Errors should happen. Football matches are strewn with errors

Firstly, not every keeper will be able to and should be able to react like that, especially after making a save. That kind of reaction separates the DDG and Ter Stegens of the world from the rest

Secondly: which covering defender? The closest one is no position other than foul him from behind (pen). The other two would be getting in the keepers way.

Of course errors should happen, own goals, wrong back pass, a pass that sold the keeper short... I was wrong in using the word 'error'. It should be an AI error.

But that goal happened with the GK totally rooted despite

    1) there not being a single team mate that the attacker could have crossed the ball to

    2) the GK having the entire view in front of him, knowing that there was no other opposing players in the box (hence perhaps the long shot)

    3) the goalmouth on his left was gaping even though almost all GKs will know to cover their near post (he did not even dive)

You can't seriously tell me that only Allison and Ter Stegen would have know to cover that spot? In fact, all professional keepers should know that his near post must always be guarded, more so when there were no opposing players to cover. At the very least, he could have dived. But he was totally rooted.

Well unless you are telling me that the guy who posted the video was playing a conference team. This is something I would like to know.

Just had a nice tight angle goal from my poacher.

Nice goal. Unfortunately I see a couple of errors. The goalkeeper's reaction towards the second ball was shocking and unreal (seems like nothing has changed for this). A professional goalkeeper would have dived to cover his left post.  Secondly (and a more forgivable error), the covering defender was not even making a tackle to prevent the shot.

Those screenshots haven't been taken from someplace on the internet. I booted up those games and took them myself. So yes, I can compare and you can compare as well because we have a pair of eyes.

" If you like it better then play that. And then don't buy FM 20. " This is not an argument or a counter argument to any statement. I already bought the game, as I am an FM enthusiast. However, me buying or not buying the game doesn't affect the pitch quality, is it now ? People have to stop with this mentality of " if you don't like it, don't buy it " because thats the exact opposite way to how progress and true growth are achieved.

This line pops up here very often. From FM die hards and even some of the mods. Very defensive and unhealthy.

  4. I have read a lot of the feedback so far. To me, I am giving the feedback a pinch of sale as the beta is available to those who have bought the game, which means these are mostly the die-hard fans.

And I also notice that the positive feedback are usually from those who buy the game year after year because they like how many hours they can put into the game (even if it has flaws). They don't really care or even notice the glaring flaws in the match engine or players' AI. They are more bought over by the new features.

I watched the unveil video a week ago, as well as videos from those who are playing the beta version, and kept a keen eye out on the player movement, AI and such (so that it mirrors real life as much as possible), and to me, there still reamins a lot of work on the ME and AI. In fact, I think the ME needs a huge overhaul.

May be I am old and jaded from playing so many versions of the game. I feel that as I get to appreciate the finer points of football (tactics, movement, pressing, counter pressing, setting traps, passing lanes...) I realise how many flaws there are in FM, and that just turns me off as I can no longer afford to spend so much time on a game so flawed as this. And one that prides itself on actual football manager simulation.

I think the management aspect of the game is trucking along well especially with player pathway and club vision, just not the football ME, which to me makes or break the game. I understand that it is perhaps the most difficult part of the game to get right. Unfortunately it is to me the most important as well.

For a start, I would like to see:

    - improved goalkeepers' reactions to second and rebounded balls

    - more one on ones

    - keepers charging out of their line and playing a high line like i want them to (and these keepers have high rushing out stats)

    - players tussling for balls

    - more accurate player movements, reactions and AI

    - more realistic goals

Once the above is sorted to a decent level, we can then talk about raising the tactics to reflect more of the modern game.

I don't know, I think they are very reasonable requests for a game as old as this.

I will give the demo a try and get back.

Looks pretty similar to what happens in my EPL and Europa League games.

Gosh, even in EPL and Europa???

