  1. I have tried the thing suggested in the FAQ, but it still doesn't seem to be working. I don't get an error message, but nothing happens.
  2. Hi, I have recently purchased and installed Football Manager. When I log into steam and click play, I am told that the game is loading, but then nothing happens and it won't appear. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks
  3. I believe that if everything goes to plan, the demo will come out today. I wouldn't take my word as definite though
  4. Yes I agree, but I suppose this game isn't about graphics and so the celebrations would look a little silly in my opinion!
  5. Hi, Every now and again, usually whilst making tactical changes during a game, my game crashes and freezes on that particular screen. I then get a message that pops up on my desktop entitled 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.' I can't read this message though because my screen blacks out and both FM and the message are closed down. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is here? Thanks
  6. because we all put so much effort into the game with training, tactics etc. and then we can't properly appreciate it all in action because of how unrealistic the ME is.
  7. I agree with a lot of the criticism of the match engine, it just ruins a brilliant game for me. The detail within the game is fantastic and I think a lot of aspects of the game have been improved since FM 2012. The perfect scenario would be all of the features of FM 2013, but with the match engine of 2012! 7/10
  8. My point is that these are 'once every 10 years' events, yet like you say you've had 2 in consecutive seasons!
  9. I can't describe how much this thread has amused me hahaha, pure brilliance.
  10. Thanks for your replies, just seems to me that this happens a little too often. Maybe something to think about. Of course we should still celebrate the greatest game on the planet!
  11. I have to say that I love a good comeback, but some of the results that I have witnessed on the game are ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I am completely obsessed by the game and have played it for many years, but surely something has to be done about this aspect of the game. I'll give you a few examples of what has happened: Manchester United 6 - Barcelona 1 (1st leg) Barcelona 7 - Manchester United 0 (2nd leg) Liverpool 3 - Lyon 0 (1st leg) Lyon 5 - Liverpool 0 (2nd leg) Real Madrid 4 - AC Milan 0 (1st leg) AC Milan 6 - Real Madrid 1 (2nd leg) Admittedly, these 'could' happen, but I see this sort of occurence far too often. These results don't always involve myself either (only the top one). Has anyone else had experience of the 'Champions League' curse? Surely the liklihood of these results needs to be reduced from a realistic point of view. Thanks!
  12. You could go for Baines at left back, you have a chance there. Goalkeeper is more difficult, how about Alex Smithies, good young English 'keeper. Other than that, look at getting Foster back.
  13. Sorry if this has been mentioned... conversations with players that you are in negotiations with. For example, as well as offering a contract to the player, you have an informal chat wih him and persuade him using the history of the club or the fans....'you can contribute to our great history'....'or you are the perfect player that our fans adore.' This can then make negotiations less about money, of course this can be affected by the player involved as well. Certain players will be more bothered about these factors than the usual financially motivated players.
  14. Agree with this, also an option for younger players......'you're young, you do have a future at this club, but be patient.' I get 18 year olds complaining because they aren't playing every week
