  1. Think you were just caught out... 12v0 against a team you were managing too... As we can see in the league table!
  2. Below, I have created a EDT that puts a transfer embargo on all League clubs in England (Prem-League 2) for a period of ten years. Transfer Embargo On All English Leage Clubs
  3. Great job on the kits. Must say I'll use an oldy for old times sake with the new Norwich save I'm about to start! Ps; 7v0.
  4. Now that I am, mostly, back, I have been able to catch up with this, and other things. Good to see the team doing so well!
  5. For tactics, I would suggest something simple and nothing too complex for the players arent going to be all that intelligent or versatile for complex tactics. But what i found was that a short but quick passing game worked for me. Its how I like to play anyway, but the players did seem to be fairly good passers so it worked out well.
  6. Have I missed much in the past week? Anything good happen whilst I was away? Well, I'm back for a moment this christmas eve then gone again as everything gets a little more hectic once again. Merry christmas all anyway!
  7. 27/10/10 : Villacidrese v Spezia (2nd Round Serie C Cup) The start of the match wasn’t too good for Spezia, who saw Villacidrese’s Ravelli score a scremer from eighteen yards on the 7th minute. Superior class showed as Villacidrese held on to their one goal lead in a closely contested first half. Half Time Score 1-0 The second half started well for Villacidrese who made several attacks, one coming just short of being a goal as it was swept away off the line. Spezia looked good for moments of the match, hitting just wide on a number of occasions, but throughout they failed to make it count with the Villacidrese defenders showing strength to hold back any on coming attacks. However, one tackle from Cirina was deemed bookable, and he was sent off for his reckless tackle. But, the late sending off wasn’t any hassle to the Villacidrese team who booked their place in the next round with reasonable ease. Villacidrese 1 (Ravelli 7) Spezia 0 27/10/10 Cirina is banned for one match following his red card. 30/10/10 Marcus Capito, Manager of Villacidrese received his first set of praise from Campedelli who claimed Capito was achieving “remarkable things.” Capito is reported to be thankful for the comments and attention, once again re-itterating his ambition to create an empire in admiration of himself. -------------------------------------------------------- 31/10/10 : Villacidrese v Bellaria Bellaria got the game underway and the two teams shared an equal... share... of chances and attempts on goal with neither side really being able to gain an upper hand. Much of the play was focused in the centre of the field, however, when Ravelli broke the midfield barrier, Villacidrese were able to pry open the defence with a cutting pass to Cotza, who knocked it on to the goalscorer, Paratela. The first goal was shortly followed when Bellaria full back pushed Ravelli down on the inside of the area. Getting to his feet, the penalty was awarded and Ravelli opted to take it. Hitting it hard and down the centre, the Bellaria goalkeeper had no chance to save it. Half Time Score 2-0 Within thirty seconds of kicking off, Villacidrese had strung together just four passes of the ball before a goal was scored. This time it was Ravelli on the end of a lovely through ball from Cotza. The angle was tight, but a precise but thunderous drive saw the ball fly in to the back of the net. The 70th minute saw the next best chance of the game when Bellaria player Tabanelli was brought down in the area. But, the referee didn’t award the penalty, to which, replays proved to be inconclusive, typically. Moments later, though, Tabanelli was gifted a ball inside the area where he was able to smash the ball low and in to the net. The game wasn’t over yet, and Bellaria were looking to get right back in it with a second. And that they did, again, Tabanelli scored with just 9 minutes left to play. Villacidrese had let a three goal lead slip, and were now looking as though they might slip up and lose two points today. Thankfully, for Marcus The Great, they held on. Villacidrese 3 (Parentela 39, Ravelli (p)43, 46) Bellaria 2 (Tabanelli 72, 81) The victory not only moved them up the table slightly, within one point of the playoff places, but marked their tenth match unbeaten. 2/11/10 Ravelli was name in the team of the week. Cordeddu resumed full training after suffering a fractured arm four weeks ago. His arrival back gives Marcus a well needed extra player for his midfield of which has become very weak in terms of numbers recently. Thirty year old corallo also resumed full training after three weeks out following a twisted knee. 3/11/10 The Serie C Cup Third Round Groups were announced today. Just twelve teams remain and just four spots are up for grabs in the semi finals. Villacidrese were drawn against Serie C 1/B club Andria and Serie C 1/A club Pavia. The former currently holds 13th place in the league whilst the latter sits in 16th. The group draw is promising for Marcus’ side, should they play to their best.
  8. It's christmas time and well, I'm going home some time this weekend and I'm not sure how much I will be showing my face here since I'll be pretty busy. But this will be updated when I can get to doing it and believe me, there is a long way to go yet. 27/10/10 : Villacidrese v Spezia (2nd Round Serie C Cup) The start of the match wasn’t too good for Spezia, who saw Villacidrese’s Ravelli score a scremer from eighteen yards on the 7th minute. Perhaps a statue would be built of him one day. He hoped at least.
  9. I hate the new rule, to be honest. But this story looks like it could be a cracker - interested to see how it all turrns out.
  10. Having tried and failed once already, quitting before I had even really tried, I am back. This time with a slightly more local club of Lowestoft - high reputation already I know, but I don't care. Time to complete this challenge for once.
  11. Try "verify integrity of game cache" in the properties/local files in Steam for FM. It might help out
  12. Yes. That is how you stop the automatic downloads, but I suppose not everyone knows about as its hidden away.
  13. It's funny the patch - because Steam hasnt donwloaded it and updated my FM yet. I'm not bothered to be honest as I've not got any real problems as it is anyway. I'll just get my steam to download it later by telling it to check for updates anyway. On a christmas note, a fun little fact you may not have known. Rudolf is female. Only female reindeer have antlers in the winter.
  14. Welcome to FMS. Great start, too. Very interesting and I'll be following along.
  15. 24/10/10 : Villacidrese v Sangiovannese A very long break between games (14 days) has left the players fit, but not exactly match fit. The opposition are expected to be beaten by the fans, and fairly easily too. For the opposition, their manager face a lot of pressure, with this game considered a deciding factor on his fate at the club. With very little happening in the opening twenty minutes, it was looking as though Villacidrese weren’t going to break the deadlock anytime soon. A couple fluid attacking movements opened the opposition defence, but nothing that saw Villacidrese go a goal up. Half Time Score 0-0 With Villacidrese’s right back holding a slight knock at half time, he was substituted to ensure no further injuries to the squad. The match got off better for the away side, who managed to secure a goal in the 55th minute when Merini was allowed to practically walk through the Villacidrese defence. But, ten minutes later the usual suspect for Villacidrese scored a typically well placed shot. The 80th minute ticked over and it looked like another bore draw for Villacidrese. But, the 88th minute saw Lagana play a square ball to Cotza. Looking up, Parentela stood waiting between the number 4 and 5 of Sangiovannese. Making a turn on the number 4, Parentela was one on one with the goalkeeper. Usually, these situations were simple for goalscoring machine and this time, it was no different. Villacidrese 2 (Parentela 68, 88) Sangiovannese 1 (Merini 55) The victory didn’t do much for the clubs mid table position, but it was hopefully a start to more wins to come. 25/10/10 Bregliano resumed full training after being out for three weeks due to a damaged foot. 26/10/10 Parentela was name in the team of the week.