This is no good. In fact, the more I look at it, the more I see unreal stuff. First, the defender who was marking the forward was unrealistically slow to react to the high ball. Second, he did not even put a tackle in or hustle and push the forward to force him out wide. I am no professional player but I would have done that for sure. lol

I personally cannot play the game with such obvious flaws in the ME and players' AI.

Hopefully things change much better real soon.

Quite a lot of my goals are. Example:

there were four defenders on one forward. in a proper game, the other centre defender would have popped over to provide cover for his defender, thus being able to block the shot or put a sliding tackle in. he was just running straight back towards his own goal, without a forward with him. This is not right.

in fact, the more i look at it the more i see 'un-lifelike' things happening. first, the defender who was marking the forward was unrealistically slow to react to the high ball, and second, he did not even put a tackle in or at least try to hustle with the forward.

would like to see if the same happens in the top tier leagues.

I, and many others, have already done this in this thread, in other threads, via PKM's, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Reddit....bloody everywhere because the issues are so blatant.

    - Ping pong cross-field balls are absurd

    - Players refuse to cross

    - 1v1's are pointless

    - Long shots are taken too often and from stupid locations, as well as from absurd techniques like on the turn first time, weak foot first time....etc.

    - Most goals are long shots

    - The main way to score a 1v1 is to hit it long straight down the middle as the centerbacks always push up a few steps higher than the fullbacks, playing the striker onside. Even then, the striker routinely chooses to not advance into the box, and shoots from the edge or outside of the box.

    - Passing is very one-dimensional with it always going out to the winger who doesn't cross, and instead plays it to the edge of the area, it's then passed further along the edge and back and forward until a long shot is taken

    - Players dwell on the ball so goddamn long

    - Through balls into the box are under-tuned

    - Fullbacks punt the ball up-field no matter what your passing style and tempo are

This had the potential to be a great ME if these issues are worked out, but i have no faith judging by how the demo has such awful flaws that are painfully obvious to see for anybody who has functioning eyes. To release it in this state so close to release is not a good sign that this will be fixed, at least not before the new year. It is a pathetic state, and SI should be embarrassed. It really is a shame because there's a lot of clear improvements from last year, but the things i listed above ruin all that in its current state.

I doubt many here will remember, but when FML was a thing there was a period where long shots were as OP as they are in FM20 (probably more so in FML actually) and people played 460 and just smashed long shots in constantly. That's what this feels like, only we don't have the benefit of more regular updates like FML did, so the game may be stuck like this for some time.

Gosh. You mean these issues are still in FM20??? Geez. I reckon the GKs still cannot save rebounded balls, or second shots and there are no one on ones?

That's it. I be giving this a miss.

To me, the match engine is one of the most important aspects of the game, perhaps the most.

Sad, as I am looking forward to hearing good reviews.

Disappointed at the lack of tactical innovations presented in the gameplay video... the components of Chris Wilder's overlapping centre backs strategy don't look like they've made the cut, and it doesn't look like there are any new tactical roles built into the game.

I was hoping to see similar stuff, modern tactics or at the very least, a more sharpened reflection of the existing tactics through the game play. Players need to play (move, defend, attack, press, counterpress...) as close as possible to that of a professional football game and react accordingly to my tactic.

Personally I wasn't impressed at all. It just feels too much like FM19. Not that it's a bad thing, but after hours of playing FM19 it would feel exhausting to play a very similar game and wanted something more refreshing. As for the ME, I don't necessarily feel it's much improved. Probably had very high and unrealistic expectations, but honestly after all these (underwhelming) feature reveals, it was maybe more understandable to expect a lot.

I feel people will quote me a lot saying how FM20's ME is some weeks old and it will see more changes. They've had one year to make those changes. I really doubt they're going to change much in the next 2-3 weeks.

Also. Kind of pathetic how the moderator was deleting people's negative comments about the game in the Twitch chat. I understand there's a limit between criticism and trolling but most of them were not even close to that limit.

