee, he assumed his bid would not be taken into account.[2] In April 2010 the club called for a new bidding round.[3] The winner was never announced, though Europe STADIUM IN GAME Zaria Balti is one of most competitive clubs in Moldova who surprisely relegated last season. They have won Moldovan cup once in past and played several time in Europe. This season also they found it difficult even in Moldovan second division and at least in game they hadn't manager. AIMS * Return immediately to First division. * Return to European competitions. * Dethrone Sheriff Tiraspoll. * Make impact in Europe. * Take national team job and improve them.
  15. NK Pajde Möhlin (FC Rakitić) An Introduction I have always been fascinated by the idea of clubs playing in league structures that are different to their respective nations. Now I have found one that is 304.42 mi (489.92 km) from the nearest settlement in the clubs home nation . This club is NK Pajde, based in Möhlin Switzerland, and it is Croatian and 304 miles from Savudrija or 500 by road. I discovered this club by accident in a previous save, managing in Luxembourg, and a bit of research has given me the following information* - NK Pajde Möhlin is a football club of Croatian emigrants in Switzerland from the town of Möhlin - In 2012 they entered the Second League of the Swiss Canton Basel. On the occasion of this success, they played a historic friendly match with European star stars, friends of the chief club sponsor Ivan Rakitić: Vedran Runje , Ivan Klasnić , Mladen Petrić , Boris Smiljanić , Ivan Perišić , Emir Spahić , Mario Gavranović , Ivica Dragutinović , Franco Di Jorio , Granit Xhaka , Damir Džombić , Josip Drmić , Ivica Grlić , Daniel Pavlović and the popular Bosnian-Herzegovinian actor Enis Bešlagić - Pajde are the most successful Croatian football club in Western Europe, according to their wiki page - In reality Ivan Rakatic is the main sponsor of the club and I will put his branding on the kits I have made, his Dad Luka is the President of the club and his brother Dejan is first team coach. This will change as the game has generated a new chairman and I will be managing. - In my previous save the club seems to have generated Croatian youths during the save so I am keen to see if it continues to do so moving forward. The plan for this save is going to be youth only, I have spent a lot of time reading various saves here so am looking to do my own, scousevasey’s BeNeLux save is a great read and Makoto Nakamura has done a similar save in the German leagues. I have got a few rules to go with here; This a youth only save I am going to play a possession based tactic, being an Arsenal fan this appeals to me, and with Ivan Rakitić as a main stakeholder I would like to imagine he would want this I will try and sign Croatian staff but imagine this may be a problem early in the game, so will also sign Swiss staff as we are in Switzerland First Post incoming. *if anyone has any more information on this club or anything I mention then let me know, most of my knowledge comes from translated wiki pages and a few posts on instagram.
  16. US Granville I recently started a save game with US Granville. The choice of the club is quite simple: during my holiday last summer, I fell in love with the region Normandy. We were on a campsite near Granville, so I saw their stadium almost every day. That’s were the idea started to start a savegame with them in Football Manager. First some background information about the club, thanks to Wikipedia. History Union Sportive Granville, commonly referred to as US Granville or simply Granville, is a French football club based in Granville in the Lower Normandy region. The club was founded in 1918 and currently plays in the Championnat National 2. This is the fourth tier of the French football league system behind Ligue 1, Ligue 2, and the Championnat National. Granville share a partnership with nearby professional club SM Caen.[2] In season 2015–16 they had a fantastic run in the Coupe de France, eventually losing in the quarter finals against Olympique Marseille (0-1). In 2018, Granville beat Girondins de Bordeaux 2-1 in extra time, on 32e of Coupe de France. Youth only This will be a Youth Only based save. I allow myself to buy back academy players who I’ve sold. But I won’t buy any other players. Although I’m inspired by the likes of @optimusprimal82, @Jimbokav1971 and @_Ben_,I will not post very detailed posts as them. I would really like to, but as English is not my native language, it’ll take too much time to write them. So I’ll just stick to short updates with a lot of screenshots. My mail goal: win the Champions League with US Granville. I know it is possible, as I won the CL in FM17 with IR (Iceland). I’m currently managing in the second season. In the next post I’ll show you how the first season went. From then I’ll regularly update during the season.
