  1. Riz asked me to post this here than in the bugs forum... If I view my main roster, the < > arrows properly take me to the next payer card on my team. If I view my unsigned prospects, the < > arrows take me to the next player on the team of the first player I selected. I think it should navigate to the next unsigned prospect. Otherwise, this forces me to exit the player card and select the next unsigned prospect, making the navigation arrows meaningless for this particular list. It would also be nice if the navigation arrows took into account the currently sorted column. For instance, if I sort by position and click on a RW, I would expect to cycle through the RWers on the team before cycling back to the goalies. Instead, it ignores the sort column and always navigates based on alphabetical order.
  2. I bought this on Windows to support SI in developing this game but would also prefer it on Mac OS X and would repurchase the game if it became available as that is my primary machine.
  3. Currently, we have "Overall" and the ability to view by Division, for either Conference. What is definitely missing is the ability to view by Wildcard: http://www.nhl.com/ice/standings.htm?type=WC#&navid=nav-stn-conf This is NHL.com's default view. This is an important screen in order to readily see who is in place to qualify for the playoffs.

  5. I did a Google search of my name and was shocked to see I was a credited researcher on EHM. I enjoyed the freeware version, bought all retail versions and am about to dive into Early Access. Needless to say I'm thrilled to hear of this development.
  6. A situation I haven't been able to resolve. I'm playing in the Irish First Division with Finn Harps and generally play a 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1. My entire back line is set to Limited Defender - Defend. In the 4-4-2 I also play a MC as DLP - Defend; in the 4-1-4-1 I have the DMC as defend. I've tried the DMC as either a Half Back or Anchor Man without much difference. No matter what I've tried, opposition strikers or wingers always split between the DL/DC or DR/DC for a clear quality chance on goal. I've tried various types of team instructions, marking, you name it. I really I don't have a lot of quality on the team but there's got to be a way to close that gap. I thought playing narrower with a low defensive line would help but it always happens. It's either a bug or my players are dumb as bricks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I'm on the verge of a winless season in the Irish Premier Division with Finn Harps. I've set a new division record for consecutive winless games. I'm surprised I haven't been fired yet. When I go to the confidence page, my status is "Stable" even though the "blue bar" is all the way to the left. Mistakes and things I have learned through this misery... I relied on a 34-year old striker potting 25 goals to get me promoted. I was hoping he could still be relevant but his declining skills means he has only scored six times all year. My "retain possession", "ball control", "low tempo" tactic was ripped to shreds by every team who had superior players at their disposal. I swear this is a bug. My DL and DR when on short passing, retain possession instructions, will, at some point during a crucial part of the match, track back toward their own goal lines and blindly cross right in front of my goal gifting a ball to the opposition striker. I've lost games on this. Giving the DL and DR a "cross less" instruction has helped somewhat but they still do it instead of simply kicking it out of bounds when in trouble. I swear this is a bug. My goaltender will try and catch a ball wide of net and inevitably step out of bounds gifting a corner. It happens too often and also has resulted in games lost on subsequent set piece goals. An aging DC with really low pace and acceleration is useless. I brought in one after promotion thinking that experience and mental attributes would put him in the right position 9 times out of 10 but even average strikers just blow by him. I've literally seen my players watch the opposition go in on goal without any attempt to close them down. It seems they've given up. At the start of the season, I pressed dangerous opposition players. After getting carved open too many times, I've avoided opposition instructions since I don't think my players can walk and chew gum at the same time. They should still instinctively press when they are the last man and a striker is going in on goal. For anyone like me who is struggling with tactics and not familiar with "football", I have to thank Cleon, the Hand of God, and others who have taken the time to post the invaluable tutorials that are stickied. Unfortunately, after reading all that, I can come up with what seems like a sound starting tactic but have difficulty seeing what needs to be done to alter things pre-match and during the game. My Assistant Manager will suggest things like "x needs to be closed down" but I know if I do that, my defensive positioning will leave holes. This is easily the most frustrating season I've ever played, having played many versions of CM/FM. It's probably a combination of wrong tactics and wrong players. But as a small club, there aren't a lot of across-the-board "double digit" players wanting to sign.
  8. I don't log into this forum very often but I am also deeply troubled by this problem since the purchase of a new 1920 x 1080 gaming laptop. The font is too difficult to read which has stopped me enjoying FM2011 and prevented me from purchasing FM2012. As has been mentioned, changing resolutions just makes the display blurry. With the advent of Windows 7, there really is no excuse for modern applications not to be High-DPI aware, especially a product so dependent on text. As a developer myself who was tasked with making our existing applications High-DPI aware, I know it's a PITA, but unfortunately, it's something that needs to be done or users will think twice about purchasing your product.