Look very similar to FM19, like you I was hoping to see a bigger leap in improvement. Though I guess we cannot take this 'first cut' as final I guess? And maybe it is a championship game so the players' standards are compromised? May be they should show a game that involves liverpool or manchester city. Some first-look observations:

    - GK's reaction is better but still seem very rooted to the line, and I have yet to see any one-on-one (hopefully it is implemented)

    - Wingbacks defend better now, and tuck in to defend alongside their centrebacks as compared to previously when they are always out on the wings

    - Not much improvement, if any, to the tactics panel, player shouts and halftime encouragements are the same

    - Pressing still seems haphazard and players' movement, AI needs improvement

    - Towards the end of the video (2h35mins onwards), there was an instant on the flank when the attacking midfielder did something totally out of touch with real life, and it happens regularly in FM19, and I put it down to poor AI

    - Would love to see players sometimes doing something out of their tactical instructions, like strikers (high workrate and teamwork) chasing back to defend as his team is caught up in a counterattacking situation, or a GK doing a quick kick out to his attacker (who is free) for a fast counterattack despite instructions to kick/throw ball to the flank or my player running out to defend a short corner despite not having instructions to do so

    - Would love to see players standing shoulder to shoulder and arms over each others shoulders when they are in a penalty shootout situation

    - Would love to see more realistic players' benches

As soon as you start going down the line of "I don't do bug reports", then it becomes hard to take a post like this seriously.

Put simply, SI need a very specific set of data to be able to go after an issue.  From what you're saying, it sounds like you've been very involved in discussing issues the game has, and seemingly in detail, but discussions are really not actionable from SI's point of view when it comes to bugs. You say "If the above is not enough for SI to work off from I don't know what it", well I'll tell you that it isn't, and the "what" in this case is specific pkms.  That might seem like overkill, but think of it as handing someone a very intricate machine with a million moving parts, then telling them in very general terms that it's broken.  It's not a great analogy, but then software development can be a very different beast.  Someone can take what you say and go ahead and try and investigate, but they're already starting out with one hand tied behind their back in terms of finding what's wrong, even before they've thought about how to fix it.

If you give them a pkm and a decent bug report, they'll be able to very quickly get to the issue and actually go about fixing it.  That's a massive difference to just sending someone into the code on the say so of often very vague comments.  I work in software development for investment banking - I'm always going to be more happy to work on something if someone comes to me saying that there's an issue with report x on trade y, and here's exact details of what we think is wrong, as opposed to someone saying "pnl is wrong".  One is actionable, one is a massive ballache involving a huge amount more work.

And just for information, I'm also someone who doesn't raise bug reports.  Not through some haughty insistence that it isn't my job (not that you're saying that, but others have), but because I deal all day with this kind of thing at work, and to be honest I can't be arsed doing it in my spare time too.  But given that view, I can't really criticise SI when I'm not willing to give them the tools they need to do their job.

Fair enough. I get where you are coming from. To be honest though, I always think that my eye for bugs is very poor, and I have ventured into the bugs reporting post before and wanted to post. Then I realise that the stuff that I have pointed out (players running in a straight line after an opposition, wingbacks never tuck in, GKs having zero reaction to second balls) are glaringly obvious and have been repeated ad nauseam by many others (which I have also pointed out in my previous posts). Hence I don't see the need to go and report it again for fear of spamming.

  11. I tell you what. I will make it easier for you guys. These are the 'new feature requests' you want me to state, and i will repeat myself again, and this time, with more details.

    - Improve GK AI:

    a) GKs coming off the line to clear a loose ball (esp if i play a high line and GK Sweeper)

    b) More GKs one on one with strikers (virtually non-existent now)

    c) Better GK's reactions to second balls, balls off the goal frame (right now they are just rooted and have zero reaction to second balls)

    - Improve players' AI:

    a) players' movement is not realistic - I play narrow defence but my two wingbacks almost never tuck in to support the central defenders

    b) players tussling (I don't see how I can further explain this)

    c) players playing towards set tactics and moving and pressing like they are professional players (or close to it) - again, I am not sure how much clearer I can be on this

    d) players still attacking and giving the ball away (by crossing into opp box) even though I set tactics to defensive, and to waste time, as I defend a one goal lead in the 89th min, be great to see them running towards the corner flag

I think just the above is more than enough work for SI? And I believe just fulfilling the above will go a long way to satiating a lot of fans.

