  1. For me, honestly it was simple

Finally getting a laptop to replace my ancient ASUS am being able to play with all the graphical add ons (kits, logos etc) an not taking 5 days to process or load up a player profile.

made such a difference to me. With work an kids I get little time to play these days but now I’m flying through my long term save an the game looks beautiful. Finally using the 3D match engine as it was designed to be used etc.

in terms of save memories. I came to fm20 late this year so only on my one an only save with aldershot. Back to back promotions from national league to league 1 an looking like another promotion from there at first time of asking. Knocking Sheffield Utd out of the FA CUP while I was League 2 was pretty sweet an brought in money.

Seeing a mate an lad I used to manage at amateur level make it into the game was pretty good too! Especially as he’s doing well with Luton in real life.

First one is Touch version only for only EU, second is normal game for EU and UK - both are digital. Third is hard copy.

Although now I’ve checked again it lists them as it does for you so the site must have glitched lol.

however what’s the difference between the fm eu-uk an simply fm21 version. Why the price difference. (Maybe includes fm touch?)

It literally says EU-UK on the website

That wasn’t the point we were discussing really. More the fact that shopto has 3 listings. One stating EU in the title, one stating eu-uk an the other simply stating nothing. Each listing dramatically different prices too. Was just wondering why an what’s the difference between the eu-uk one an the simple fm21 one with no mention of uk or eu etc

  4. It is very confusing. Id assume eu-uk would be ok over the obvious eu titled version. Just that full price, simply named fm21 listing that worries me. Everyone ordering seems happy so far.

in fairness I never usually purchase fm straight away as I absolutely hated it a few fm’s ago when the match engine kept getting tweaked. I personally only tend to play 1 or 2 long term saves per fm an Everytime I got a tactic working well it get flipped on its head ruining my save until I could wrk something else out. Frustrating. But may get this one at release this time.

This is what is putting me off buying from there

I have seen FM Scout & Sortitousti at £31.99, they're definitely English, neither are on the approved list.

Agree. Bit of a worry. On shopto they have a EU version, a Eu-UK an then just plain fm21. All with drastically different prices but not a lot inside the ads to explain the differences.

intrgued if anyone else has any theories. End of the day I just want the best price as money is tight lol

  6. I’ve not had it often but sometimes a player will agree on principle with me but then another team comes in an his agent returns an says “my client has this offer on the table but is still keen to discuss with you blah blah blah” an you can see what he now wants. That isn’t to say it really is what the other clubs offered.

just adds realism to how crafty annoying agents work. If you could see what every single other club was offering for players it be unrealistic an a bit silly.

  7. I’ve managed fiorentina previously but cannot remember. It should say as the others have stated. I generally click the league, then the rules tab for clarification as well.

“Clubs can only register four loans in total in one season and cannot sign more than one player from the same club on loan at any one time. There are no restrictions on numbers of players that can leave clubs on loan”. (Via google)

  8. Haven’t checked this thread in a little bit but had this https://www.box.co.uk/1S0W8EAABU-HP-Pavilion-Gaming-17-cd1015na_2958262.html nearly a month now an runs Fm20 like a dream an with all the graphical additions (logo, faces, stadium packs etc) it looks absolutely beautiful.

id forgotten what it was like to play fm on a machine that processes instantly an doesn’t take 5 mins to load a player up, let alone process a day 😂

    highly recommend.

This would make sense if these criteria weren't already met at the player's current club. But a player who is already on super high wages, loves the manager, loves the club (which is far and away the biggest club in the world) can get vocal if he doesn't get to leave, for the reason that he wants to join a bigger club. It's just dumb and no one can convince me the game isn't bugged when it comes to this.

Ok sorry for giving an explanation. Just how it works. Even at perceived big clubs. If the other clubs rep is bigger it just happens. Also so many other factors. Some players just fancy a change. Especially if already achieved or been at club a while

  10. Generally that’s just life. If a player even gets a sniff from his agent that <insert generic team name here> A ‘big’ club is interested, they’ll want to leave. Wouldn’t you? If you were at a club you may like, achieved success with etc, but have absolutely no deep lying love for (an maybe still even if you do) if a big club comes sniffing you’re head would get turned by the stature of the club an the money you could make. If you worked in an office for 1.5k a month but then a London Tesco came enquiring Offering you 5k a month to do the same thing in a better, air conditioned, fancy store you’d jump at the chance or atleast think about it.

