wouldn't you be better off qualiying for the play-offs and getting even more money by winning them, what was it last season £200m or so ?.

Option 1: Auto-qualify and receive at least one season's EPL money + Championship prize money to use on building a team

Option 2: Fall back into play-offs, win the final and receive at least  one season's EPL money + revenue from play-offs + Champs prize money to build the team

Option 3: Fall back into play-offs, reach the final and lose. Receive no  EPL money and build using just the play-off revenue + Championship prize money

Option 4: Fall back into play-offs, lose the first game. Keep going with your original strategy of building  a squad with Championship money.

not sure he wants your advice 4 years later

I've noticed that whenever there is a VAR decision to make, it is always the exact same outcome:

Goes to VAR to check a foul inside the box > Penalty awarded 100% of the time

Goes to VAR to check offside > Player was offside 100% of the time

Goes to VAR to check whether the foul was inside or just on the edge of the box > Just on the edge of the box 100% of the time

No point having VAR in the game if it's going to have the same result every time - doesn't add to the excitement/tension, as I know what the outcome is going to be.

this certainly isn't the case, a rough estimate has the referee right in about 80% of cases in my game, which i imagine isn't far off real life

Yeah, the VAR never goes against the initial call in game which makes it an utterly useless feature in the game.

As above, about 80% which i reckjon is realistic. You wouldn't expect 50/50 unless the referee was blind guessing

Certainly not something obvious, Spurs qualified in my game having not been in either European competition let alone winning. Finished 8th in the prem, fa Cup semi final and league Cup runners up.

As its over 4 years, i assume you can qualify from multiple years, but its strange it isn't laid out in the game. Would be interesting to hear where they chose the rules from (or even what the rules are)

  4. Hi,

Updated the game to the latest update today (at the same time as windows 10 did an update) . Ever since then i cant play football manager as the screen is constantly flickering. Doesn't happen outside of the game or in any other game,  Looked and it seems others have had the same issue with older versions of the game, but i can't see how they resolved it

Yes my graphics card is up to date

Should note doesn't start flickering till i get to the home screen, adverts at the start run fine

    Thanks for your help

I have bought football manager touch I am an Aston Villa fan so what I was looking forward to being Aston Villa only to find that we have no money to spend an only 20 million in the bank obviously you have not done your research both and new owners are super rich apart from Man City Aston Villa are now the richest so giving them no transfer budget and 20 million in the bank in stupid. Please fix this bug because Even the new owner said Dean Smith has money to spend we have no debt! Please fix just research both owners

FFP means that any money we have to spend will only be small amounts though, doesn't matter the richness of the owners

You're right in that Abraham is better. Just as a Villa fan I think Hogan has been wasted with us and I wanted to play to his strengths. He's banged in 20 for me so far but the real revelation has been Kodjia who has chipped in 15 from a. Left wing slot.

Really Interesting that, I can't get either of them to score, however both are playing a bit part role up top, Bolasie has tucked away double figures from the left, and El Ghazi has 8 from the right i think with Abraham  on 19 up top  (and its only January). The other strikers Hogan has 0, Kodja has 1 and Davis has 1 (though he has only made 2 appearences, i wanted him out on loan but he wouldnt go). Grealish hasn't got many through the centre, in fact O'hare has scored more in that position from fewer games

I'm finding Villa an interesting challenge this year. On the BETA I romped to the tile, on the full fat game I'm top at Christmas, most goals scored and least conceded, but Swansea are running me close.

I've settled on a 4411 with the aim of building the team around Grealish - though his ratings seem to suggest he doesn't want that to be the case. I've also planned to make the most out of Hogan and play an attractive possession style.

So far so good, my struggles with Grealish aside I have Hogan as league's top scorer and generally have 60% possession a match - the byproduct of which has been clean sheets for days!

I've been very lucky with injuries but know I need to strengthen in January. So far I have Alexander Milosevic coming in for peanuts and added James Collins and Tremoulinas on free transfers for defensive depth.

Plan on shipping out Jedinak, Whelan and Lansbury and hopefully add a few gems for squad depth.

interesting you are building around Hogan up top, I find Abraham such a big improvement to him, is there a reason you prefer Hogan?

  11. The squad the game starts with should be good for a mid table premiership finish, may need a replacement striker for Abraham if you didn't get him on permanent transfer and Davis didn't get enough game time to develop. Green coming back off loan gives you your replacement winger. If you were going to target one position get a top drawer centre back, as Tuanzebe isn't really worth signing again.