Pressing triggers is something that I will need more time to work on. It can get very detailed. But rest assure I am not expecting that in the game. If you want to see my thoughts on pressing triggers (and if you think that it is actionable), just shout out, I am more than happy to provide it.

And it grates on the mods when we get misinterpreted, quoted out of context or hyperbole is offered without specifics.

You seem to have a good grasp on things, although I haven't noticed much in the way of bug reports or new feature requests from you in the last 20-30 years.  If the game is at less than 50% right now, please do share your knowledge by raising lots of new feature requests and pointing out - with specific examples - all the bugs and precisely where things need to be improved.  But you won't will you - all mouth and no trousers.

Start dealing in specifics if you want to be taken seriously.

Easy. Don't need to get your knickers in a knot. As I have said just, and in my other posts, that I have previously pointed out my views not just on the last release but also my suggestions on how the game can be improved.

I will just quote from my last post "I echoed very similar views to yours a few weeks back. Just like many others on here. Even our views on ME, pressing triggers, playing to instructions, in-depth tactical systems and players AI are the same. I will also add more realism like GKs coming off the line to clear a loose ball (esp if i play a high line and GK Sweeper), better GK's reactions to second balls, one-on-ones, and proper tussling for balls."

If the above is not enough for SI to work off from I don't know what it. I mean, I am not asking for the moon am I? Isn't this the fundamentals of a football simulation game?

I don't see the need to requests for more features beyond the above, as of now. I rather you guys focus on getting the 'basic' stuff fixed, which already seems like a stumbling block.

And I am not a micro managing person, I am not sharp on details, therefore I don't do bug reports.

What I have suggested have been echoed by a few others on here. It's really no rocket science to understand. Just the core building blocks of a proper football simulation game. Nothing unreasonable. Let's be realistic and focus on these for now.

When you look at the announced features all i can say is this year is an utter joke. Ive looked at their website a broken it down and when you do they are pulling the wool over your eyes to try and justify its £40 price tag. This is also based on information that was available at the time but i highly doubt that with a relates date being set that any other major features will be added.

    Club vision

By the looks of it, this is just updated from our current system of board confidence. Could someone explain how this is different or a "feature". It just seems like its more at the forefront of the game by getting emails and more granular gradings.

    Per the FM features page.

"For instance, if you’ve honed a particularly attacking style of football at a club, you’ll be known for this around the world which could make you more appealing to a board..."

I can already see that in FM19 and it already effects the game. Every screenshot on the page i cane find mostly on my manager page on FM19 but now its in an email and I'm graded A-F. Yeah great, big feature there.

    Playing pathway

Yes i would say this is an improvement which i welcome but as a headline feature?! Its a very welcome addition and give more control but again this is just a update on an old system.

    Backroom staff

Is this anything more the quality of life updates? They are trying to claim having a new staff member like the loan manager which tells me to send players out on loan is significant!

I also don't care for my staff opinions about team formation or personal so any improvements to this is worthless. I put this update in the same category as the social media stuff. Pointless

    Development centre

This is the only thing that looks like a proper feature. Previously development of youth products has been difficult monitor and implement  and my favourite parts of FM was taking a wondkid and trying to make him a star so this is very welcome.

I think this year i will be forgoing buying FM20. This is DLC being sold as a fully fledge instalment.

IM not asking for them to rebuild everything or have ps4 standard graphics.

I want exactly the same things that everyone else has asked for years. I want a more in depth tactical system with pressing triggers, better transfer AI (How many times have i tried to sell a decent player and for pennies and no one comes in or they come in for my best player with tiny bids)

Most of all i want a ME that is half decent. There is so much wrong with it. Defenders all running to the same player, players not listening to instructions constantly , no one twos that you constantly see in real games.

