[How do you choose your FM manager name?]

I use a made up name for some fun.

For my first name I use one of my dogs (retired racing Greyhounds) and then add Taz for the last name.  

As you can imagine I tend to look for players with Pace to add to my team (see a theme).

It's normally quite easy to get under control. Play until January and sell the guys who haven't kicked a ball on free transfers.

Also try to offer new deals to your expensive players some times they can take a pay cut.

I have my wages set up for Annual reporting.  I appreciate the suggestions.

[FM22 - Wage Budget - Club Vision Required]

In FM22, I just started a job in 3.Liga (Germany) (new save). The club is currently $200K over payroll budget at the beginning. My top two paid players are definitely eating up too much wage budget, but they are both in leadership positions. How long do I have to meet budget level, if that is one of my club vision items? Can I start this way and then try to save at the second window? Thanks for the help.

I have not picked up FM23, but I was curious if anyone has looked at MLS.  How does it handle over a five years or more?  Do clubs stay competitive?  League I want to play, but roster management has been a struggle for AI clubs.

I am finding that starting out with a Sunday player rep and no coaching badges, I am not able to get a job.  I have only applied to lower league coaching jobs.  I am not sure if this is intended or if I have something not set up right.

Suggestions appreciated.

[How many countries to add when]

I have downloaded to edited databases where the leagues go down to level 16 (England) and I think it is level 7 (Germany).  How many other countries do you load when starting in the lower levels of these countries?  Do you add back countries as you progress?

I am just trying to figure out how to improve laptop performance when starting in lower leagues, so the assistance is appreciated.  This is the first time I have tried this.

[Playing the MLS in FM]

I have been working on learning the game, now I would like to start playing in the MLS as this is the league I know the best.  I realize that are some different rules than the rest of the world.  I was wondering two things:

1.  Do you have any tips regarding playing in the MLS?  I am looking for ways to get the best of out a long term save in the league.

2.  If you read some of the league specific bugs, the posts in there seem to be very negative about the ability to play in the league.  Is it worth starting a save in the MLS based on what I am reading?  I don't see much in the patch notes where the MLS is being updated, so that is why I am asking.

I played in the MLS for a few seasons in FM19.  The rules seem scary at first with such a low wage limit, but between Designated Contracts and your General Allocation Money that can be spent on reducing wages for the wage cap, it's not so bad.

 

 

I am referring to FM20, so I figure it is more the rules and attracting the talent more than anything.

I am looking to try and manage in the MLS for the first time.  In know that the league rules are very different from other leagues around the world.  I was wondering if any one had any tips in managing in the MLS.

[Football Manager 2019 Feature Blogs: New Manager Induction]

I know that I have owned prior versions of the game and I have not gotten as far into them as I have wanted.  I am hoping that these tutorials will help me finally put my football knowledge into enjoying the game.  I have struggled with certain aspects (training, tactics and scouting) that have limited my game playing.  Unfortunately, this is on me, but with the additional help maybe I can become one of those who finally getting into long term saves.
