  2. Currently managing Southampton & England U21. When I go into my national pool, the ability column is empty for most players, assuming this is because it is taking the club scouting reports not national. They have all been scouted by my national pool but they don't show up unless I go into the player profile. This is very frustrating when I am trying to pick my team, I just let the England assistant do it (I have no U21 Assistant as it is very hard to sign someone for the job). I cannot attach the game file as it is too large. As from the Screenshot all the abilities are Unknown, then I go into a players profile and go in to the national report section and its there. How do I get the national reports to show up consistently in National Pool.
  3. FM19: European journey - CSKA Sofia and onwards! Hello everyone! Been lurking on and off here for quite some time, and after recently picking up FM again in my spare time, I've decided to finally join the fray with a CU thread. Usually my first career on any FM game is reserved for my favorite team - CSKA Sofia, and this one will be no different I'm afraid I thought about switching to a different club for this first thread, so as not to overlap with other users, but since I've been away from the series for a few years, this will be a relatively laid-back save to begin with. We won't be aiming for major continental trophies or the Ballon d'Or, and given my dubious transfer skills a few surprises are bound to happen along the way. In terms of geography, you might have noticed the UEFA logo above - this will be our playground for the duration of the career. While obviously managing a team in one of the top 5 leagues is among my goals, it might take us some time to get there, and the lower divisions will probably come into play at some point. The Club ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ Club: CSKA Sofia Status: Professional Founded: 5 May 1948 Stadium: Balgarska Armia Capacity: 22,995 (18,495 seated) Nicknames: The Reds, The Armymen Honours Bulgarian First League - 31 x 🏆 1948, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1958–59, 1959–60, 1960–61, 1961–62, 1965–66, 1968–69, 1970–71, 1971–72, 1972–73, 1974–75, 1975–76, 1979–80, 1980–81, 1981–82, 1982–83, 1986–87, 1988–89, 1989–90, 1991–92, 1996–97, 2002–03, 2004–05, 2007–08 Bulgarian Cup - 20 x 🏆 1951, 1954, 1955, 1961, 1965, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1997, 1999, 2006, 2011, 2016 Bulgarian Supercup - 4 x 🏆 1989, 2006, 2008, 2011 European Cup / UEFA Champions League Semi-finals (2): 1966–67, 1981–82 UEFA Cup / UEFA Europa League Round of 16 – 1998–99 Objectives As you can see, it's been a while since The Reds have been crowned Champions of Bulgaria, although they did win two Cup trophies in the past decade, together with one Supercup. Hence, our immediate goal with CSKA Sofia will be to end the cycle of Ludogorets domination, who have 7 domestic titles in a row as it stands. Next up we will try to gradually re-establish CSKA on the European scene, starting with a return to the group stages, where the team last featured in 2010–11 (Europa League Group L, 4th place). I will also try to improve the financial situation as much as I can, boost the national team with CSKA players, and push the board to invest in the club's facilities. Might add a few goals to this list as we go, but this should do for now. 4. Hi all, So I won't be using it for my main save but i wanted to use editor in another save just for some fun. When i try to load the database in editor however, the file won't show when choosing a database despite me double checking it was in the folder I selected. Can anyone help?
  5. a simple question that post here but no one answer:
  6. Hi can Football Manager 19 be played on the new Surface Go? (Not fm19 touch.)
  7. Okay, after monitoring Non-FIFA football for a while, I was starting to see how unfair all those FA's in ConIFA and the NF-Board were being treated. Jersey recently tried to join UEFA but failed after being rejected 49 votes to 55 (basically 6 yes, 49 no's). http://www.uefa.com/video/includerjw.html?vid=0&drawUrl=/insideuefa/livestream/about-uefa/organisation/congress/configvideo.json So I was thinking. What if a new database was created to hold one of those Non-FIFA teams. So I decided on the bio region of Cascadia. Here is their FA website https://cascadiafootball.org/ They had a pretty good run in the 2018 ConIFA World Cup, getting 6th place for their debut! Cascadia is a bioregion named after the Cascade Mountains. It consists of Northern California, Washington State, Oregon, some of Idaho, British Columbia in Canada, and the bottom panhandle of Alaska (if that's what it is even called!). The independence movement only takes Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. That is how the Cascadia Cup came to be when the three biggest teams in that region (Portland Timber, Seattle Sounders, and Vancouver Whitecaps) came together and formed a family friendly rivalry cup. So, I decided to search the internet for any ideas for a league or jerseys, and, voila! I found a fantasy logo (more like fantasy league and jersey) post by BagelHK. http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/107687-cascadian-football-association-all-done-springfield-and-victoria-added/ So this is what they had to say, "Alright, so. Last year when I was still in high school, this guy decided that he wanted to join the Cascadian independence movement. For those unfamiliar, Cascadia is a hypothetical nation typically composed of Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, although borders vary. They have a pretty sweet flag, and you'll see it around the Pacific Northwest fairly frequently, but it's mostly a symbol of regional pride, rather than an expression of secessionist spirit. However, there are some (like the guy at my school) who genuinely do want Cascadia to become a sovereign nation. So I got to talking with my bud Griffin about how if Cascadia were to become a country, we'd love it if they had soccer leagues structured like Europe's countries. The result is the Cascadian Premier League, and to a more limited extend Cascadian Leagues 1 and 2, and the Cascadian Football Association–the governing body of soccer in Cascadia. It's structured like this: 20 teams in the CPL, with the bottom 3 being relegated to League 1. We're up in the air on if there would be playoffs or not to determine a champion. The top 2 teams from League 1 are automatically promoted, and the next 4 play for the last promotion spot. Just as in the CPL, in League 1 the bottom 3 are relegated, with the top 2 teams of League 2 promoted directly, and the third spot going to the winner of a 4-team playoff. There are also a few non-league teams scattered about." I loved this post so much. It was a great concept, but they never finished League 1 and 2. And no, i'm not implying that they should. But on the post, they made all the teams in the Premier League with badges, kits, and awesome backstories. Just read it for yourself! They also say, "I've taken inspiration from raysox's Yakball and APL series, as well as pcgd's America League..." So I looked at both of those posts. Yakball is a fictitious sport, but the America's League was just what I wanted to see, another fantasy football (soccer) league. http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/91573-the-america-league/ Basically, pcgd redid the American football pyramid. With the American Prem, and Leagues 1 and 2, and creating totally new fictional teams. So, looking through that post, I saw a comment (pg. 17) from someone saying they wanted that fantasy league in Football Manager (2010). So, the comment just below it (from the creator) said it was already done. http://it.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/comments/1giun3/america_premier_league_v10_three_tiers_all_set/ I downloaded the file and looked through the logos. They were very well done. So I was wondering, with that Cascadia fantasy league already posted, with logos, kits, and everything, could someone please, please make the Cascadia database in FM19? ---------------------------------------------- FINAL CASCADIA DATABASE AND GRAPHICS ARE HERE!!!! 8. I'm make a huge system and i need create a competition where only 3 teams will promoted and all others will be relegated to lower level (from 5th level to 6th). The competition it's basic domestic league where the first team (champion), second (runner-up) and third at the end of the season will promoted. This isn't the only difficulty, however. Also i need that this system work without regard the amount of teams in the division (one year will there 16 teams, anothe will there 18 or 21). Always, will be promoted 3 teams and will be relegated all others. How I could to create this?
