I think it's more everything gets reset like morale/cohesion etc so you see the reduced performance that way maybe.....pure conjecture though as I also get spanked all of a sudden where I was doing well before a patch

Just one question
Shouts
- Shouts are awesome once again - they are akin to a boost button.
Is there a guide to shouts? I've tried the Assistant on them who likes to tank morale at a moment's notice with his high stats but I don't really know what I'm doing. I've left it off and just don't bother but don't want to hinder myself of there is a guide to using them

Loving this tactic. Playing 2.1 with assistant OI and beating teams 2/3/4 nil without the as is tradition goal for the opposition at the end of the game.

I'm getting a similar situation and there seems to be an abundance of what would be a placed shot before the update now being skied everytime. Not sure if its a coincidence but I have gone from a 20 game winning streak to a 7 game losing streak......only change closed the game in between and it updated

I was hoping after the preview video that different options may actually work in the match engine. Realise its early days but any results with anything other than gengenpress?

The issue with importing existing tactics into fm23 is it resets the defence to a basic level due to the new settings I assume. Anyone had a good defence setup so far as forest Green for far too many chances in a friendly I just played.....

@knap no just set to right back and left back dependent on side but the quality of my players are better for the first choice player and one of them has the long throw ability. Only really noticed anyone really bad at throw ins is not as good anymore as previously anyone could do a long throw.
Now you do need a little skill at throw ins but as I say my LB with a throw in of 8 is still good.

Playing a quick game before work and my backup left back with 8 throw ins no bullet throw has just laid on 3 goals off 7 throw ins

Not so much ineffective but you need the specialists to do them it seems. In league 2 of a tier 10 save i started, my long throw specialists I've noticed no difference.
My backup right back with no throw in skill now throws like.....he has no skill in throw ins

I've also set a exclusion for the virus scan of the fm21 folder.