Issue is FM doesn't have a competitor and because of that they never have to worry about pushing the game forward. Getting a bit tired of it because of love the concept and have put in many hours into it. Personally think its time Miles moved on. Completely out of touch of what the games needs and spends too many resources on things like in game social media

I echoed very similar views to yours a few weeks back. Just like many others on here. Even our views on ME, pressing triggers, playing to instructions, in-depth tactical systems and players AI are the same. I will also add more realism like GKs coming off the line to clear a loose ball (esp if i play a high line and GK Sweeper), better GK's reactions to second balls, one-on-ones, and proper tussling for balls. I think that even with at least half of the above gets addressed, it is a giant step towards bringing the game to their claim of being the 'best in football management simulation'.

Hopefully the next reveal can fulfill at least parts of it.

To me, it is quite shocking that a game this established is still floundering in many of the most basic football gameplay.

I can totally understand that it is not easy but it grates on me when the mods go "it's tough, it's not as easy as you think...". Yeah I am sure it is not easy, but unfortunately that's the game SI choose to make. And there are loads of things in the world that are not easy too, building Burj Khalifa for example. But you don't see the builders of Burj Khalifa building a crooked structure and telling people to stop complaining as it is not easy to build??

And SI as a game has been around for what, 20 - 30 years? It's something that should be gotten right by now, at least 70% in my opinion. At this moment, we are not even at a 50%.

Among many things, it frustrates me to see three of my world class players running in a straight line after an opposing player, repeatedly. I am sorry, but i find this unacceptable for a game of this standing and reputation.

Ive said it before and many people as well.

Miles, get off of twitter or get a PR team to run your twitter. You do not have a thick skin, because every year you are complaining again about people complaining about you. Or your twitter background to begin with. Thats not having an "incredibly thick skin". And this is coming from a Dutch person, so I know what it actually means.

People throwing abuse at Miles? Not okay.

The way Miles is handing it? Also not okay.

Miles is not Blizzard/NBA levels of bad PR (thank god for that), but it certainly isnt the PR we want to see from the director. Its doing more harm than good.

Agree. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Abuse is definitely not right but it is unfortunately inevitable if one is on social media, and more so being the face of a game that is still very much a work in progress.

Just hire a PR person to handle the social media and gather the feedback. He don't have to be running it personally. I believe everyone prefers that he spends his time on the game than having to mudsling with some internet dude.

Funny how many fans of different games want to be developer/PR/whathaveyou of the game they love. Maybe next year they'll release an FM Developer sim and folks can properly manage a release.

Suppose  it shouldn't be too much of a surprise as for many the main attraction is "I can do job N" better than people in real life.

In real life I've found people who have a reputation for being "bad at PR" are the ones I work best with.  Hard workers, internally motivated, direct = incredibly efficient.  Great people to work with.

    Don't make sense whatsoever.

No. You were not picked on. It wasn't constant droning, just explanations on some of the points you raised. There was a discussion If you have an issue, use the contact us button at the bottom of the page. It doesn't belong in here.

Well, let me correct myself. I was not picked on per say, but me being disrespectful (using an exclamation mark) was a sticking point that was picked on. It was addressed specifically along with an accusation that I was not being constructive even though my suggestions were not replied to. It's all evidenced in the posts.

In any case, I only brought it up because someone else did, as do some others on here. I have no intention of pursuing it.

Just want the best for the game, which I feel can have loads of room for improvement in the realism bit.

  17. 9 minutes ago, Double0Seven said:

Yes I get that, but doesnt mean some elements are not realistic like the guy mentioned.

Whats disrespectful about this? I find it more disrespectful that Miles is shooting down this feature about DOFs claiming it isnt realistic and weirdly downshooting PES at the same time. Not every DOF is the same and now you can just completely ignore them. Thats not realistic.

