  1. I'll do a proper season review, but look at this for a final day of the season! My 2nd season in charge, 1st season in top division, and we go to Olimpia on last day of season knowing a win will see us win the league! Olimpia have a better GD than us but we've beaten them twice so if we win a third time we'd win the league on head to head record. We won't win, but 2nd in my first season up and taking the league to the last day has been unbelievable season. Not sure how this has happened, doesn't say much for the Slovenian leagues, as my team is like a lower half English league 2 team (maybe!)
  2. This game sometimes, I mean, I love it, but sometimes it's stupid! Just had my 3 team leaders come to see me and ask for emergency meeting, and advise that i should give my backup goalie the first team football he's asking for. All fairly normal for FM, but yes you've guessed it, one of the team leaders is my first team goalie, who's mood and body language improved when I said ok then I'll play him!!
  3. 9th is a decent first season @Thebaker a few more players like Zouogbo and Emmanuel and you'll be up near the top in a season or 2. Annoying to lose Liccardi he looks like he could have been handy
  4. Season 1 - 2024/25 (NK Roltek Dob - Slovenian 2nd Division) Introduction After my usual pathetic 3 or 4 attempts at the Youth Academy challenge, I decided to return home to this challenge, which is always my favourite save of the year playing in some obscure league and leading a minnow to glory. I chose Slovenia, and NK Roltek Dob jumped out at me due to the decent youth recruitment/junior coaching they had for the level they're at (due to our relationship with premier league team Domzale). Club's starting profile, board expectations, and season preview had us lower middle table. Season Report League Table | Fixtures 1 & 2 We absolutely romped the league! Were leading very early on and never let up the whole season, as I often do in the lower leagues, I abused the loan market, but had some good players of my own too. Also had a fantastic run to the semi final's of the Slovenian FA cup, in the end losing to premier league team and often seen in Europe - Maribor. 3-2 flattered us, they absolutely battered us, but on paper 3-2 makes it look like we ran them close! Club Infrastructure Finances | Facilities | Supporter Profile Started season with £200k, lost all of it, but topped up by £60k prize money at end of season. We were semi pro, but now fully professional following our promotion. The junior coaching and youth facilities have taken a hit, as we have lost our affiliation with Domzale, whom we shared facilities with. But now we're in same league that link's been terminated! However I managed to upgrade youth recruitment up to the max which I'm hoping brings through some talent! Squad/Manager Review Team of the Season | End of Season Manager Profile | Manager of the Year | Player of the Year | Top Goalscorer of the Year | Transfers 1 & 2 Won the league mainly due to the consistency of my front 4 - AML - Klemen Justin, AMC - Leon Sever, AMR - Dino Zenkovic, and striker - Stian Dzumhur. They just clicked and we created too many chances and out of a combined 35 league and cup matches, we only failed to score in 1. As the above, I won manager of the season, Zenkovic won player of the season, and Dzumhur was the top scorer in the league. As you'll see from the transfer page we went a bit mad, but I always do in the lower leagues, half of the players listed there were on amateur contracts. Youth Intake Preview | Intake Day | Squad View |Final Scholars Announced A terrible preview, rubbish intake, and no-one who'll threaten the first team so I won't waste your time looking at it. Have upgraded my recruitment and now have a better HOYD so I expect better in the years to come! Next Season Have signed 1 or 2, but my wage budget has only went from £3k per week to £6k per week, and every new signing wants 500-800 a week, so it's going to be hard to recruit decent calibre, I've again abused the loan market and I feel I've got enough to meet the objective of avoiding relegation! 5. @Rainbowzlike the signings, great right back in Esteves, and the forwards Scarlett and Kluivert will get you plenty goals
  6. @Gonner loved that update, especially the look back at the class of 25. Your intake looks good with the 2 wingers especially. Great progress dude. @Annersconnor sneddon ooft!! Glad you got the sell on clause sorted for him, he'll be a champions league calibre centre half in a few years. Hope you keep us posted on his progress!
  7. Well done @Rainbowz Outtara looks great - any chance of getting him back? Your finances are unfortunate given how much below your wage budget you are? Or had your prize money not come through yet?
  8. Thanks @JLAB, i couldn't see it in the ? bit at the top, but i seen it in manager profile bit and i unticked "teach me about key management concepts" loved your motor lublin youtube series by the way!
  9. folks help me out, ive googled it to no avail HOW THE HELL DO I TURN THE INDUCTIONS OFF!! EVERY SAVE IM GETTING BOMBARDED WITH THEM, HELP!!
  10. @Daddy sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, I take it you were full time at start of your job then they've lost tons of cash now you're semi-pro? This happened to me in Belgium last year, SI need to look at the finances, even when you're under budget its still a disaster in some countries! @Annersgreat achievement - being Scottish I've thought abouthis challenge in Scotland but the idea of doing the bottom 3 leagues part time puts me off! Amazing to get out the championship part time, well done! @DrJonesgreat season and the keeper looks immense! @carlowsaint19aw it'll be sore to lose Ali, he's insane and destined for superstardom!
