Çankaya FK 2039/2040 Season Review On the Field Europe Our first exposure to Champions League Football lasted two games. Monaco embarrassed us at home. Though two late goals for us gave some hope for the second leg. The comeback did not happen and we went back to the Europa League. We had a relative easy schedule and had no problem qualifying for the round of 16. Hearts did not pose a threat, but in the QF we were bested by Augsburg. We had beaten them in the league phase but could not repeat that. Two 1-1 draws and a goalless extra time sent us to penalties which the Germans took better. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası Also lost in the Quarter finals. Also to Penalties. Spor Toto Süper Lig . Fixtures prt 1 | fixtures prt 2 We had a bad start to the season. We recovered and finished the season well, but Beşiktaş was strong all season. We came in 4th this year, but only two points off from 2nd. Not a bad season at all. U19's Champions again. The future is bright in Ankara. Squad Player of the season: Hakan Bayarslan Once again it will be Hakan. Less goals this year but more assists. Top scorer. Mürsel Karataş For the first time since we are in the top tier we have a striker that scored more than 20 goals. Young player of the year: Mert Balcı 13 goals and 7 assists as a backup in his first year. Youth intake Some decent talent coming our way. These in particular have our hopes up. Board Transfers | Finances three major transfers this year. For Ertugrul and Berat it was time to go. They've been great for years but have been surpassed by the new generation. Cengiz forced the move. I would have loved to keep him but it was not to be. Next Season. We need more consistency. Especially in defense. Against top teams we are very vulnerable.

Çankaya Futbol Kulübü Season review 2038/2039 On the field Europe Second time in Europe, and this time we wanted to get to actual european football by reaching the league stage. We had no real problems in the playoffs. In the first leg against Austria Lustenau we got a early lead and I felt comfortable subbing in some young talent. that was a mistake, and they came back to win it. The second leg at home we made no such mistake and we were in the Europa league proper. We had some tough matches against premier league teams, but in the end qualified easily for the KO playoff We had a tough opponent in Sporting in the playyoff round but two solid 2-1 vicotries saw us through to the round of 16. There we faced Galatasaray. We won 3-2 at home, lost 3-2 away and then went on to concede in extra time. A dissapointin end but round of 16 in our first Europa league campaign is not bad at all. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası We got to the final for the second time in our history. For the second time we faced Fenerbahçe and for the second time we lost. The route to the final was not easy as we faced only top tier teams and had to face all of the big three clubs. Spor Toto Süper Lig Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 Our first real title push. A loss for us on the final day makes it look a lot more comfortable for Beşiktaş than it actually was. We pushed them the entire season but in the end the fixture load and title pressure bacame to much for my young squad. Only 3 losses the enitre year but 10 draws is what did us in. U19s Another title for our youngsters. Squad Player of the season: Hakan 7.2 avg. 9 goals, 9 assists. Constant thread on the wings Topscorer: Mürsel Karataş. 18 goals for the young striker. He also takes the young player of the year award 2 on the list this year. Youth intake Decent intake, not spectacular. these are the ones where our hope lies: Board Finances | Transfers Umran Bas is the only significant transfer. A defender we couldn't really lose but he forced his way out. Defense is our weakest part of the squad. The finances are still healthy, After asking for it for years, we finally got another upgrade to the youth Facilities. Next season We have Champions league football next year. I hope we can build on this year and challenge again for the title. Once in a while the big three all have a bad season, I must be there to take advantage. 10 year summary

Çankaya Futbol Kulübü 2037/2038 Season review On the field Fixtures prt 1 | Fixtures prt 2 A crazy season where we just miss out on the championship by goal head to head results. Not that we improved that much from last season, the other teams just all decided to suck at the same time. 6 points has only been enough for fourth the entire save. Thew ending wasn't as dramatic as it now apears. with two games to go for us Fenerbahçe secured the championship. We and Beşiktaş had to win our remaining games, which we did , while Fener could lose their last, which they did. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası Another short cup run, but losing against Beşiktaş is no shame. Squad Player of the season: Taşkın Yılmaztürk lots of candidates this season, but taskin gets it. Topscorer: Hakan Bayarslan 16 goals from the winger and the first time we had more than 15 goals from one person in the top flight. Young player of the season: Cengiz Sürmeligöz Solid season from the 17 year old. Several players made their season extra special by making their debut for the turkish national team. But the honor of the first Çankaya player in the national team goes to Hakan Both Taşkın and Cengiz made the next gen list this year Youth intake A disapointing Youth intake but I'm glad we're getting a DC talent, We were getting thin in our defenders. To be honest Ziya might be good enough to be my 4th defender right now. Board Finances | Transfers No major transfers and the finances are no longer an issue (untill the tycoon pulls the plug, then it will be a major issue) At the start off the season our facilities were deemed old fashioned, and no longer up to snuff. luckily the board cares about the senior facilities. Next season The board wants another title challenge, and I don't have the heart to tell them we lucked into this one. If the traditional teams get their act together we have no chance. A thing that can help you in the first years is to start with a team that is allready proffesional. You get better legacy players, most of the time. and full time training will do your squad a lot off good.

