I have played 6 matches in Peruvian Second Division and from 12 shots on goal I conceded 10 goals. Is this normal? AI conversion rate is immense .
Unless your keeper has one leg, no. But you need to ask a tactical question

How can I replicate the movement of spurs under Pochettino in FM24? Basically a 4-2-3-1 where one DM (Dier) moves into back 3 in transition and the right in the top 3 (Eriksen) moves into the double pivot.
I’ve sort of managed it with a AP(s) with trait “comes deep to get ball”, but I would ideally manage it with llayer roles. Any idea?
I think the only way to get that sort of extreme movement would be to play Erikson at DM and trying to get him to move forward and to the right when attacking

Does a lone striker need high teamwork and work rate no mater what role they're playing in?
Work rate is pretty important but Team Work less so if you're wanting him as a goal getter

Start out using the simple roles, so FB, WB, CD, DM, CM etc
Roles are just a tag for a bunch of instructions, so they're not the be all and end all
Once you get to know your players and what they are capable of, then start looking to add the more interesting roles

I've been avoiding the Box formation for a long time but seems I will have to give it a go. How would you set up DMs and WBs in a Box formation?
Something like how you've set yours, looks fine that
Then AM(S)/ AP(S) and AM(A)/ SS(A) with a AF(A)/ P(A) and a DLF(S)/CF(S)

I like it! You could also try out a 2 AM - 2 STR box formation with the two wingbacks providing the width

What issues do you have with it?

I'm not sure how far they go back on Steam, but may be worth checking out a few demos
I always like FM17, I think FM15 was pretty decent too. They feel dated going back and playing those games now though

I do love a 4-4-2 and always found out in FM, that simpler is better so be following with interest
How did no one mention all the whiskey?

I was thinking more long the lines of a 4-2-2-2 Box or a 4-4-2 Diamond, anything without wide attackers

Can someone give me the gist of this thread?

With a 4-2-3-1 DM, I find in FM that play will naturally go down the wings with the wide attackers and wingbacks. With both your both attackers on attack it will emphasise this
I know you don't want to, but changing to a narrow shape can help

Me too, but the manual also suggest that there's a more broad effect ("Be More Expressive increases the overall fluidity score, while Be More Disciplined reduces it.").
Sorry, I'm kinda new and want to know exactly what instructions do so my players don't do anything weird xdHmmm, try it out and see, I can't see it having any effect on centre backs and goal keepers

I've always classed it as affected the final third

also in a 433 in MC? so take on the retraining? Because we don't look so good in a 4231
Yeah, he'd be an AP(S) in a 4-3-3 DM

Exactly what your coaches think @HanziZoloman

The parts that stand out to me that could be stifling your team:
The high press with lots of players getting forward ASAP
- Ultra Narrow width
- Ultra Short passing
- Be more disciplined
- Work ball into box - I hate this TI
- Time wasting
- Dribble less
- Play for set pieces
- Lower Tempo
All negative type TIs, then:
- 7,000 Team Instructions

Could be tactical, players need the space and chances to shoot in the first place so posting your tactic could help identify any chances to try

Fantastic @Mik_Fe, now you have your base tactic

FB better than WB? because the first dont have go forward correct?
FB's tuck inside too which help the team keep the ball
27 minutes ago, Mik_Fe said:why dribble frequently? he dont have dribble more in PI
No, but they dribble, stay wide and get forward more than FBs
27 minutes ago, Mik_Fe said:do you mean WB or playmakers? beacuse in my idea the WB have PI dont risk passes..
Playmakers play risky passes
27 minutes ago, Mik_Fe said:I see that there are some people that knows a lot of this thread, does someone advice me some roles idea to start this project?
because i write my idea but at now i dont understand a lot
I did one here
Could easily be a DLF(A) or CF(A) up front

I would like to know if you can share some setup for this situation. If i remember correctly, this is not your prefered football in the game.
Yeah, I'm not fussed about possession, though I'm sure I did in the 4-3-3 DM thread, I'll have a look but any 4-3-3 with FBs over WBs is a good start
1 hour ago, Mik_Fe said:what do you mean Johnny?
I understaind your idea that I need some players whit risk passes, but not too much, correst? in theory i can put one BPD ( like advice by @CJ_Randell ) one in the midfield like AP and 2 minimun into attack (like IF and forward), I understanid your comment?
But with your experience, which are the best combination of roles, i see the combination of role (pdf file) but i dont find answers... for this reason i put some roles in my theory idea..
Exactly, think about it, 3 playmakers in midfield all looking to play risky passes into space, both wingbacks looking to dribble frequently, they can easily mispass or get tackled
1 -
How about a BBM instead of the CM(A)? The CM(A) will be up with the striker during an attack
0 -
Basically, roles that look to dribble more and take risky passes are more likely to turnover possession, so you have to try & strike a balance across the team. You want players offering an offensive threat and breaking lines but not too many of them

You can add the run wide PIs to the Winger and Wingback @Manunited_fan since they are no longer on by default and they can stretch play
Last 10 game slump my not even be tactical so make sure you regularly check your squad's fatigue levels

I'd make no judgement based on that
I think you could for a hands off type save, focus on the recruitment and training etc, could be fun