  11. I just had 3 meetings with the board in like a week! I've been getting hammered in Polish top league, played 12, won 1, drawn 1, lost 10! They first met with me to ask me to drop the GK! I've never had this before have any of you? I'm getting fed up with the save and getting beat so I thought I'd play hardball, I told them I would not drop him and it's my decision, hoping to be fired, but they accepted this and let me carry on.... Then about 2 days later I gave an interview saying I was happy with the forward thinking club and dialogue with the board etc, they then wanted a meeting about me saying this as they didnt want this in the public doman, again i've never had this before in thousands of hours of fm!! I again was kinda cheeky and defiant in the meeting, but they again kept me in post!! Then a few days later after my latest defeat, another meeting to discuss my performance, i again was a bit of a twit in the meeting and said you wont find someone as good as me, so u cant fire me, they agreed, and have for a third time in a week, kept me in! I'm kinda determined to go on with the save just for the laughs and to see how long i can avoid the sack, but its a lost cause, totally out our depth
  12. yeh im seeing that too - every game when i do my team talk they are just negative "unsure" "hesitant" etc, dunno if i've got the stomach for this. God bless u guys who manage this every year ive never lasted more than a few seasons, it's so difficult
  13. Well my first season in Polish top flight is going as expected, dropping like a stone. The "attempt to avoid relegation" comment means I still could keep my job even if we go down doesn't it? Or is that "battle bravely". Cos I can't see us hitting double digits for points we are so inadequate for this! Thinking of just tanking the season but playing some kids to try get them ready for next year in the lower league
  14. @DazRTaylorthats great winning the DFB pokal despite struggles in the league, should hopefully boost the reputation a bit for getting into Europe, may make you more attractive to new signings.
  15. well done @thomas_e some outstanding players there - completion within a few seasons hopefully!!
  16. I'm not the only one having these ridiculous scorelines am i? this is halftime in my first game of the season, it's a bit of a joke....
  17. @NewgennI share your frustrations, board objectives that completely contradict each other too I've had in saves. "Develop players using youth system" coupled with "sign high reputation players" - which is it !! THey need to sort that stuff.
  18. Season 1 2024/25 Restarted this again following horror shows in Norway and Croatia this year. Club vision at start of the season. A great first season, were in the play offs all season, a late run saw us take 3rd position, which meant home advantage for the semi final and final should we get there...we did, and we won promotion! Crazy amount of goals scored and conceded. Fixtures 1 & 2. A fairly good show of my season - will score plenty but concede plenty! Final league table. End of season facilities - really struggling to get them to agree to anything despite me having A+ approval rating, the poor finances are probably to blame for this! Can't explain the finances, I was way under wage budget all season, and still losing tons of cash. The Polish top league gives about £800k television revenue so hopefully this will help tide us over. Transfers. End of season attributes Youth Intake Dreadful preview, in keeping with our poor facilities and limited recruitment, and the intake was pretty uninspiring to say the least, with 0 elite talents. More than half the intake has negative personalities.... Next season I'm certain we're going down, we've lost 3 of our best players, and having nothing in youth team who can help. If we survive this season (and the one after that and the one after that!) It'll be the best thing I've ever done in FM. Squad preview says weakest squad in the league. Bookies have us "slight outsiders!" . Even the board aren't spending the money on a bigger stadium to comply with regulations, as i think they feel we're going down! My best player is away on a free after scoring all my goals, and losing my centre half who got into double digits with near post corner headers, and a talented young left back leaving me too. Squad is bare bones, and i can't see a positive out of this! Anyways at least I got promoted that's something!
  19. Great season, like the look of the new striker, and the new centre half looks a great prospect too!
  20. Thank you, i’ll need to pay a but more attention to it as it drove me nuts!
  21. I'm just going to sound like a whiney bad loser, but is anyone else having a nightmare with injuries? THis is 2nd save attempt in a row, I had my croatian save which i started amazingly, top of the league before the winter break, and came back to a first teamer being out for 2 months every game, despite resting them etc etc. I've got physios and all that! Now im in Poland, same thing, i started amazingly, top of the league at the split, but like Croatia, save is being completely destroyed by losing usually my inform player for 2 months every few games, injuries have been a joke Plus the common thing both saves have in common is I am WAY UNDER wage budget, but have lost best part of a million pounds in a year and I'm guessing unless I win promotion, i'm going part time, and the save is being **** canned for another year! can u tell im in a good mood
  22. keeps happening to me too dude Only thing thats worked has been telling them I'm going to use the young players and develop them, but then u actually need to make sure u do it!
