  1. August-September 2013 All in all I'm pleased with our start. We managed to get two wins in the British Cup which is always nice. I'm slightly disappointed to be knocked out of the N. Irish Cup so early. I thought we might we able to make a run there. I wasn't sure how we would do at this level, but so far we're playing decent football. I'm pleased at this point to have only one leagure loss. Peter Liggett, who has been one of my top goal scorers the whole time I've been here will miss about 3 weeks with injury. Fortunately we have serveral guys who can score. My backup goalie is unhappy and asked to be transfered. I granted his request and may need to find another backup.
  2. GL taking them back where they belong. Better do a good job as the chairman doesn't seem to have much patience.
  3. Thanks, the promotion wage increase clauses made it hard to get any good new players, so I'm not sure how we'll do at this level. Our defense looks a little stronger on paper.
  4. Not sure, I'll just play it by ear. I'm usually a very loyal manager, but if the right offer comes, I might leave.
  5. 2013/14 preseason With the move up to the Central Division the board decides to allow me to expand the staff, so I bring in an extra coach and fitness coach. We have the same strikers that we used last season. We release a couple of MFs and one that I wanted to resign decides to go play with someone else. We bring in a 25 year old rated 2 and a half stars. We release a couple of FBs and bring in two new ones. We also bring in a new 23 year old CB rated 3 stars. The media predicts us to finish last. The board expects us to avoid relegation. They expect us to reach the first round of the N. Irish Cup and the first qualifying round in the British Cup and Trophy. We sell 30 season tickets, same as last season. We had a $36,836 loss last season.

  7. April 2013 Wakehurst Premier Irish League Champions It goes down to the last match of the season. We win three straight, while Ballyclare wins two and get a draw. We lose our final match, leaving the door open for Ballyclare. A win gives them the championship, but fortune smiles on us and Chimney Corner holds Ballyclare to a 0-0 draw giving us the Championship. We move up to the Central Division with Ballyclare for next season.
  8. February-March 2013 Injuries plague us in Feb. and the early part of March, with several key players out at the same time, so I am very happy to suffer only one loss. Ballyclare keeps winning and tightens the race. Surprising PSNI, who finished 20th last season, is just 4 points out.
  9. December 2012- January 2013 We continue to hold on to first place. We suffer no losses for the two months and our unbeaten streak rises to 16. We are not scoring goals like we were earlier in the season and we end up with more draws than wins. But it's enough to stay on top.
  10. Yeah, I was looking for Charlie too. Nothing like the original. I used to wear out that Decade of Hits album of his when I was younger.
  11. This is more like it. Try it Tom, you'll like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19leVWfr_fI&feature=related
  12. Not really my cup of tea, but the video was "interesting."
  13. Whatever you're smoking there, Tom, can you mail me over some?
  14. I think it has been toned down in 11.3. Seems to be balanced fairly well to me now.
  15. Great season, congrats.
