I think 50% is extremely optimisic! Given even under Rossetta the performance is comparable
Yeah it is, but even a 25-30% increase in performance would be welcome.
it'll be interesting to see, as the improvements to optimising other X86 apps have been quite impressive.

Honestly I'd be poorly inclined to buy Intel anything right now, the power consumption/heat vs performance is just much worse than AMD and especially the new Apple ARM, shows how far behind Intel are.
It'll be interesting to see how Intel evolves, they need to up their game, maybe even look at moving away from X86
It would be amazing to see SI optimise FM for the ARM (M1 chipsets) seeing good speeds on the laptops, but optimising it for ARM would have to be around an 50% speed increase bypassing rosetta 2
hopefully we will see 2022 optimised verison

Was it a air or pro you ordered? And would it be ok if you keep this thread updated with how it is?
I ordered an Air with 16 gb Ram, i was a little late ordering it, so there is a bit over 2 weeks until delivery.
I don't plan on running FM21 on it, thats why i went the Air over the Pro, as i'm using my current Pro
I would like to replace my current MacBook pro with active cooling when the new model is released, i'm guessing in March, just waiting to see how the compatibility goes with other programs.
The M1 chip is showing some serious speed, it'll be interesting to see what they have in store for the larger Macook pro

Well i ended up ordering a M1 Apple Silicon Spec Macbook this morning, hopefully we will see some support from SI for FM2022 for M1 Silicon
I've kept my Intel based Macbook Pro for FM21, as i know these things take time.

Hey Guys,
Is SI looking at supporting ARM processors now that Apple is changing from X86 Intel processors to ARM.
I enjoy playing FM, i've been playing it since Championship Manager 93, but i don't ever want to go back to a Windows based platform ever....

It's a known issue, but you should be able to activate the product on Steam using the Steam key.
If Steam is already installed and running, just try running the installer again.
It only a known issue, if you go to install it after buying the disc... then find out it doesn't install and do a web search....
surely you guys should have tested this before releasing the disc....
I only bumped it, so it when to the top, so mac users can read it and download from stream.
Im liking the improvements in the game this year

anymore mac users having this issue?

I should point out, that with a mac and having the dock at the bottom of the screen, it hides the "Add Game" icon on stream.
For those with Mac's, you may have to move your window to see the icon, so you can activate the game.
I spent 30 minutes last night looking for the damm icon, and then realising this, and then realising that i had that issue last year
hopefully this helps out Mac users

I tried last night to install it on my wife macbook pro, had issues with the disc install, like you are describing.
This is an issue, as you click agree and nothing happens... this needs to be fixed somehow
Not everyone has access to fast broadband to download a 2.8gb file, activating a stream code is fine, but if you have a DVD copy you should be able to install from that.
Ended up just adding game via stream and downloading it, but i have access to fast broadband, so it wasn't an issue for me.

Is FM being hold back by low specs?

I'd like to see the game make more uses of more cores/threads, implement direct X 12, most computers from the last 6 years have more than 2/4 cores.
It's backwards compatible, so the lower spec users can still play, it is frustrating when you get bogged down with a decent amount of leagues, yet you still have cores that aren't being used.