He can just say they dont want it in the game or anything else...

I have no idea. They can get rather touchy. I got picked on for using an exclamation mark in a few paragraphs of text in which I gave suggestions on how to improve the game. Nothing aggressive or disrespectful. But nothing about the suggestions was even touched on, but just the constant droning about me being rude.

Serious question, do the markers of this game actually even read requested features from these forums? I genuinely haven't seen a single idea on here be put on to the actual game. Pretty much every new feature that has been announced could have LITERALLY just been added to the game via an update. I'm tired of it, I've been loyal for years but I'm not spending money every year for a game that's pretty much the same as the previous year, except this year we can create a 'five-year plan'. Explain to me why half the features that have been announced, if not all of them, can't just be added to the game with an update? Is it greed? I keep hearing they like the game to realistic, then explain why many of the realistic aspects of the game have NEVER been fixed, improved or even added to the game? Instead they worry more about the background colour of the game, which groovy font they're going to use this year, adding even more questions to press conferences when in fact most players skip it altogether.

~ WHY has transfer deadline day still not been revamped after so long? I'm sure there is a way to make it as exciting as it is in real life. Why not have a live 60 minute clock ticking down without the need to press continue? If you take part of the transfer deadline you should feel UNDER PRESSURE to get a last minute signing. That's meant to be the whole idea of the transfer deadline. We could even have our inbox receving messages/offers/replies in REAL time. For example, you bid on a player, then between 1 to 60 minutes later (in real time) the club responds to your bid. Agents sending you messages, players demanding loan moves, everything should feel HECTIC on deadline day. Don't tell me that's not possible because we had the live coundown in the fantasy draft, so there's no reason why it can't implemented in career mode. 'Take Part or Decline' has been the same for years. It's dull, boring and brings no excitement. A live clock ticking down will give you that feeling that you need to hurry up and buy someone. This literally happens in real life. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY can't you just change the way Al managers bid on your players, because whenever I try to sell a player all of the AI managers will offer me the exact same amount. It's like the AI managers all contact each other before they place the exact same on my player, for example, I'll try to sell a player and amazingly I'll receive about 11 offers all the same (even clubs from different countries) £4.6 million plus 15% sell on fee, and £500,000 after the player has played 20 games. You would think the makers of this game would have noticed this and changed it to be a little more realistic. A different variety of offers isn't too much to ask for and it's something that's easily fixable. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY can't you add more details in international management because it literally hasn't changed since 2007. In fact, we've lost more features in international management if anything. WHY training doesn't exist in international management I'll never know. Players don't stop training when they go on international duty. I remember I had a World Cup save, but I couldn't reach past the quarter finals because all my players fitness were between 50-70% as I was unable to train them or rest them, but the players from other nations were all at 99-100% because AI managers were able to train them I assume, or after a match they automatically went to full fitness. Just ruins the game for me when something like that is again easily fixable. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY do my back up players keep demanding game time? The player signed a contract as a back up player. So why is he demanding I play him? I'll play him when I want. If anything, back up players should be requesting loan moves to get game time, or be happy to play when picked, why sign a back up contract if they're going to demand game time every 2 months? FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY can you only 'shout' once every 15 minutes in match time? In real life managers can shout at their players whenever they want, not once every 15 minutes. FIX IT!!!!
~ WHY is there no real relationship between you and your coaches?
~ WHY is there no pep-talk before a penalty shootout? Like REAL managers, I want to be able to tell my players to relax, good luck, ignore the crowd taunting or tell them not to let the nerves get to you etc. Just what happens in real life, managers hyping up their players. FIX IT!!!!
~ WHY do players not put themselves forward for taking a penalty, or players deciding they don't want to take a penalty due to nervousness etc? Again, these things happen in real life. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY can't I force my senior players to train with the Under 20's if I feel they have a bad attitude or not performing to their standards, or making countless mistakes during games, or disrupting team unity, not letting them back into the squad until they've apologised to the squad. Discipline in this game needs to be expanded. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY hasn't a substitution icon on the proccessing tab during the match been added by now? There's already a little yellow/red card whenever a foul takes place, and a little football when a goal is scored, complete the set and just add a little red and green substitution icon, then we can hover it and it can show you which player has come on and which player has gone off, rather than having to go to player ratings to see when the other manager has made subs. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY after so many years can you still not let us use our salary? What's the point in giving me a salary if I can't do anything with it? Why not let us use our salary for things that real life managers would actually have to pay for. I don't know, let me see, maybe, paying for your coaching badges from your salary? Paying to actually go on holiday (pay a small amount to go on holiday for a certain amount of days. If you go on holiday for even longer, weeks/months then you need to pay even more out of your salary) pay for language courses if you're working in another country, you could make personal assistants in the game actual functioning staff and managers could hire or fire their own personal assistants (PA) there's many things we could do with salary's. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY are we allowed to hire/fire Directors of Football? What's the point in working with a Director of Football if you can hire or fire them whenever you want? Since when were managers allowed to hire/fire Directors of a football club? The board/chairmen decide this, not the manager. Managers DON'T run the whole club. Yes, I know you can turn this option off under the staff responsibilities, but it shouldn't be an option to begin with, period. Managers should only be allowed to suggest to the board that they fire a DoF or hire one, that's it. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY are players that get their debut or those that are trying to break in to the first team still looking 'complacent' or feeling 'complicated' surely they should be feeling proud, grateful, or see it as an opportunity to show off their skills. When do you ever see a player making his debut saying he felt 'complicated' and 'worried' they're always bursting with pride. FIX IT!!!!