  9. Woking FC - a takeover So my first game on FM19 will be with the team that were just down the road when i grew up. I am a Gooner at heart but Woking is still the first team i saw live in their relative heydays on the mid 90's. The aim here is to take the side from the doldrums of the Vanarama Conference South to the lofty heights of the Premiership. Club History Woking Football Club are a semi-professional side based in Woking, Surrey. Formed in 1889 the club play at the Kingfield Stadium (Named the Laithwaite Community Stadium for sponsorship reasons) and are nicknamed the Cardinals or the Cards. Whichever you prefer. Now in the 6th tier of English football after their relegation last season, the club is looking to rebuild and in the short term get themselves into the league football season for the first time. A feat the club nearly achieved in 1995 and 1996 where they came 2nd two years on the trot just behind Stevenage on both occasions As you can see there is some cup history with 3 FA Trophies to our name coming in 1994, 1995 and 1997 highlighting how dominant Woking were in non-league football at one point. It was during this time that Woking famously took than Premiership side Coventry to an FA Cup 3rd round replay where a last minute goal prevented the tie going to extra time. Finances Finances are especially key in non-league games as you need the money in order to make the jump from semi-professional to professional status. I am pleased to say that the club are in the black and are looking pretty good with £160k in the bank The finances mean we can go and add some new players to the squad with an extra £2k or so per week available to offer to new signings but we will have to make do with no transfer fee budget for the time being. Expectations Having been relegated last season, i was expecting relatively high expectations by the board and i wasn't too wrong as the Board demand we finish in the play-off spots (Top 7) which nicely aligns with the Media's pre-season expectations where they predict us to finish in 7th as well However, as you can see the odds between 2nd and 7th are exactly the same, meaning it will be tight. Relative moneybags Billericay are going to be tough, whilst Welling had a decent squad and Torquay have history of being a League side so shouldn't be underestimated either.
  10. AIM - Slow personal ascension through the lower leagues of England RULES - Start the game unemployed and load English leagues up to or past the Vanarama National League. Take over a team in the Vanarama National League and only move to the next league after Winning the League multiple times. You start at the Vanarama National league, win it multiple times, then move on to the Skybet League 2, win it multiple times, then move on to Skybet League One. As you can tell by now, winning a Lower League multiple times brings in some interesting conditions. Yes, you guessed it. You have to win the Vanarama National League, resign, sign for another Vanarama National League team, and win the league again and continue the process. When you win the League the required number of times to qualify to the next league, you can choose to a) Go into the Next League with your promoted Club or b) Take a job at a club that is poised to play in the League you have now qualified for. No save game editors allowed. No scouting programs allowed. Player attribute masking on/off is up to you. This Challenge comes in two Tiers- The Gold Challenge and the Platinum Challenge. The Gold Challenge requires you to win each League in the 5 English leagues twice, starting from the Vanarama National League and going up a League after winning it twice, up until you win the Premier League twice to finish the challenge. The Platinum Challenge requires you to win each League in the 5 English leagues three time (3x) , starting from the Vanarama National League and going up a League after winning it three times, up until you win the Premier League three times to finish the challenge. Promotion through 2nd place finishes and playoffs do not count - Your aim is to win all the leagues, multiple times, in order. You must turn down job offers at clubs in leagues you have not qualified for. Loaning players from affiliated clubs is allowed. At the start and of every season you post a screenshot of your squad list. A Screenshot of some of your favourite players, and a screenshot of the final table. You are basically the Jose Mourinho of the Lower Leagues, chasing trophies at all cost even it means putting the future and financial health of your current club in peril. A few tips and interesting dynamics of such a challenge - Pushing the financial limits of your club knowing you just need to win the league and you can resign.
