Are you referring to the smaller logos not displaying?

    If so, add:

    <record from="2082082828" to="graphics/pictures/club/2082082828/icon"/>
    <record from="2082082896" to="graphics/pictures/club/2082082896/icon"/>

Hi, thank you for your help! No, I really mean that the logos (the big ones and the icons) are only fully displayed when the club's ID is not in the 208208**** range. In the example mentioned above, the icon of the club with the 5725051 ID appears correctly in the ranking list (I have another config file for the icons, using the structure you just indicated).

  2. Does anyone know where this issue comes from? I've read somewhere that it could be related to the fact that club ID's in the 208208**** range are not included in the "core" of the game.

But when you create a new club in the editor, it has automatically a 208208**** ID assigned to it, and you don't have the possibility to change this. Does this mean that we can't use custom logos for the clubs that we create? Would be kind of a shame...

The last competition game was 14 December the players went on break a whole 2 weeks later on 27th to come back 5th of January. Also bit weird that after the break it's a whole 3 weeks (25/1)  before the cup competition begins.  And as I said after the break I get some of the start of season things preseason fitness and code of conduct.

Ok, I understand now. Well, the editor makes it possible to define calendars for the leagues and cups, but I don't know if there's an option to specify when players go on vacation. Does someone have a clue?

  4. Really strange. The logo I created for a club already included in the default database appears correcty in game.

But the two other ones I made for clubs that I created in the editor only appear partially. They are only visible in the header at the top of the screen when you click on the club's profile, but they don't show up anywhere else...

    What's wrong with this?

There is a Christmas break during December but there is literally weeks between the last competition between the break and them actually going on break.
Also after I come back I get messages like preseason fitness and code of conduct things I think you should only get at the start of a season?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understood. The competitions should be halted between christmas and end of january. After that, there should be a winter cup taking place until the end of february. What happened exactly in your save? When did you leave on vacation and when did you come back?

You may be able to fix the greyed out name issue by copying the cities and putting them in a cloned "region" which is set to the alternate nationality? Something like that

Thanks for the advice but this is slowly getting too fakeish for me. :stop: I'll do with the greyed out turkish Heiri Güntenspergers and wait for an (eventual) proper option in the editor. Cheers!

  7. The trick with copying the cities and assign them other countries actually worked, thank you! The only small issue is that the "greyed out" players from the teams still have typical swiss names. An albanian guy named Kurt Zwicky, that's quite a funny thing! :D

Also, it is indeed hard coded because I had to modify the cities only for the clubs that I created myself. Those who were already in the main database actually produce foreign players by default, and the "greyed out" ones have typical names from their countries.

I think there should be a setting in the editor to sort this out without creating fake cities.

  8. In Switzerland, we have quite a few lower league clubs which were founded by immigrants and whose players are mainly foreigners. I would like to reproduce this in FM, by having these teams filled with generated players coming from other nations.

I noticed that without changing anything in the settings of these clubs in the database, some of them are indeed producing foreign players. The name of the club seems do be the main criteria.

For example the FC Chile Sports (based in the city of Lausanne) generates chilian players:

     Chile.thumb.jpg.997ed4105ad73adcac608d01e261bb45.jpg

The FC Iliria, based in Solothurn, generates lots of albanian players (Iliria was an old kingdom once located in actual Albania:

    Iliria.thumb.jpg.6a187271461759e2bc7506f0bed52ed5.jpg

Once again, I didn't do any special settings to obtain this result. Only the names of the clubs seem to do the trick.

But this doesn't always work. For example, the Türkischer FC Olten does not  generate a single turkish player:

    Olten.thumb.jpg.2c390e0eeabbbb19a105d1208c95a9da.jpg

Same thing with the FC Srbija 1968 in Basel: not a single serbian player in it...

I tried to change the countries in which the clubs are based:

    Olten2.thumb.jpg.0520e82d48979560c7229fbfddf1054e.jpg

But this had absolutely no effect on the nationality of the generated players...

    Any clues?

I'm going to give it a go, I played a Liechtensteiner club in FM17 only in the database I played Vaduz always went to Europe no matter who won the Liechtensteiner cup so I gave up when I found out

It could indeed have been my file, because I had this Euro League qualification problem back then. But is has been solved this time:

    https://community.sigames.com/topic/507557-more-than-one-main-cup-in-nation-rules/

Btw, make sure to download my last update. I added a second qualification round to the Liechtensteiner Cup and the comp is now as real as it can get.

The main cup is used as qualifier for the Europa League and this is something hardcoded.

What you can try is to add Liechtenstein as nation (in the same file) and the Liechtensteincup as main cup for Liechtenstein.

Thanks for your answer! I actually found a workaround without adding Liechtenstein as nation: I simply made the Liechtensteiner Cup a one-phase competition with 4 rounds - now the winner qualifies for the Euro Cup (and for the Euro Cup II from 2021 on). It appears that when a cup has multiple phases, the qualified team for the european competitions is chosen among those who won a game during the first phase. The overall winner of the competition is simply ignored. Strange, and perhaps a bug (or I didn't find the correct setting to adjust).

  11. Hello everyone,

This year I finally found some time do redo the Swiss lower league extension I already did for FM 2017. I made a complete overhaul of my previous system, added a reserve structure and everything works fine in holiday mode, except fore one thing: the winner of the Liechtensteiner Cup doesn't qualify for the Euro Cup. I had exactly the same problem 3 years ago... When  checking the rules of the competition, everything seems ok (see image). But no Liechtensteiner team ever qualifies for the Euro Cup in game, although they are all correctly based in Liechtenstein for continental qualifications...

I don't think it's a bug. It has perhaps something to do with the fact that the editor makes it impossible to have two main cups in the same nation rules. I had therefore to "downgrade" the Liechtensteiner Cup, making it a simple cup, because my file also contains rules for the Swiss Cup (main cup).

Any ideas to solve this (small) issue? Thx!

You can find my file over there:

  12. This extension allows you to choose between 800+ swiss teams competing in 7 tiers:

    Super League (10 teams)
    Challenge League (10 teams)
    Promotion League (16 teams)
    1. Liga (3 championships of 14 teams)
    2. Liga interregional (6 championships of 14 teams)
    2. Liga (17 regional championships of 14 teams)
    3. Liga (34 regional championships of 12 teams)

    CH_LIE_1.thumb.jpg.35fc3786e9ccb4913c14f5efd2a84ef6.jpg

All the 13 regional associations are featured (Aargau, Nordwestschweiz, Innerschweiz, Ostschweiz, Zurich, Bern/Jura, Solothurn, Ticino, Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Genève, Valais). The regional boundaries work pretty well even after several seasons. It can happen that a team is oddly relocated after promotions/relegations, but it remains exceptional.

I already made this structure for FM2017, but this year I found enough time to do a complete overhaul of the concept. Main improvement: every single team now has a reserve U21 team competing in a parallel 3-tier reserve structure (one of them being divided into regional championships). I kicked all the second, third (or even fourth...) teams from the regular championships and replaced them with first teams from lower divisions.

To spice things up, I added a bunch of regional cups, some of them I invented. The Swiss Cup and the Liechtensteiner Cup (with qualification for the Europa League) are also included.

The main focus of this file is on the lower leagues: choose a team from the 3. Liga somewhere in the swiss countryside and climb the ladder to national fame!

P.S. Be sure to check the "add players to playable teams" box before starting a game.
