There's the option to straight up ask the player to represent your nation, but is there anything else one can do when the targeted player refuses to commit? Apparently international managers cannot for example praise players.

This is badly needed. At least please give us the option to rest players in international management!

I tried searching this thread but got no results. I was wondering if it's possible to postpone retirements in FM19? I tried to do that with the official editor, but couldn't find any option related to the player's impending retirement.

Those are some impressive numbers! But they start around 2030, by which time at least in FM19 teams mostly consist of newgens. Between 2022-2028 your top scorers got 17-25 goals and mostly about 20 or less. Looking at real numbers starting from 2009/10 to 2018/19 the top scorers had 20-32 goals (20 once, 22 once and then lowest is 25, source: https://www.premierleague.com/news/1206108).

I haven't bought FM20 at least yet and am still playing 19. Before that the last version I had was FM14. One of the things that really annoys me in 19 is the fact that compared to real life scoring is off. From what I've read about 20 it's the same as 19. So I was wondering which FM (ME) was the closest to real life numbers in terms of scoring? I'd really like to see the top scorers scoring over 20 (league) goals per season consistently and occasionally top scorers getting over 30. Not to mention the absolute best getting really impressive numbers. Obviously it's been a while since I played FM before 19, but my memories indicate that way back then scoring was closer to real life numbers.

Very disappointing that the problem seems to persist. It's definitely not game-breaking, but at least to me hurts immersion badly.

Has anyone finished a full season yet? I was wondering what amount of goals the top goalscorers finish with in the new version. One thing that annoys me in FM 19 is that usually the top scorers seem to finish with only ~18-22 league goals.

Even though the logic behind giving awards seems weird at times it would be nice to have awards in the World Juniors.

Would be great if we had the option to manually set line matching, ie. a pull-down menu for each line "Match with opposing line X". Currently the pre-set options don't enable all different combinations.

Currently when your player is criticized by the media you do get a chance to respond. You can either defend him, agree with the critique or stay silent.

Please make it so that new signings in the NHL won't arrive before the start of July. Currently if one has had a decent amount of draft picks the arrival of new prospects during June really messes up the roster due to the limit of 50 contracts. I've been repeatedly forced to waive numerous players and also buy out contracts.

I would like the willingness of Russian players (and generally players in the KHL) to move to the NHL increased. Currently it seems close to impossible to make signings like Chicago did last year with Panarin and Tikhonov.

Please enlarge the pre-season TOP10 listings (NHL) to, say, the 20 best. Also the coding behind the choices could use some tinkering, there are often some really odd choices in the listings!

It would be really useful if the contract negotiations screen (in the NHL) would show which years are RFA and which UFA years when offering a deal.

Please add the possibility of teams picking up a part of of a player's salary in a trade! In my save just before the second season Ryan Kesler was made available by the Ducks, but I'm definitely not taking his full 6,875m $ salary on my books...

This has probably been mentioned a few times, but please look at trade deadline day improvements! This is one of the busiest days of the year in the NHL and should be simulated properly in EHM.
Just played another season, and I cannot begin to tell you how much it sucks to hit continue for trade deadline day, then all of a sudden have 50 new messages including good players going on the block, and get traded for without giving the player GM a chance to react. Right now it is just a frenzy that only the AI is allowed to participate in.
Some suggestions:
- Slow simming to hourly on trade deadline day.
- Add a "deadline hub" interface with a live trade block, waiver wire, team needs, rumours, etc.
- Give the player an option to bypass the deadline if they wish.

I'd like to see contract negotiations improved, starting from the very simple change of allowing us always to alter the term of the contract. I was just trying to hire a couple of assistant coaches, but for some reason the length was locked at the 6 years they asked for. Why couldn't I offer them 3? 4? 5?

Thanks for the response. When does the option to offer guarantees appear? So far I've only been able to simply ask the players to represent my nation (Raphinha and Toloi to Italy). I'd guess the "helping in a tournament" option might appear closer to the World Cup or the EUROs, but how about the option to guarantee a role or playing time?
There are multiple discussion options when the news item appears that a player (newgens) is pondering between two nations, but I'm trying to be proactive here.
Edit: finally! After asking Raphinha for the umpteenth time, he refused again, but now I actually got to open a dialogue with him.
