[No way for my first team to play against each other in a friendly match?]

Hey Zemahh, thanks for your reply! That makes some sense, I guess that's the route to take - but I just miss out on the satisfaction of actually watching my players play against each other. Would be fun to see how my wingers do against my backs for instance...

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes...

I am playing in the CL final and have a 2 week gap between the last game of the season and the big one. To give my players some match experience I wanted to ideally organise a game between all of my first team players mixed with my reserves, played behind closed doors a week before the final.

So initially I thought I could organise a game against my U23 team and make half my squad 'available' to play for the reserve team. However, when I do this, although in the build up my U23 manager pops up with the correct team I'd like to play in my inbox, when I actually go to the match, none of my players are in the team. So I reloaded back and actually looked at the team in the opposition tab of the match preview area, and every player is 'Ine' - ineligible due to 'Already involved in other match today'.

I cannot physically move players down to the U23s temporarily for this one game because they become unhappy / start complaining.

Is this a bug? And does anyone have any tips on how I could achieve this? It's pedantic I know but I'm finding it a little realism breaking.
