and what about the types of forwards? Who plays there for you?

@Spikester: What about the forwards? Are they scoring enough? Maybe I change the system after my actual season and I want to try the 4-1-2-1-2 but if only the AMC is scoring much, it's low because I love to have really good forwards but if they don't have any effect in the system, they're useless (and expensive)

i found if you use thes settings for 1 of the 2 strikers in the 41212 formation he bangs the goals in

Interesting. Can anyone confirm this? Especially by not affecting the AMC too much?

The only thing Hough asked his Ass man for was the teamtalks.
For every tactic he made he said explicit don't use OI.

OP is the "Opening Post" and it's the first post on the first page of this thread.
And the JP(Hough Tactic he used is 4-1-2-3 I guess. It's in wizard mode.

While playing the game against Bayern which I reported, the JP/Hough 4-1-2-3 can really kicked out over the wings.
Especially this is fact when the opponent uses worldclass (REALLY worldclass) wingers like Robben and Ribery. They kicked the sh** out of me.^^
Edit: What's the best teamtalk-guide? Read one from Bubbabaytuna. Are there others?

Actually playing with Brescia against Bayern, but have to report whats happening by now. Played 10 minutes (JP/Hough tweaked with middle pressing like the last ten games and more, beat Sampdoria 6-1 last game) and conceded 4 goals o.O

I've to say I only played one game for fun (reported above) with the new tactic and the team didn't get really used to it in this short time, but after that I switched back to the JP/Hough Version of the old tactic and won 4-1 (did load the game against Villareal again).
I also tried the goalstorm from "vu duc tu" and I lost with it 2-3 against Villareal.
May I will try to make an own tactic out of it (have no experience yet) for fun.

Tested it one game with Brescia against Villareal (CL) for fun to see if it works.
After 45 minutes I shot one good played goal (Vela) and a lucky one (Caracciolo) with a header over the outcoming keeper.
Conceded one which was unlucky more or less.
For the next 45 minutes I try the Poacher-Tweak earlier this thread. Reporting in after.
Edit: Conceded the 2-2, got no real chances at all in the second half. The "tweak" didn't work really... mhh don't know yet but in the 1st half it looked quite good.
My actual squad:
Storari
-
Licht
Djourou
Rivas
Toprak
-
De la red
-
Tiago
Di Tacchio (Jenas)
-
Ekdal
-
Vela (Rennella)
Caracciolo (Cristaldo)

yeah, this will be outstanding! I love playing with fast forwards like Vela and so on.
What I've noticed: Pace was always important for (in the end) every player in the squad. Especially the forwards do need acceleration, too for speeding into the gaps. Or am I wrong? Acceleration isn't mentioned anywhere but whats a flairy player if he can't get into the gap as quick as possible?
That's something what I wondered about.
Btw: Played against Bordeaux during the CLQ (away with Brescia) couple of minutes ago. Switching around between unbeaten (home) and Hough/JP-tweaked (away) and gave them a present with a 4-1.
After four away-goals I think I'll play CL this year.^^

I think technical quick strikers are best because you get alot of one on ones.
So you would say it's less important having forwards who're getting crosses in?
=> No need for a headskilled player but more pacey, dribbling and technical ones?

Should be an 4-1-2-1-2 I think...

And don't worry about the England game.
The Germans are gone under yesterday against Serbia I think, but without blaming the referee all in all I think his breastbag itched him a lot so he gave the yellow cards to almost everyone except the spectators.
Nobody wanted to hear that they've beaten only Australia before.
But at least I have to mention that no team plays nearly as much crap as France.
And to say something about the tweak... all in all I have got good results with Brescia in a few games. I won the italian cup against Roma after a 3-0 lead, which they equalized and got in front to a 3-4 in the extra time. Then I equalized, too and won by shoot-out.
After that game I lost shortly against Inter and won against Fiorentina (2nd) 3-2 after a 0-2 deficit. In that game I had closing down for every player at the middle. After the halftime (0-2) I did the closing down +2 and shot them out of the stadium.

Reporting in after using the tweak first time. I changed all players' closing down to the middle (not to the right) and played two games with brescia against Palermo and Udinese and won both with 2-0. Additionally I won with the Ivory Coast against Mauretania 5-0.
So far so good!

Oh err my fault.^^
My English knowledge left me while reading the player instructions.
I thought that tackling is closing down and "pressing" means pressing. Therefore I have to say that I'm using a German language patch build by the German community.
Now I've changed it to English for better understanding while tweaking the tactic and I saw, that closing down is "pressing" and "tackling" is tackling.
So tackling is in the middle for everyone in the original tactic. And what confused me was, that JP (I think) wrote that closing down is set to the middle like the defensive line, but the defensive line has different closing down settings originally e.g. the CBs have closing down two notches left from the middle and the FBs have two nothes right.
Edit: As I tried the changing I got that I can only change the controller fully right left or middle for tackling. Stupid me.^^
But now I try to understand your last post correctly and change the tactic as you said.

Have a little problem actually, tried to find all posts in which the tweaks were declared.
What do I have to change exactly?
In the original JP/Woody, closing down is set to the middle for every player but I've in mind that someone posted at first that I have to set closing down to the middle and after that you changed it to set it two notches up from the middle (to the right).
How should the pressing and closing down look for every player? I'm a little confused. could somebody sum this up for me?
Thanks.

Every tactic you can get on download here is listed in the opening post.
You only have to open your eyes. All links are working right now. I've tested it...
And for the tweaks he did to the tactic you only need to read some posts above...

It's so curious^^
After I lost against Florentina 2-1 my team was kidnapped by a invisible supernatural force and won 5-1 against Parma.
I only changed from the 10.3 final to the Hough/JP version in hope that they concede less and did the corner trick in it.
But important is, that they did 4 of the 5 goals without corners!
Hope they will go on with this.

I ascended with Brescia to the Seria A. At first the team played really good, won 8 of 10 or something, became 2nd with 2 or 3 losses after about the whole half-series.
Then I lost a game against Lecce with 4-1, then against Inter with 4-2 and now I'm loosing against Florenz with a 3 or 4 goals defeat... the motivation of my team is lower than Atlantis lies in the ocean.
Since one of my two very good loan CMs is injured, nothing goes on despite my backups aren't bad.
Within a week, where no game was to play, I've done a friendly against "Alessandria", a Seria C team or somethin and won 2-0... WOHOO o.O
Before I won games with 4-0 5-1 6-1 and so on, defeated Juve.
Now everytime any "good" player is in the team of the opposite team, I concede dozens of goals.
My Team is (2010/2011):
GK - Marco Storari
CB - Nelson Rivas - Hugo Mareco
FB - Lucas Licht - Ömer Toprak
DM - Adam Vass
CM - Francesco di Tacchio - Albin Ekdal
F - Rennella - Caracciolo - Taarabt
That's the 1st squad

Well you could try learn them another position (most likely to forwards) so you can use them as wide strikers, but it needs a bit of time, mainly if they can't play forwards at all.
Have done this with several players like Nani and it worked good as he had the right attributes (but for the wide strikers most of the really good wingers do have)
0 -
btw the two wide strikers are playing like wingers the most time. It seems a little like watching Barca, the wide going ones can play through the middle or along the wings an do crosses, so even if there aren't "wingers" on the "paper", they are on the pitch

Off topic: I made an application to m'borough a few minutes ago (they had dismissed their coach). There was an option to trade me there at the end of the season.
Can I applicate to another club for the end of the season? I can show my interest on jobs of coaches who are under pressure. Could it happen that they try to employ me and I say to them that I would come to them after the season?
