I'm currently in 2045 in my save and have problems with old club legends. When they are about 30 they are usually on 250-350k per week, their demands suddenly drop and they sign extensions for around 150-200k. By the time these contracts are expiring they are ~35 yo and I offer them extensions. Suddenly they demand star roles and 250-300k again., which doesn't make any sense in my opinion.
Here's my legendary RB who was on ~300k, then on 180k and at 35 years of age demanded 350k. Then he signed a pre-contract with Bayer for 82k:

again, they used to be at 300k or so, then signed for less than 200k and now with 8 months left being 36 years old they demand... 350-425k..
And if I don't give in they will sign with some other team for 30% of that.
Is this a bug?

Thanks SI for ruining my long term "realistic" save with as many leagues and nations as my PC could realistically handle. I'm in 2044 and now suddenly Russian teams will be playing their home games at neutral venues. Absolutely disgraceful meddling with a product I paid money for.

Would love to see a better auto-continue feature implemented in a future release. As is it, I set auto continue after 2 seconds and switch to another monitor to browse/work. The game pauses all the time, goes to the inbox, marking the latest message unread (which is annoying because I haven't actually read it) waits for 2 seconds and processes further. Also new in FM22 is a bug where the game continues while I'm actively switching screens in game!
So what I'd love to see is some sort of a screen flow-like and staff responsibilities screens where you set triggers when to pause processing after you hit continue. For example
Award news - ignore
Need to select players for U23 - pause
Training report - pause
Scouting update - ignore
So I can set it up like I want and after hitting the spacebar the game will run uninterrupted until something important for me happens.

During the game in the bottom left corner there's now a latest event updates window. Is it possible to make it configurable? For example I'm playing in the cup final and the window is just a waste of space.

I got to say thanks to SI for making a major improvement in 22.2 - I play with the left stats and notable events widget open during the match and before the latest update goals appeared immediately in notable events even when there was a VAR check pending. Now it's delayed until after VAR makes the decision.

Hi guys, I need help dealing with DOF. I just had to quit without saving (and lose an hour of progress) because of 2 things. I added 2 players as transfer targets. Both had different results but equally annoying.
1. My DOF negotiates a transfer fee and a contract. Then, despite the responsibility of finalising all signings being on me, the game doesn't let me review what was contract terms were agreed. And in a week or two I get an inbox message saying we signed player X, but I didn't want him for those $! In FM20 it used to stop at confirmation and I had to manually approve everything before the transfer.
2. I ask DOF to buy a youngster. He agrees the fee but then I get this https://i.imgur.com/k8AaCJv.png
Even if I have 50 regens coming to one position - why does he care?? There's literally no way to make him sign this player because he thinks we already have someone coming (we don't).
Please don't say "don't use DOF". Somehow DOFS manage to agree 3x lower wages than me.

So, the player might still have asked for the changes in your 3rd screenshot. Could you go back to an earlier save and try the DOF to suggest the contract again, not make any changes and then see what the player wants? Or have I misunderstood this?
When you delegate the negotiations they are immediate. Once you click the button the game calculates the offer and then in a few days the contract is officially signed. During these days you can either withdraw the offer or change it (or use the latter option to preview what the contract offer was).
In my opening post I mentioned how Trent wanted to go from 350k to 650k, but my DOF managed to extend his contract for 2 years with a 375k wage. Now this contract is expiring in 11 months and he wants 675k so I'll have to let my dof handle another renewal.

So I'm using the TCS skin with some panels from Milla skin because I want player profiles to have as much info as possible. And I got sick of terrible default regen faces and started creating my own faces with the same program SI used for regens in older games like FM15. Wish they'd go back, face variety and realism is so much better.

It works very well but then it's yet another part of the game I have to let AI run which isn't fun for me.
I love to do contract negotiations but hate how they work. Relegating them to DOF is so much cheaper for my club but I then he offers them shorter contracts or adds a yearly 5% wage rise.
Here's my starting LB and I ordered my DOF to extend his contract. Here's a contract offer which is great for me, it's slightly cheaper than his current contract though he's at his peak.

Playing as Liverpool in 2028, constantly struggling with crazy salary demands from players. I've had to let go a lot of players because I refused to satisfy their demands.
Pretty much all club icons/legends were sold or released on a free which sucked. And they all went on to agree to a lower salary than they wanted from me.
I have by far the biggest wage expenditure in the league and probably the world (can't find the screen right now). My 2 highest paid players currently earn £400k per week which already irks me. But now I have 2 players entering the final year of their contracts:
Trent - currently on 350k, asking for 650k!
Regen LW - currently on 72k, asking for 420k! - will have to sell him.
These demands are absolutely insane. On top of that they want 60-100k for each appearance, cleen sheet and a goal.
What do I do to lower their thirst for money?
There used to be a conversation to ask to reduce wage demands but it's not in FM20.

Thank you. 3 forwards being narrow is what I want with fullbacks providing width. But rigidness yes I've noticed it too. I'll try roam from position for IFs?
I made some changes yesterday:
no more offside trap
short GK distribution and no quick distribution
narrower width
lowered tempo to minimum
changed DLP to CM (support) and let him roam from position
less crosses for Wbs (still getting 50+ crosses per game)Less prolific at home but away we've been much better

Thanks guys. To be honest I never really learned much when they added player roles. I always thought it was mostly just presets of personal instructions. So I'm just setting whatever roles make my player have perfectly green circles

Different tactic is a measure I tried since my usual tactic is not really working away from home.