Çankaya Futbol Kulübü season review 2036/2037 I survived! On the field Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 | Position graph We started the year disastrously. Winning only 1 match of the first 11. We found ourselves bottom of the league, while we thought we could have gone for Europe this year. The board wasn't very happy. I thought I was done for, but they allowed me to continue, Then the next time we dropped points they held another, and the next time... Through December and January I had 7 meetings like this with the board. When we got out of the relegation zone the frequency dropped and when we got to midtable they stopped alltogether. At the end of the season we managed a nice run of form and we ended up in 9th to satisfy the boards demand of a top half finish. A weird end to one of te most stressfull seasons of FM I've played. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası During our horrid form we managed to lose against lower league opposition in the cup. U19's The U19s are crowned champions for the first time Squad Player of the season : Hikmet Genç 27a Top scorer Hasan Cebeci 30c Young player of the season: Cengiz Intake Some decent talents with decent personalities. Board Finance | Transfers No facility upgrades, no major transfers. Next season Every time i say we are ready to look upward and improve we have a disastrous season. Things aren't going very well this season... The board isn't very happy with our last place. Something i can understand. I'd be furious too if I invested 60M into a club and it looked like it was going down. I'm confident i can right the ship if i can get the time. Get clear of relegation for sure. maybe even get back into the top half of the table. it's that close.