  17. So in a simple understatement, my life exploded, leaving me living somewhere else without my old computer and my old saves... So as it's time to start a new chapter in real life, it's time to start a new (exciting) chapter in FM as well (because FM is life obviously) I toyed with this idea during my Chelsea save, I started keeping an eye on Maurizo Sarri's movements after I replaced him at Stamford Bridge, he took a few months off (probably tried quit smoking) then took the job at Valencia. Thus the notion was born in the back of my head that after I had won everything with Chelsea I might move on to Valencia. I didn't because I'm a chicken and I've never stepped foot out of the Premier league, but now EXCITING new beginning. The premise of the save is I will start at Valencia, as that is the place this idea was born, I will look very carefully at where the Valencia manager gets a job, and once I have no more mountains left to climb at my current club, I will move on and remove him from the job he took when I kicked him out the 1st time. In my head the fans will be like "oh no not Joe Bloggs.... but on the bright side in a couple of years we'll get Neil Greenwood" Most likely he will retire after the Valencia sacking and this save will go nowhere fast :P I'm going to load an unspecified number of leagues (after Spain obviously) see what random delights I get to see this way. If I get sacked then the save is over and my Nemesis has won If he gets sacked / re employed before I have finished with the previous club then it just adds to the list of clubs I have to manage, basically any place this guy steps foot into I have to follow and destroy him until he retires. Apologies if anyone has come up with this idea / done this before and I haven't acknowledged or given credit for it, I am not trying to claim it as my own, I've just not trawled through the challenges section closely enough.
  18. I've made a custom database where i've selected every player and set their loyalty to 1 and removed their contract. However, when I start a new game none of the changes work. The same thing happened to me with different changes in FM18 so I'm guessing there's something I'm doing wrong. Anyone have any ideas? I've attached my database FreeAgentNoLoyalty.fmf

  20. Recently, I have made my own club in the editor called Dudley. All seemed to be functioning well, but in game I found that the back of my designed kits weren’t as I set in the editor. In the editor, my home kit should have a square for the number but that isn’t the case in game. Also my third kit should have a plain back but doesn’t with both kits instead following the same pattern as the front of the jersey. Anyone encountered a similar problem or have a fix for this?
  21. The year is 2018 and I have just completed all the coaching courses needed to become a football manager and I've just been offered my first job. I've travelled south of the border to meet the chairman of the club who's laid down his ambitions and offered me a contract. I phoned my family to say that I'd be leaving my home in Glasgow to take charge of the mighty Bath City. "Bath City are delighted to announce TheFMBoss as our new permanent manager" the club said on social media. This was it, my first step in football management. I met with the captain of the club, 36 year old goalkeeper Ryan Clarke, where I told him that I was aiming to guide the club to the play offs in my first season, and to do it playing fast attacking football. Ryan was only new at the club a year but as the most experienced in the side he was immediately given the captains armband. He was excited to see what I could bring to the side, but most importantly who I could bring in to strengthen the side, because he initially thought the club "weren't currently in a position to push for the play offs." I thought that he may be right, so I ran through a squad list to see who isn't up to scratch and where I could bring in a couple of players to improve the squad.
  22. Anyone had an unexpected World Cup winner in their save game? Mine is one I really was surprised by. First African nation to win a World Cup! You'd probably expect Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon or any of the stronger nations in Africa to win a first World Cup for Africa.... but Mali... and in 2022??
  23. Hey, I've bought FM19 a couple of days ago and started downloading some League Packs, Real Name Fixes und Logo Packs. It all went fine until I've tried to install a face pack with a ton of faces. I deleted the cache and tried to reload the skin as suggested but then the game crashed and I couldn't get it started again. ("The game quit unexpectedly" - think you know that therm here already) :-( After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to fix it (Reinstalling the game, deleting the cache folder etc.) I just removed the Sports Interactive Folder and started the game again. And again: All went fine. I've added the league packs and so on again. Including the 170.whatever faces. Reloaded the skin and it crashed again. Now I've removed the Sports Interactive Folder a couple of times and started all over again (even without the faces) but it always crashes after reloading the skins. Don't know what I did wrong. Were that too many faces? But why doesn't it work without them after I started again? Hope I could it explain it understandable. Here are some of my computer details: I've already read a lot of other threads but no one could successfully help me :-( Looking forward to some expert tips. It's the first time I'm playing FM19.
  24. I'm unable to get any of my coaches to help a player work on a player trait or ppm. The coaches are all greyed out. I don't know what to do. Some help would be appreciated.
  25. The 1966/67 season database for FM19 is your unique chance to try and manage some of the most legendary players of all time. We've all heard about Pele and Eusebio, now we have the opportunity to see these footballing legends in action in Football Manager. This season, in particular, has a soft spot in football's history forever, as England have just won the World Cup, and the Scottish team Celtic won the European Cup (today's Champions League). Some of the players from this era are still regarded as the best ones of all time in their respective countries. I've researched for years to make this Football Manager database, looking through old archives for stats, watching video material, talking to football historians to make it correct in terms of player attributes as much as humanly possible. So jump into the Football Manager time-machine and travel back to 1966 when The Beatles and Elvis Presley were on top of the Hit-lists and Pele, and Eusebio were the poster boys for one of the most iconic periods in football history.