~ WHY after so many years in a FOOTBALL MANAGER game can a club just pick up another manager as if that manager literally wasn't contracted to his previous club? If another club wants you as their manager but you're still under contract with your current club why isn't the board allowed to reject or accept the other clubs request for wanting you. We're missing a step in this process, the clubs need to start negotiating with each other. Clubs in real life can't just contact a manager from another club while he's under contract and the chairman/board of the original club get no say, they have to allow the manager permission to speak to the new club. Of course you can just resign if they reject another clubs approach for you, but these things happens in real life. If the club rejects the offer, and you're unable to talk to the other club, then you can offer an ultimatum, resign or discuss your demands if you're to stay. Chairmen in this game need WAY more power, because right now it feels as if the manager runs the whole club. I want to feel like I have a boss as well. FIX IT!!!!

But never mind fixing all the realism aspects of the game, we have new recyclable packaging guys, yayyy! (even though the majority of customers purchase through stream thus making the packaging entirely pointless for those that buy it online.) Forget about concentrating on making the game incredible and a huge milestone for 2020, lets just SAVE THE FISHES with our new recyclable packaging, yayyy! Such a disappointment so far this year, absolute claptrap. It's just an updated Football Manager 2019, except unlike other updates, you have to pay £40 for this one.

I suggested improvements to more general game play stuff like having more one-on-one with GK, player tussling, adherence to tactics, modern tactics, better player movement... but some of yours seem easier to fix. I was told that a collision system is taking them four years to implement. God knows how other realistic stuff like GK AI, realistic player movement, adherence to tactics will take.

It increasingly looks like adding realism is something that SI should put a lot more focus on to. Especially when SI call themselves the best football manager simulation game. Well, they are not wrong in a way cos they are the only one around?

Of course, if the next updates can cover a large part of what were suggested I be more than happy to put down money for it.

    This.

    Lol.

Look up the dictionary for the meaning of demand.

    Gosh.

And, if you bother to read again, and not through your rose tinted glasses, I was merely coming off a statement by one of the mods that said that people who complained about the game should not purchase it.

What I said is a logical extension of that. I actually agree.

So in actuality, it is the mod who is indirectly asking for a boycott, by telling people who complained about it to not buy it.

    Get it???
