    I tried the same save, a couple times. Been playing FM since CM days and being from St. Louis, first time I've ever had a chance to manage a 'home team'. But FM just doesn't model the MLS well.

    I started my save with an Icelandic start date that allowed me to start in May 2022 so I had more time to scout. I had to set up series of friendlies mixed with off/on hard pre-season training to keep development going.

    I blundered my way through the drafts, super draft, half dozen trades, a 101 course on general allocation funds.... All to ultimately be disappointed 2 seasons in as I realized the AI knows how to manage in the MLS even less than I do and it became far too easy and I was only looking forward to international games.

    Oh you're right, sorry I was searching for St. Louis to see if anyone made kits for them before I made my own. Saw this post didn't realize it was mobile. I have no idea about mobile.

If you want to play as St Louis City SC and actually participate in the expansion draft etc before the season, you have to jump through a bunch of hoops since SI develops very little between each years games and rarely anything for MLS. Which is a shame because this is one of the few times left that the MLS will have expansion teams added with drafts to create a team from scratch.

     

    In 2022, St Louis SC is in the "Lower Leagues" (not loaded) instead of the MLS, even after the MLS season ends.

    You'll need to create a new game with the below settings:

    Select Team - Make sure you choose St Louis as your team before you create the new game, you can only select a team if you have no custom editor files. You can't join teams in leagues that aren't loaded if you use ANY editor files when you start a new game. You also cannot move your manager there using the in-game editor.

    Start Date - You want to choose a start date that is before December (waiver/expansion drafts), I used the England First Champions League as the starting date, I believe it is September 5th.

     

    Then you can participate in:

    Waiver Draft - Dec 12

    Expansion Draft - Dec 13

    Super Draft - Jan 12

    I was about to make this same request. Show us larger map of the knowledge level map, and make it interactive. Select several countries, choose a scout and select assignments for him. A lot could be enhanced from that point for scouting.

  5. User sliders for AI and match engine

    This I think would be huge, giving the community the ability to customize AI behavior would mean more testing and tweaking than could possibly ever be done in house.

    Sliders to choose how much weight the AI puts onto player age, reputation, skill, and stats for both team selection and transfers.

    Sliders to choose how much weight the match engine gives to club reputation, player morale, current form, etc.

     

    3D kit enhancements

    Currently, we have 2D kits in the UI and 3D kits in the match engine. I'd love to see a preference option to just use the 3D kits entirely, show a 2D representation of them on the club screen so I know it's the same kit for both and I only need a single pack for both.

    At the end of the year, a message from the owner to give input on what color / base design to use for 2nd and 3rd kits.

    For anyone who had played OOTP baseball, would the fog of war/20-80 style of assessing players work better? 

    I think the biggest thing FM could take from OOTP to fix this would be to simply give us, the users, settings to manipulate what the AI values in players. Almost common place for OOTP players who want a more realistic game to move the trade difficulty slider hard and move the slider to make the AI value prospects more.

    If we had sliders to manipulate how much value the AI put on CA/CP, reputation, form, etc then I'm sure the community would do FAR more testing to get a better system in place than any developer could possibly have time to invest in this.
