[FM20/21 - Strange/Weird Managerial Appointments]

Gordon Strachan managing Leicester after they sacked  Brendan seemed odd to me.

I’ve just taken over OM in 2023 after 3 seasons managing in Argentina. I’ll post squad details later, as per OP squad is ageing and budget for next year is £0. Not helped by the fact that a 30 year old Jesse Lingard has already agreed to join the club in the summer in a deal worth £15 million!! 

The club finished 5th last season so we have at least qualified for the European Conference league. 

I’m just sorting out staff before I complete a proper analysis of the squad and look to see who can be moved on.

Hey pal, I’ve actually been to the Town and ground when England played Holland in the Nations League in June 2019. It has a very nice castle and the people were really friendly. That was my reason for doing a save on FM19 👍🙂

I personally would give them another season and see how far you can take them in Europe.

2 seasons then move on.

i had a save on FM19 with Guimares and tapped into Porto, Benficas and Sportings youngsters. You can usually pick up some really cheap players with good ability/potential from their B squads or fringe players from their main squads. Look for players between 21-24.

Thanks both for your replies. It’s not an issue for how I play the game just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a bug. As FrazT mentioned, they are a bit of a chore.

I’m currently managing Leyton Orient in L2. I never get asked to attend pre or post match conferences. I haven’t delegated the responsibility to another staff member. One of the promises I made the board when taking over was to improve media handling but this Is proven a tough challenge.

is this a bug or are a lack of press conferences expected at this level?