Look at ncfc in real life. Relegated from the prem with a sea of youthful talent. Everyone one of them had links away an a handful managed to get their moves back to the prem with Jamal Lewis to Newcastle an Ben Godfrey for Everton. max Aaron’s was genuinely linked with Barcelona an Bayern Munich, if that doesn’t turn your head I dunno what would. Local lad Todd Cantwell well an truly got His head turned by Leeds to the point that Daniel Farke said he couldn’t pick him for the team as he wasn’t focused.

my advice that usually works for me on fm. Private chat, tell them you’ll only let them go if a team offers ‘x’ amount. Find some middle ground on the amount an then sit back and pray nobody offers it. Quite often though once I get to that point I don’t care if someone does offer as it’ll usually be a crazy price that I’m happy with. Just how it goes until your clubs rep reaches ridiculous levels an despite winning multiple comps Etc that can still take a huge amount of time to increase that rep.

  11. Wouldn’t expect it anytime soon. If they’ve not branched out to official amateur lower leagues (yes I know people make their own add ons) yet like lower down the English pyramid etc then I doubt they’ll focus or have the demand to focus on the gals game. It has similar Followings or levels of interest To that of the lower reaches of the football pyramid (although it’s still more popular than the women’s game). I just don’t see SI Devoting the time required for it. Wouldn’t make sense too unless the demand called for it. I get a lot of companies are focusing on aspects like this because it’s seen as the cool and hip thing to do at the minute an will win them a few brownie points but realistically it’s just not at the level yet where enough people would want it.

in fairness SI have don’t well implementing female managers into saves in quite realistic fashion imo. On my save I’ve gradually seen female managers getting jobs in league 2 & 1. That certainly wouldn’t have been anywhere near happening 10 years ago etc. Things take time.

I've never even heard of this...

Forogt to check like I said. This is similar to what I mentioned on my current save. Basically on image one it talks of a wage cap based on turnover...yet in image too it shows my wage budget being high than what is allowed. Basically I can massively spend on wages only to fall foul of ffp. Why not just make my budget maxed out at ffp limit

Thanks for the info, never did like epic but it was free and the first time i hadnt bought the fm game ever.
Pre game editor is a huge loss if there isnt one with 21 i wont be buying it either.

This was the first fm I hadn’t been able to justify buying as cash needed elsewhere but was pleased to try it free (an still am) thanks to epic. Game is fine. Editor would’ve been nice. Just the epic launcher etc is a pile of poo. Lol. Steam far better. I’ll never whinge about steam again

First time i have got the game away from steam and i am so confused i cannot for the life of me find the pre game editor, tried to use the in game editor but it sucks and stops working when the season starts and never works again.

Is there a pre game editor for this version

Sadly isn’t one at this time. I fell foul of this. For all the issues I’ve had with epic I will not be using them again.

Neither had I!!! Lol. Now I pay super close attention to it. It’s mad as for smaller clubs getting unexpected promotions to cash rich leagues the board often given you flush wage budgets. Only issue is you fail ffp. I’ll have to check next time I play for the official blurb that explains it better than me.

  16. This feature always bugs me.

Don’t get me wrong. I want it in the game for realism. However I wish the board would control it better. It’s really not my fault if we fail FFP if they set the budgets an ultimately agree to transfer fees an wages etc.

I always focus heavily on keeping within FFP but sometimes however hard I try it goes wrong. FM18 first big club I got appointed at way down the line gave me a transfer budget of 90m. I spent 50% of it an failed FFP. Fair enough I learnt my lesson as I also needed to shift players to meet FFP. FM19 lessons learnt, however I fail on wages which I felt unfair. My small club with low finances get promoted to the big time an gain the money that comes with it, board sets the structure an i of course use it. Then I find out your wage bill can only be a certain % higher than previous years. Well ffs! The board should’ve sorted that.
