  1. @coach vahid No Pis, just the roles and TIs as you see them. If I am playing as a worse team I would change the SKs to a SKd, and lower the tempo to "much lower"
  2. Thought I would share my interpretation of the system. On paper it looks extremely aggressive, and it is. I would go as far as saying it plays some of my favourite football I have been able to recreate on FM21, and it echos OPs posts in a similar fashion. My main aim was to obtain that W shape build up with the IWBs tucking in and the wingers staying wide. So far I have tested it with several elite teams (PSG, Juve), and they are absolutely steam rolling through teams. I have ene tried it with Burnley of all teams, and whilst they don't have the same quality, for example their dribbl
  3. Some results with AS Monaco below. Predicted 6th. Currently sitting in 1st. Only the 1 loss to PSG, and they are so far ahead of everyone else in the league. AS Monaco have a better standard of player than Newcastle so the results are more consistent. Didn't watch any of the games, this was all done on holiday. No signings. Poacher - Wissam Ben Yedder - 21 goals and 5 assists in 18 Appearances
  4. I have tried this tactic with Everton, Leicester and now Newcastle. I have taken Newcastle to 5th, with a few signings to boost areas we were lacking. Diego the 35 yr old brazilian who used to play for Werder Bremen has been excellent as a Trequartista. The striker in the poacher roles is lethal. Needs to have pace.
  5. Have to say this is a fantastic tactic. Ofte with tactics you might get good results, with pretty much the same exploitative goals scored over and over. I have tried this tactic with 3 different teams and the goals have been really fun to watch. Another thing is that there are loads of great highlights to watch, even when watching on key highlights. Good job!
  6. Good luck mate. Well reasoned and thought out post. I hope you have success. I must admit your attempts to nail it have inspired me and I am trying all sorts of permutations to get it working. I like the idea of no Tis and balanced mentality to see how the roles interact with each other.
  7. Has anyone got any idea how to implement a style like this again? I feel like with the change in Team instructions, especially with in transition options and lines of engagement off the ball, the parameters have changed and I am not sure how to follow the principles set out.
  8. Haha worth a shot I guess. I am currently in the process of rehashing one of Cleon's old Art of Possession formulas to ee how that fairs on the new ME. Initial results are promising, so if its got any legs I'll let you know.
  9. Another test, which albeit not fool proof is to use the Rate My Tactic App. I did that for the Control Possession preset. Appreciate it isn't your tactic, but indulge me. The tactic scores very well in terms of solidity, and that certainly seems the case with the ey test and results. The control possession preset, and by extension what you have produced, doesn't produce goals, but at the same time very rarely do you get absolutely drubbed. The penetration score is okay. I tend to find that top heavy tactics do far better in this area. The support score is very poor, especially d
  10. Heres the 4-3-3 control possession variant. Instructions and role selections seem fairly self explanatory. Being honest, I haven't fully ready your posts subsequent to your opening post, but
  11. @Christopher S have you considered using the tactic creator, and the control possession pre set, and then tweaking it to fit your vision? Some of the TIs might give you some inspiration?
  12. Do you have a full list of PIs? Would be keen to try the tactic out.
  13. Good observation, and exactly my take on the match. I wouldn't be surprised if slowly we morph to this approach, with a Ceballos and Partey Double Pivot along with Willian in the 10. Other option would be Partey as a single pivot with Ceballos and Willian ahead of him.
  14. I think when dissecting the current Arsenal tactic, the key si achieving the animation and interplay on the left side. You have to understand that our defensive shape is very much a 5-4-1 which changes to a 4-3-3 in build up. The left hand side was initially tricky to replicate as essentially the left sided centre back becomes a modern full back, and the wingback, drifts centrally to become the 3rd midfielder. Unfortunately, in FM it is not possible, to give centre backs in the wide positions instructions to get further forward, or run wide with the ball, so they will always be limited i
  15. You could perhaps turn the DLPd into a DMd, but with PIs like Take More Risks/ More Direct passing so that he still can play more incisive passes. Also set distribution to a specific individual and make that individual your DMd. That way when building out from the back, the DM will be to whom the keeper will try to distribute. Your team in general will try to seek out Odegard more as he will now be the sole playmaker in the team.
  16. Do you have the save file? I'd be keen to see how far I could take it?
  17. Do you think you could take them to the Prem, or are they capped?
  18. RESULTS POST Took the plunge and bought FM20 so actually played through a whole season. Tried the tactic out with Leeds and played some of the best football I have seen. Very enjoyable. Results Highlights Championship: 1st (6 point gap) FA Cup: Semi-Final Carbao Cup: Semi-Final Stats Highlights Goals For: 1st (77 goals) Goals Conceded: 1st (28 goals) Best Average Possession: 1st (62% 25711passes completed 90% accuracy) - we had almost 5100 completed passes more than 2nd place Best Shooting Accuracy: 2nd (51% with 369 shots on target)
  19. Right! After much tinkering I'm back and I think I may have cracked, he says with baited breath. TLDR: I changed some stuff and the tactic scores goals now and has a tight defense based on a high agressive press. Tested it with Arsenal. Don't know yet how it will fare with Underdogs or lower league players. Key Changes are Based on 3 things: 1. Team Mentality Change 2. TI Changes to temper mentality change and enhance pressing. 3. Role Changes Team Mentality Change One of the best threads I read was @Ö-zil to the Arsenal!'s Caixa Development Thread. There wa
  20. Little update. Moved the APs to the middle rather than the left halfspace. Instructed him to 'roam from position' and 'move into channels' which gives him more freedom to pop up all over the pitch and offer an option in space as a spare man. In the AMCL slot he rigidly stuck to that position, but moving him to AM allows him to roam but still slot into the left half space in build up. Biggest issue is consistency in front of goal. We are profligate in front of goal but very strong defensively, mainly because we hardly give away possession. I am seeing very nice interplay down the left flan