  11. The Youth Factory Cesena This career update is created as apart of the Youth Academy Challenge link too it can be found here. I post updates there too but will do more detailed ones here. Because of said challenge I follow the rules of it, and too give a short summary. The most important thing you would need too know is the fact I am not allowed too do any transfers in. Outside the yearly youth recruitment of course. I am free too do transfers out of the club. As apart of the setup I simulated a year too get a previously unplayable club into the Lega Pro A/B/C stages of the Italian league (3rd level). My choice of these clubs as you might have guessed by now was Cesena. Furthermore the Challenge asks you to start without former experience or badges making my manager look rather useless as the picture below will illustrate. Spoiler below contains seasonal short summary
  12. I'm trying to download an add-on to the game, but the add-on won't load. Usually, the add-on appears in the 'editor data' folder in the FM19-folder, as a .fmf file. But for some reason now it doesn't. And it is not only with this particular add-on I'm having problems with. I have been having problems with the downloading add-ons from Steam ever since I got Football Manager 2019. It's been completely fine playing previous versions. 18, 17, 16 and so on... but with 19, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is getting really frustrating because I need this add-on to enjoy the game properly. If someone could help me with this problem, that would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  13. Hey, I've bought FM19 a couple of days ago and started downloading some League Packs, Real Name Fixes und Logo Packs. It all went fine until I've tried to install a face pack with a ton of faces. I deleted the cache and tried to reload the skin as suggested but then the game crashed and I couldn't get it started again. ("The game quit unexpectedly" - think you know that therm here already) :-( After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to fix it (Reinstalling the game, deleting the cache folder etc.) I just removed the Sports Interactive Folder and started the game again. And again: All went fine. I've added the league packs and so on again. Including the 170.whatever faces. Reloaded the skin and it crashed again. Now I've removed the Sports Interactive Folder a couple of times and started all over again (even without the faces) but it always crashes after reloading the skins. Don't know what I did wrong. Were that too many faces? But why doesn't it work without them after I started again? Hope I could it explain it understandable. Here are some of my computer details: I've already read a lot of other threads but no one could successfully help me :-( Looking forward to some expert tips. It's the first time I'm playing FM19.
  14. Hello everyone. I have a couple of questions for advanced fm editor users. 1.) Is there a way, to import new teams for a new competition from xml file. Where can I find a template for it? Itt should speed up my process of creating teams for my 40+ new competition. 2.) Can I somehow tell editor to automaticly set the team logo, kits & colors for the combinations of the foreground and background color I added? If not, where can I found the settings of the logo? (Currently all my new teams have blue logo and kits, which is not so good) 3.) Is there a way to create a competition level to be like for example: XY competition (level 4) which has regional groups based on the counties of the nation, but some of these counties has sub groups. So can I set the parent competition settings like XY comp. (0 teams) > XY county (0 teams) > X group (12 teams) and XY comp. (0 teams) > XY county (0 teams) > Y group (12 teams) If this is possible, will FM know that these groups should have about the same amount of teams, so there will not be a fixture like X group has 5 teams, Y has 19 teams? Also is it possible to make a promotion/relegation playoff for these to subgroup, if there is 2 subgroup on level 4, but 3 on level 5? 4.) Also because of the regional levels, the cup is like: Each county has it's qualification subcup, and the winner will continue in the parent cup with the teams from the 3 competition levels above. How can I acheive this? If you have some good tutorials for this tasks, please let me know Thanks for your help in advance
  15. He may not have come forward as the secret footballer publicly, but there's no escaping that he's venturing into management! One of my all-time favourite Cambridge United players is my new persona for my latest thread. David Barry Kitson, or Big Dave'll do. Set up with realistic attributes with a solid base to build on. He believes in developing young local players, but would rather leave the backroom staff to deal with them! This is the basis of the club I love. After settling in League 2 for 3 seasons after a long stint in non-league, we're now looking to build on it and push up the league. However the budget isn't there and key players of previous years haven't been replaced - Uche Ikpezu and Luke Berry! I'm going to going into full detail within the save myself, no IRing, plug and play and I will be looking to develop the crop of youngsters we currently have. Next update will be after the pre-season!
  16. US Palermo – Looking For Stability February 2017 should have mark the end of an era in Palermo when Maurizio Zamparini stepped down as chairman of Palermo after 15 years in charge with over 40 managerial changes. It was first announced he had agreed to sell his controlling stake to an unspecified Anglo-American fund. But the takeover eventually collapsed after the necessary funds were not in place and Palermo ended the season in 19th place, being relegated to Serie B. The instability continued the next season and probably cost Palermo an immediate promotion back to the top flight. For the 2018/2019 Serie B season, Palermo even found themselves forced to sell a number of players due to financial issues, with Antonino La Gumina sold to Empoli and Igor Coronado to Sharjah FC. This is where I come in or more precisely Giuseppe Iachini, a former player midfielder for Palermo who also coached them two times between 2013 and 2016. During his tenure, he won his personal fourth top flight promotion, guiding Palermo to be crowned Serie B champions five matches before the end of season. The goal will obviously be to repeat this achievement but also to simply survive Zamparini’s madness.
