In matches, I have a set of options for shouts (encourage, berate, etc.), and a set of options for instructions (possession, transition, etc.)
Now, IRL, how can you change tactical instructions if not through shouts?...
This distinction in FM doesn't make much sense from how things really work during a match, does it?...
Just noticed this after nearly 20 years...

Another follow-up.
So, if I get a scouting report like the one above that says Samuel Lie is 3.5 stars, does that mean he is 3.5 stars compared to the players on my team, or compared to the league as a whole?
Not sure why, but once I hire a player, his rating often drops by half a star...
As others mentioned, be careful using star ratings as its based on the faulty opinion of staff (one reason to hire scouts with high scouting ratings!).
For example, I hired a striker with 2.5 star potential but excellent ratings. Once he joined and started scoring lots of goals, his stars went up to 3 star potential! See image:

I purchased it, never to cheat, but to slightly improve my experience here and there: jersey numbers, salary corrections, etc. I'm probably underutilizing it, but it's good.

Agree with all notes above. I find it particularly odd that you can keep both club and international jobs simultaneously. This is quite unrealistic...

FM22 works flawlessly on my laptop, but it has been occasionally crashing during matches when I click on some player profiles
*** I admit, I'm playing a USA mod created by Zealand as well as Zealand's skin, so no fault of Siga or FM on this ***
Having admitted this, are there any tips that I could adopt to prevent crashes? Thanks in advance

What's more important for a CD and for a Target Forward: Heading or Jumping?... I'm trying to more precisely understand the application of each attribute. TIA.

That's a loaded question. Can your computer support a global journeyman or just a few nations... In any case, I'd start unemployed and apply for a bunch of jobs, but commit to accept the first offer from a minimally decent club that you have a good feeling about. That's kinda real, kinda fun, and alleviates the pressure of you picking the "perfect" club.
Let us know what you chose. Good luck!

Currently I have to welcome new signings one by one, and it's a bit of a click fest.
Can you please create a feature for delegating that to staff automatically? Thank you.

So that you have a choice. You can always choose a different player than the default option to welcome the newcomer.
Thanks for that. I didn't know that. I thought the welcome wishes was linked to whatever player name shows up on the drop-up menu.
In any case, there should be an option for automatic "delegating" just like for many other features (I'm think I'm going to suggest that in the feature request forum).

The thing is though, there is no reason to not do it- so why not make it automatic?
Bingo!

There will be a lift to the new players and I would have thought that there would be a slight reaction if it didnt happen. How many times are you going to be welcoming 10 players all at the same time though?
OK, thanks for explaining. As for the clicks, FM has many inefficiencies in user experience design. So, it is sometimes an unnecessary click fest here and there, but I'm just being a bit picky.

Does welcoming players matter? Does it really speed up integration? It's 3 clicks per player, so it' a bit boring to click 30 times when I bring in 10 new players...

Is there any other way of editing the colors of my jersey (as their appear on the field during a match)? If my kit is locking the edit, how can I unlock this?
Many thanks in advance.

Miles have said this:
And just in case anyone does not know. Please don't discuss ongoing UK legal matters here.
Players should be removed based on moral grounds, not on legal basis.
"Not everything that is legal is moral" is the first thing you learn on Law school. Example, the Apartheid was legal, slavery was legal. Civil disobedience was illegal, interracial marriage was illegal.
So, if a club sues a player based on some contract disagreement, will SI get rid of the player?!... This needs to be revised.

You have now 4 jerseys set, so you need to remove those checkered ones as well.
Click on the black bar next to background. There you will get a colour menu.
Thanks. Indeed, that was the case. So I deleted those and designed a red and white shirt. It shows well in the tactical screen, but not during the match. See image below: bottom line is red and white jersey but on the field it's the original blue jersey. Quite weird. Any suggestions?... Thanks again.

Back to the future...

I'd like to change the color of my jersey, to really differentiate it from most other clubs in my league (most jersey sets in my league look so similar!!).
Now, my editor shows checkered white and black jersey (see image below), whereas my home jersey is usually navy blue, so I'm a bit confused...
Can someone please indicate steps on how I can change my jersey from blue, say, to yellow?
Many thanks in advance.

I wish Football Manager was a truly realistic game, but there are so many inaccuracies in it, this being one of them.
Yes. Just like Total War, there could be a blood & gore feature on FM... And, like in Motorsports Manager, there could be a corruption opportunity every now and then... Maybe steroids and blackmail?... And a dog crossing the field... I'd love all of that...

Job interview?... OK Boomer.

I came across this answer option during a job interview, and almost posted this in the Funny posts thread. However, it made me wonder: what's the point of such answers? Do they ever work?... Have you ever been successful in getting a job by selecting the most insulting answers?!...

When I ask a player to speak to another player (who is annoyed with my decision), I need to click 4 buttons: the initial request, my actual request, summary, and leave screen buttons. Given that I have no options in my dialogue, all this clicking is completely unnecessary!
Any chance to reduce the excessive amount of clicking, at least in this type of dialogue? Why so much needless clicking!?
Thanks.

FM22 is beginning to feel like it's scripted

I'd bet you are doing something wrong in TRAINING, an area of FM that is hugely neglected by 99% of gamers in this forum...