Çankaya Futbol Kulübü Season review 2035/2036 On the field So close. Twice! Let's begin with the league Spor Toto Süper Lig Once again a tale of two halves. We had a great start and because the top clubs all had down years we were in the picture for the top spot by december. We did draw alot which kept us from actually competing. in the second half we once again got found out and started lose more. On the last day we still had a shot for fifth place, which normally gives a EUCL spot. We needed to beat allready crowned champions, Trabzonspor. while Samsunspor needed to drop points. Samsunspor drew against Konyaspor but we were not able to beat Trabzonspor. It was close though. They only scored their winner in the 84th minute. It would have been nice to claim 5th but this year it would probaly not give a european spot. In the final of the cup was Fenerbahçe who had a absolute nightmare of a season but had regained form in the last part of the season. They were the favorites to win an claim the last european spot. In that final they faced... us! So we had an actual chance for european football. Let's see how we did. Ziraat T ürkiye Kupası We lost, is what we did Our road to the final was not easy. We faced 3 teams of the top five finishers in the league. needing penalties twice. our Semi final was easy on paper as we faced a 2nd tier team. We got the job done but it wasn't good. The final was tense afair. They scored in the 2nd minute. Two goals from Taskin gave us the lead but they quickly equalized. to extras we went. Nothing much happened for most of it. They finally broke through and scored in the 115th minute. We went all out attack and they countered to another goal. It was not to be. But a good season overall. We go again next year. As an aside. This is why i love long term saves. Some of you may recognize the name of their coach as one of my legacy players. Berat was my captain for one year and has moved up through the leagues with me. When he hang up his boots I made him assistant manager of the U19s. He got poached after a few years for a managers position in a third tier club. he worked his way up and has had several clubs in the top tier now. Including his last Samsunspor where he was a thorn in my side. When Fenerbahçe fired their coach they came to him and he has yet to lose a match with them. I always like to keep tracks of players carreers when they go and he has so far been the most succesfull. Squad Player of the season: Great explosive player. Contributed well all season. Topscorer: Aslan with 11. Didn't keep us his pace of last season but had a decent season overall. Youth layer of the season: Taskin claimed a spot late on in the season and performed well. He also scored both our goals in the cup final so I'm very happy with him. Aslans performance was good enough to land him on the NXGN list. He was our only player at nr. 31 Youth intake Not much talent this year. though the top talents look good. These are the ones we invest our hope in: Board One major transfer this year Hasan Balaban went to hertha who came in with a offer we couldn't refuse. We were desperately leaking money at the time. Our youts setup now costs a million a month. And the only way to pay for that was with transfers. I said was because during the season we got some good news. Our money problems have gone Unfortunately our new board also doesn't believe in youth and I still can't even ask to upgrade the youth facilities. In their new season vision meeting they also introduced two new board cultures. Sign high rep players and spend the transfer budget. I negotiated the latter out but i fear this board is going to be tricky to deal with in the future if all his Millions don't lead to immediate succes. Next Season I want european football this time. We should be able to keep the squad together now with our tycoon backing, Our rep is slowly getting to the where it should be and I hope that will limit the second half collopse somewhat. We'll see. Çankaya Futbol Kulübü 2034/2035 season review On the field Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 A much better season without extreme runs. We did continue our winless from last season with 4 more games without a win to start the season. 3 of the four matchtes this season were draws so I wasn't that worried. It was nice to get that first win though. Throughout the whole season we were one good run of form away from contending for Europe. That didn't happen off course, but I'm very happy with a boring 7th place Ziraat Türkiye Kupası Defeated in the fifth round by Samsunspor. Squad Player of the season: Hakan Bayarslan The young winger was the best player this season. 12 assists and 5 goals for a rating of 7.12 Topscorer: Baran Karasu 13 goals for him this year as we continue the trend of average strikers in my team. Youth player of the season: Berat Aslan The young striker made his way into the first team late in the season and went on to score 7 goals in 10 matches. For his performances Hakan was named 3th in the NextGen list: Youth intake The preview was very encouraging I normally don't care much for the preview but for this I was willing to hope The actual intake wasn't bad either Good amount of potential and some good/decent personalities. My U19's are stacked now. The only thing that is holding us back now is the youth facilities I think. Board Finances | Transfers No major transfers this year and our financeds suffered for it. We've burned through most of our reserves. Didn't help that we invested heavily in the training complex once again. Not that I'm complaining. We have now maxed out training facilities as well as youth recruitment and Junior coaching. The only thing that is lacking are the youth facilities. These are stuck on Adequate. I need this board gone to get them I'm afraid. I read a tip that said if you bad-mouth your chairman in the press he is more likely to consider selling/stepping down. So I did. Not sure if coincidence or if it worked. Either way I'm happy. This message has been up for most of the season now with several takeovers failed. Next season I want to build on this season. Hopefully we can improve enough to challenge for Europe again. We enter our 10th season in the topflight and for the first time we are not predicted to go down.

What does everyone do with training? I've made my own schedules but I hardly notice a difference between what the AI could do for me.

Çankaya FK Season review 2033/2034 On the field Fixtures prt 1 | Fixtures prt 2 Europe Our first taste of european football ended after four matches. I thought we were unlucky drawing at home to baku. I was confident we could take them on away. I was wrong. would have been nice to reach the group stage but nearly 2M for four matches is easy money. Besides, we could focus now on the league. Spor Toto Süper Lig I don't want to talk about it... ok fine.... we started of bad with one win in our first 7 league matches. After that we righted the ship somewhat in november in december. If we continued that form i was confident we had a chance to compete for the european places again. We started the year well by winning on january 1st, However, we did not win again in the 16 following matches. 5 draws and 11 losses. nearing the end of the season we even slid towards the relegation zone. Something I did not think was possible in december. On the last day we played Kayerispor. If Manisa won (which they did) we needed to either win or draw. As did Kayerispor. a bore 0-0 draw was the result. complaints of collusion have been sent to the turkish FA but they have concluded nothing untowards has happened. We survived. probably my worst experience ever playing FM. Nothing seemed to work. Anyway, onwards to next season. surely it can't go worse. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası We entered late because we were in Europe and left early. We lost against Fatih on penalties, who played in the second tier. This was made more bareable when Fatih went on and won the whole thing. Squad No awards this season. I was too tilted and forget. whoops Intake: Some decent potential here. Board Transfers | Finances Only one major transfer this year. As feared Emre was wanted by half of europe. Both Inter and AC Milan came with early offers. Our board decided to interfere and declare both offers to good to ignore and accepted both. A shame, because i could have fleeced them for a lot more. Off course Emre then went on to choose the lower of the two offers. Still, 12.5M is an incredible amount of money for us that we could put to good use. Which we did: Three levels of youth recruitment were approved. As well as two upgrades for the training facilities. Not a bad return for one player. What's Next This season has left me a bit demotivated to be honest. I hope we can hold our own next season. No crazy streaks this time please. Also, does anyone know what I can do to make youth facility upgrades visible? Other than a new Chairman? i maxed out junior coaching and recruitment, I think. also the training facilities are very good now. by comparison the youth facilities are just bad and I think they hold my youth intakes back.

