I'm unsure if these should be under bugs or if they are working as expected, so I'm sorry If they are in the wrong sub-topic.
I use the full tactic popout for every team selection and also in-game for substitutions or changes, I have to click the Tactics button each time to extend it, the view is never remembered, is this correct behaviour?
The last column on the tactic screen is wide and unable to be seen unless resized each time I use the tactic page.
It's been this way for me at least in the last 3 versions of the game.

Can you set positional instructions to on automatically to save from having to click it each game, for each player?

The schedule here I don't feel would happen in a top 5 league, I'm happy to stand corrected but it feels a lot like the leagues outside of Europe are a secondary thought to SI.

This was my FM23 long-term save, due to this run of form and a loss in the final of the Copa Libertadores I had to walk away from it.I'd go back if I could work out what the issue is....any suggestions are welcomed!0

When playing two legged finals the team talk options are for standard one legged finals

Secondly don't underlap at the left because it increases the mentality of the FB and decreases the mentality of the IF and it will take away a bit from the IF and I don't think you want that. If you really want to underlap there then change him to attack and change the FB to support.
Finally keep an eye on "stay on feet", If you see that your players are not tackling then take it off

THe right FB's stats aren't attacking at all so I've stuck to defend for now.

Given that you want a style of play that encompasses the things you say, I think you may be better off trying the gegenpress preset, and tinkering with that?
This combines elements of high tempo, short passing and can involve wing play.
In your tactic i think theres a few things that contradict
1) You want wing play and overlaps, but youve set your wide players into inverted roles and then put the defenders on defensive roles. So they wont want to get forward to make your overlaps, theyre just going to sit back and defend.
2) Why would you be telling your players to regroup, when you are also telling them to defend high up the pitch? high defensive line and high line of engagement is usually associated with an aggressive pressing strategy, not regrouping
3) You are using an advanced forward and looking for counter attacks, but you want your players to play much shorter passes. This doesnt make sense to me, youd either want the much shorter passes for a patient, precise buildup, or direct high tempo passes to go back to front quickly. The high lines you have suggest you are looking more into the short passing patient approach?
4) Your advanced forward looks massively isolated
5) your two central midfielders and two wide players are all trying to occupy the same small area of pitch. I would imagine teams go very narrow against you and stifle your creativity.
Im by no means good at tactics, but it does seem there are quite a few issues in this tactic
Thanks for the obvervations, I think I went through a terrible patch of games and the tactic had become a mess.

What style of football do you want to play or to put it simply, how do you want to score?
I've usually played the below with some great results over the last 3 years
- short passing
- High tempo
- Wing play
- Overlaps
After a decent start in the first season I've tried 4 or 5 different tactics and types of play with some quite obviously terrible results.
This team is very young but I'd expect better.

Hi all,
Possiblly a strange one, I've used the up and down arrows on my keyboard to navigate through emails in the inbox.
I've found this temperamental this year.
For instance: Once continue is hit and processing finishes, hitting the up or down arrows navigate through the sidebar menu.
Hitting space to move to the next message works but not the up and down arrows to navigate through them following this, I am wondering if it’s just a behaviour I have or possibly by design?

Has anyone had the rules on Non-EU signings ease over time?
Currently set as two Non-Eu players signed a year.

What's actually happening here is the player is developing too well.
I know that sounds screwy but I'll explain. Technically speaking there is only a limited amount a player can develop each month (otherwise we'd see 16 year olds as good as Messi) however that limit is only checked after a certain period. So during that period a player could actually develop more than allowed as the check won't happen until the end of that period. When that happens, the game rebalances that high amount of growth by reducing attributes - but it reduces attributes across the board, rather than just targeting a few. That way attributes are only reduced by 0.1 or 0.2, rather than large reductions of 3 or 4 whole points you'd see if only a few were targeted. Hence you see lots and lots of orange down arrows. (orange diagonal arrows are minor changes, red down arrows are larger changes).
What's more important is the long term growth which you can check by using the line graphs on a player's development page. Overall they should show a general upward trend even if you see these temporary minor reductions.
This makes a lot of sense, thank you for the great explanation @herne79

In general nice work,
Not sure about the music, very FIFA.
Issues so far are mainly around the UI, it's really not user friendly and slows gameplay down in areas.
Below is a case in point, the in game tactic screen compared to the full tactics screen, this is now an extra click away, after the work that's gone into the main tactics screen for this year it doesn't make much sense to use this basic menu.
If anyone knows of a way to switch this around for good do let me know.

Small thing but I've found myself brushing passed the number of offers button a few times, this then fades the rest of the screen, an unwanted transition that slows screen flow down.
That's just my input, but thanks for the hard work SI.

Asking for the ability to drag this box down so all attributes can be seen with out a need for scrolling.