  17. The Save: It's a journeyman save which will probably take me right the way through FM19. I start at Cork City and try to build my way up the top. Like my previous thread, I'll mix career updates with narrative. I've been playing FM since FM16 but I've only every played as Top 6 or mid-table teams in the top leagues of Europe. Now if I was being smart about this, I'd: A: Try and manage at a lower level club to give myself some experience before diving into the deep end to manage a 2 star reputation team. B. Try a test save so I can get the hang of FM19. But **** it, I'm diving right in. The Club: To start off with, I'm going to be playing as Cork City FC. They play in the SSE Airtricity League, the top tier of Irish football. They're defending champions and so the challenge would be to retain the title (a task Cork City failed to do in real life, relinquishing the title to competitive rivals Dundalk) and to do well in Europe and build my reputation before leaving. By Irish standards, doing well in Europe would be making the group stages of either of the two European competitions as Dundalk did a couple of year ago. Here's the stadium, Turner's Cross: The crest: And the mascot, Corky the cheetah: And now for the most important part, the manager! Tony Cochrane: As I've said earlier, there'll plenty of narrative to this save so you'll be seeing Tony a lot. A Cork native, he played for Cork City FC from age 18 to 27 at which point he suffered a career ending injury. He got his coaching badges at 30 and, after doing nothing with his life for the past four years, has decided to go into management. If anyone's interested, here's the league setup I have to start.
  18. Dear All I wonder if you can help. I have bought FM19 on disk and loaded the disk into the drive, I have accepted the T&C and input my activation code into steam. However from that point the game just will not download. it is constantly stuck on 0 bytes. I have read a bit on various forums and tried to clear the cache, verify the game and change the servers but nothing seems to work. I have also uninstalled Steam and re installed it. Would anyone be able to help me as its getting frustrating that I can't dosas theme. PS I am not a technically person, so any help in baby language would be appreciated. Thanks for any help Rob
  19. Dear Managers, I would like to invite you to subscribe my Youtube channel. Hope to see you guys on next stream :) if you can of course, please leave your sub and like - that's will really help me. LINK : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx58yp_LNLU Best Regards!
  20. I currently manage RB Leipzig and I've just finished the first season and have 50 players in my first team squad, I only have the option to allocate 45 numbers. Is this a problem or is this a rule in the Bundesliga?
  21. I've been searching for a re-creation of Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham tactics from this season. I'd heavily appreciate it if someone helped out. Thanks :))
  22. By Timo for FMSLife Support @Timo@ Football in France is the most popular sport and the practice is the most widespread. Imported from England in the late nineteenth century under the name of football association, football first won the Paris region and the north of the country (especially the North and Normandy where are created the first clubs in the region). The south is then more acquired to the competitor of football, football rugby. Created in 1919 by competing federations, the French Football Federation currently has around 18,000 football clubs and two million licensees. It organizes the national competitions and the international matches of the France team, which won the World Cup in 1998 as well as in 2018 and the European Championship in 1984 and 2000. The country has two professional championship divisions (Ligue 1 and Ligue 2), organized by the Professional Football League (LFP), as well as two knockout competitions: the Coupe de France, open to all clubs, and the Cup. of the League, reserved for professional teams. 24. There is a need for more detailed stats for manager history and team stats. See attachment 1: there should be a stat for how many clean sheets you have kept as manager. There should be a tab where you can see your stat breakdown per club you have been at as well as an overall one. Things such as possession average at a club, players signed per club, money spent per club etc. Attachment 2: For team stats there should be stats for the whole season including all the competitions you are involved in not just the league stats. There should also be a screen where you can see your managerial record compared to another manager. E.g. Jose v Pep stats (wins/losses/goals scored etc) including all previous club stats.