Always make decisions that will make you better in the long term, rather than help you now. for example, if selling your star player means staying midtable for longer but funds facility upgrades it is worth it.

Çankaya FK Season review 2032/2033 On the field Fixtures part 1 | fixtures prt 2 Europe here we come! An amazing season. Once again we started well, but this time we kept our midseason slump to a minimum. We were in the running for fifth place all season but only occupied it on 3 occasions including after the last match day. We went into that match knowing we had to win and Kayerispor had to drop points. A nerve racking 90 minutes later we had secured our first European cup place of the save. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası We only faced lower league opposition. I sent out the reserve squad against Hatayaspor and they promptly gave up 3 goals. after subbing in 5 first teamers we managed to claw back two goals but a complete comeback was not to be. Squad Player of the season: 10. Hikmet Genç 27a first time award for him and the first that got a average rating of 7 or higher since we play in the top flight. Hikmet had 9 goals and 6 assists over 31 total apearances as well as 5 times Player of the match. Topscorer: Emre Bağlar. The young striker was great for us with 12 goals. starting off with sharing duties he quickly became first choice. He was a bit inconsistent but that is to be expected with a 17 year old. Young player of the season: Adnan Özan 30h for the second year in a row he wins this. He had a great season, and that didn't go unnoticed. 1st 2 on the nextGen list! I imagine it will be difficult to keep both around next season. Youth Intake Another slightly disapointing intake. I will once again be searching for a new HoYD. So far I've had none that did good enough to earn a contract extension. Board Transfers | Finances We had three major sells this year. Berat Bingol wanted to go and his contract was ending so we shopped him around. All in all I'm happy with the 2.5 we got for him. Furkan Dilek was unhappy about the quallity of the squad and when Napoli came knocking I had to let him go. I managed to squeeze out a deal of 8M. Lastly, Porto keep sponsoring us by taking Yamac Sahin of our hands. A deal that can earn almost 12M was to good to pass up. This means our finances are in a good shape. and so the board has accepted my pleas to increase both our junior coaching as well as our youth recruitment. Our costs for the youth setup are rising quick though. I hope Conference league money is good. because we keep living on transfer income. Next year I want to build on this year. enjoy our time in Europe, and compete again for that last european spot. It will be a few yearrs yet before I can mix in with the top four. First step to get there will be regular european campaigns

Çankaya FK Season Review 2031/2032 On the field Fixtures prt 1 | Fixtures prt 2 Definitely a tale of two halfs. We started well in the league and at one point found ourselves in 4th. Partly this was because some of the better teams had a down year, but also we played better. I knew it would be difficult to maintain the position but to be in contention for european places was great in itselff. then the second half happened. This might be the worst form I've experienced in a save in years, maybe ever. At one point we had one win from our last 14 matches and the relegation spots suddenly seemed much closer. Luckily 3 wins in our last four meant no stress at the end of the season. We eeven had our best season points wise. A very frustrating season nonetheless. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası Another good cup run, rudely ended by Galatasaray. Squad Best player of the Season: Onur Küçük Once again our legacy keeper takes it. Top scorer: Berat Bingöl 26a 10 goals from the RW/ST in what likely will be his last year with us. His contract is up at the end of next season and I think it is time to cash in on him. Young player pf the season: Adnan Özan 30h The youngster took over at LWB and thrived. Youth Intake A slightly worse intake compared to last years. We're starting to get to the point where the top prospects can't slot into the first team anymore within a season. Board Transfers | Finances As suspected Aydin 28a was sold in the summer window. Unfortunately our board decided to intervene with this transfer. I'm fairly certain I'd have gotten a better deal. At the very least i'd have gotten 50% for next sell. We put the money to good use and got two upgrades to our Training facilities Next season. I'm hoping that our first half was representitive of what we can be. I want to push on. We are still predicted to come dead last next season. I'm not sure why. Personly I want a top table finish next season. Losing is starting to get tiresome.

