  1. Well I normally try this challenge every year but give up after a couple of seasons. After never really getting into FM14 this year, i thought that i would give it another shot so that i could try and get back into it before FM15 comes out. Season Review 2013/2014 Well it's the first time I've done this but we won the league first season!! =132863480&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=5"]Final League Table We finished 10 points clear but it could have been so much more!! After the title was wrapped up we dropped points against the lower teams as the players just thought the season was over. Our stand out player was =132863480&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=2"]Nicolo Lolli - who would have got top goal scorer if he wasn't out with an injury for the middle part of the season. Shame that he is only on loan at the club but i will try and sort that out over the summer. The best signing that my scout found was =132863480&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0"]Franco Semioli and I recommend him to anyone thinking of starting this. National Team We didn't disgrace ourselves and much was as to be expected throughout the remaining qualifying games. =132863480&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=4"]Fixtures Was nice to get a win though! My scout at club level has found one possible star for the future in =132863480&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=1"]Federico Benedettini but I'm not holding out much hope on him. Onwards to next season where I hope to not get relegated. I tend to exploit the loan market for the next couple of seasons and the club's financial state is getting worse on a daily basis.
  2. After failing at Ri916's challenge too many times to count, I've decided to start this one with my club Newcastle United with a nationality of Kazakhstan! Here's me. First job is to get rid of that stupid clause in Demba Ba's contract!
  3. Player chosen: Hatem Ben Arfa Goalkeeper chosen: Tim Krul Team kits (Home and Away): Green shirt, black shorts(home) Orange shirt, black shorts (Away)
  4. It didn't come. We finished bottom. 10 points from safety. The dream is over. I don't know what to say. I'm stunned. Now deciding what country to go to next. Still devastated.
  5. Second season syndrome!!! With 4 games to go, I sit bottom of the league 2 points from safety! How has it changed so much from last season?! 11th to last! Hopefully, we will find some form from somewhere!
  6. Yeah I didn't see it coming! I got them to agree to an upgrade in January last season and they were going to spend about 150k and then after the season started they change their mind and went big bucks! Hopefully only good things can come from it!
  7. Thanks TM I'm surprised aswell! not as good so far this season but that may be my fault as i have tinkered with the formation. The board have just spent £1m on new youth facilities that will open in Jan though so hopefully better youngsters next time! Congratulations on your promotion as champuions though!
  8. SV Spakenburg Season Review - 2013/2014 - 1st Season League Not too bad at all! Definitely surpassed my own expectations without pulling up too many trees along the way! Finished 11th, when we were told that we were to go straight back down! we ended up with form that was going up and down all season, winning 5 games in a row and then losing 5 in a row. More consistency needed next season I think! But overal I was very pleased with this season! Cup - 3rd round vs Sparta (a) We were all over them! But the team from the division above were just clinical when it came to scoring! We matched the board's expectations with this though! Youth Intake Lousy. Very. Very. Lousy. The only player with a decent potential (2 1/2 stars, not sure that's decent) is Koen Bann, who will probably be loaned out next season in order to find some games but not sure if he will ever be good enough for me. So he hasn't been given a tag. Finances Surprisingly good! We have been gaining a profit of around 150k to 250k a month. Hopefully this will be built on next season with higher reputation and maybe bigger cup run! Key Players Delano Van Crooy - Not brilliant stats but he pulled out his big performances when we were playing the better teams which really helped us get some unexpected wins and draws. Serhat Koksal - 14 assists and 4 PotM says it all. He really run the show in the middle of the park and at 24 hopefully will keep getting better. Ibad Muhamadu - 11 goals and 8 assists is a great return from the winger, however at 32 years old, surely he will start to decline soon. Serdar Ozturk - 16 goals is a great return for the striker seeing as majority of the season he was made to play on his own. Currently attracting interest from top division side Sparta (remember them? beat us in the cup. I'm starting to not like them) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Season | League | Pos | CL | EL | DC |Notes | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | 2013/14 | Jupiler League | 11th | - | - | 3R |Survived! | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Season I know it may be a bit early for us but I think that anything less than a playoff place will be disappointing. I don't want promotion, just the play-offs! I'm not greedy!
  9. Great season Jambo98! Maybe next season will be the one that takes you up! I have nearly finished my first season with Spakenburg in Holland. Write up should be on later this weekend. Just got through my first youth intake and not one of my players are over 1/2 a star potential! with an already ageing squad, looks like next season could be tough.
  10. I’ve decided to go for a Holland save and as only one team gets promoted, I was kinda stuck with SV Spakenburg!!! Here’s my Profile At the moment, the only staff at the club are me and the Chairman so I will post a screenprint of my players and youths when I have hired an Assistant. We are predicted to finish 18 out of 18 so I am not predicting immediate success. Hopefully, there will be some surprises in store! I think this team may be a struggle as the average age for my squad is between 28-30, this does include a 41 year old keeper on a youth contract. Another bad point is that all my youth squad are greyed out so no youngsters! I may be beginning to regret this! Anyway, wish me luck!
  11. Well it's still early days so I'm still mixing with the youth and experience really. i mean 6 out of the starting x1 don't play for me anymore!
  12. First X1 appearances: 975 Sub appearances: 310 Total Best X1 appearances: 1285