I play on extended mostly. Sometimes comprehensive if i want to focus on tactics. I like portugal. You have a good journey to the top with 4 Tiers and the seasons aren't long in the bottom 2 leagues. And once you are in the top division you have the fun challenge to surpase Porto and Benfica. Turkey is similar (where I manage now) but you have 3 tiers instead of 4

Çankaya FK 2030/2031 Season review On the field Fixtures prt 1 | Fixtures prt 2 As expected we were a bit more inconsistent. Started off well, getting some results. We were one good run away from being able to dream of the european spots. That kind of a season. Instead we hit a minor slump to eventually end up in the same position as last year. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası our first true cup run. We had an easy route to the quarter final and knew that an upset against Galatasaray would mean a 2nd tier team in the Semi's. it was not to be though, we were outclassed 0-3 Squad Best player: Onur Küçük my legacy keeper once again. We have not had a good GK regen come through and I'm fearing the day Onur either declines or retires. Young player of the season and Top scorer: Hasan Cebeci 30c He claimed a spot in the rotation midway through and has done extremely well. 11 goals in 17 starts. And for the first time in this save one of our players is p[art of the Next gen list Yakup Aydin at nr. 40 gets that honour. There has been significant interest for him during the winter window. I'm not sure how no one triggered his release clause. Luckily it expired at the end of the window. I fully expect him to get sold in the summer. Especially now with the next gen list. Intake Oh my Emre. I hope you'll be as good as my HoYD thinks you'll be. A good intake overall as the youth upgrades take effect. Board Finances | Transfers We got another Training facilities upgrade, as wel as the Youth facilities. Though, anoyingly, that one was done just a week after this years intake. and with that we burned through the money we got from the Saim Taşlı 27e deal. With wage costs rising as well as youth setup costs we are reaching the point that we need transfers to keep a healthy club. Worryingly our average attendance has slowly gone down in the past seasons and the sponsership money doesn't increase much either. I'm not sure why but the reputation of this club does not want to rise for some reason. Next season I'd like to see some progress towards the upper part of the table. We are a year older and help is under way in the U-19's

Çankaya FK 2029/2030 Season Review On the Field Fixtures prt 1 | Fixtures prt 2 A solid season of comfortable mediocrity. We were never in danger of relegation nor close to Europe. This gave me the oportunity for the first time to proper rotate and give multiple talents playing time. Ziraat Türkiye Kupası We embarrassed ourselves against 2nd tier Manisa. We had a good comeback to force extra time but promply wasted it again. Squad Player of the season: Yamaç Şahin 29a My unambitious top prospect from last years intake wins it. 7 goals and 10 assists over 29 games played. He played as first backup for all my attacking players and made the most of those opportunities. Top Scorer: Talha Aydemir With 14 goals in 32 games he was back to his old self. With the team around him getting better he had more opportunities to shine and he did. He was key in out succes this year. Unfortunately this is the last season he plays for us. His contract is expiring and he asks for more than I'm willing to spend. Also, he is 32 and now actively blocking talent behind him. Sadly it is time to say goodbye. He was with the team in the 4th tier and with me from tier 3 to the top flight. I think that is a fine carreer and I'll remember him fondly. youth player of the year: Hikmet Genç 27a The revelation of the season. I never Imagined he'd be good enough for the first team. technically the highest rating over the year, but I gave that award to Şahin 29a because he started in way more matches. A typical player to showcase why Physicals ares key in the game. Youth intake Another good intake with Furkan Dilek as the top talent. He will fit right into my CB rotation. Still no good personalities overall. I've found it very challenging to find a good HoYD in Turkey. I think it is because my club reputation is still low. Despite being in the top flight for four years now there are still some 2nd tier teams with a higher reputation than us. Board Finances | Transfers We've had our first big player sell this year. Once again Porto came for our top talent, but this time there was no release clause. I absolutely fleeced them. 7.5 is way more than he is worth and that 50% sell on clause may be worth even more. Go out and develop little guy, i hope you do well. With that money we funded new training facilities as well as Youth facilities. These will be completed early next season. for both it is the first time this save the board agreed to it. No other improvements were made. I'm hesitant to push for more youth recruitment and junior coaching. The amount we spend allready is way more than our regular income can sustain. Next season I'm hoping for more of the same. Besides Talha, more legacy players are leaving now. I have faith in these players, but they are still very young. While I think we will be better next year I suspect we will also be more inconsistent. The boards expectations are still to fight bravely against relegation, so I have room for error, fortunately.
