  1. You can always make him the playmaker. I would not consider 33.3 passes per game a nice average. I would play him as a deep laying playmaker in DCM or MC with a support role. I had someone with 50 passes per game in that role. I hope that works for you.
  2. I think I should add that this is my first ever back-to-back promotion ever! Last challenge it took me 6 seasons to get out of BSP. (Pat myself on the back)
  3. Boston United - Blue Square Premier League - 2011/12 Predicted: 23rd Finished: 2nd Table Graph What a season! I was worried for the first couple of weeks. Once my squad got to know each other and I could play a more attacking football things went much better for Boston U. After October I was at the top of the league for the rest of the season. However, it seemed no matter how well I played, wrexham played better. It was a 4 way race for most of the season but Wrexham wouldn't lose. This may have been my best season in FM but it wasn't good enough. Leading up to the playoffs I was still making a push for 1st place. With 5 games left, I was still in the hunt. It came down to the last game when I was 2 points back. However, Wrexham pulled out an easy home win. My star CM Noone got a red card starting me with a disadvantage for the semi finals. The first game of the semi's I dominated but couldn't finish and walked away with a tie. The second game was epic: did not play well the entire game but managed to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. However Dag & Red pulled two back and I was sure we were going to pk's. I brought on Fitz to take a pk and instead he scored a late goal and we were through! We got outplayed in the final but we managed to outscore them again in overtime. This time Super Kyle put in the winner. I chose to focus on promotion so the cup runs were not stellar: Cup - ran into a tough side and was badly beaten. Trophy- most of my subs played in the last game. Personnel I only brought in a few players and felt my squad would do well in BSP and I wasn't wrong. Key players: The two new signings from the summer that came up big: Noone- won the BSP player of the year award and with 20 assists from CM he deserved it. Destroyed teams with his passing. Boyata- Very solid at the back, especially when paired with Gordon Dick. These two allowed me to press opponents very hard without having to worry about defense. I hope that they will stay this effective in League 2! Super Kyle and Declan Bunting both scored over 30 goals for me this season and were very solid upfront. I wanted to work Fitzpatrick in but the others were too good for him to get much work. Career Overview Season League Position Achievements -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2010/11 Blue Square North 3rd Promoted Via Play-Offs 2011/12 Blue Square Premier 2nd Promoted Via Play-Offs Next Season I am looking forward to higher salaries. I can barely manage the team I have with 17 players. I need help on the right wing and perhaps a replacement for Nick Main. My goal for next year is to make another promotion challenge!
  4. Boston United - Season 1 - ChemistAndy Preseason prediction: 15th Final position: 3rd Promoted in the first season! The first time I have done that! Brought in a lot of transfers especially from the Rangers and Celtic. Also tried something new this year and went out and got super Kyle. With all of the new players coming in the squad took some time to gel. The early days of the season were very rough. I also lost early in each of the cups. Starting in November I went on a run of good form which had me flirting with the top of the table. This came about when I realized that my team was much better than most in the league and started attacking more. However, many of my players did not have good natural fitness and started to have problems late in the season. With 4 games to go I was pretty sure that I wasn't going to challenge for the champion spot and started resting players for the playoffs. After a tense semifinal we destroyed Chester in the Final. Goal for next season is promotion, I think with a few additions this will be possible. Final Table Squad Finances Cup Results: FA Cup FA Trophy Best players Nick Main Gordon Dick Grant Adam Season League Position Achievements ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2010/11 Blue Square North 3rd Promoted through playoffs
  5. I played this challenge last year and this is my biggest cup win in two years. Fitzharris is looking to be an amazing striker scoring four in this match and 9 in 5 starts.
  6. Ready to start the challenge again. I decided to play as Boston as they have a youth academy. I believe that will make things easier but oh well. Here is my profile.
  7. I am having problems with the torrent links in the downloads of the demo. Server always times out. Is it just very busy?
  8. Funbags, Check you field type. I noticed in BSP that most teams have narrow fields so I switched my field to a narrow one and tweaked my tactics until it worked. It has helped a lot with my away form. Most of the premiership teams have larger fields because their players are good enough to utilize the whole thing. And it would make sense to play differently on different types of fields.
  9. Oxford City 09/10 Season BSS Squad- I got killed by injuries this year. I think I only had about 3 weeks in the beginning where everyone was healthy I had 7 starters injured at one point in the season! transfers- Brought in a bunch of people, not all will be staying with the club League- Started out alright and reached as high as 4th. Then I started getting cute, I thought my team was better than they are and we started loosing. I got it together towards the end and finished a respectable 11th. finances- Bad, this will be a focus for next year competitions-not a good year. I am going to make this a focus for next season as we need to make some more money. Goals for next season: -Improve the staff if I can -Find a striker who can score -Improve overall depth especially in midfield -Hopefully find a new keeper
  10. open your ddt file with textEdit. Everything should be surrounded by quotes "". If it has some funny character, you have to change all of them to quotes. If this is the case, let me know and we can let dafuge know that there is a problem with the standard ddt.
  11. Finally starting up! Here is the new boss of Witton Albion! I had to force a takeover because my game does not work properly!
  12. HELP! When I load up the game with the DDT file all of the teams that get newly promoted to BSN/BSS already have coaches. I usually only get one choice of job (Boston Utd). Is it alright to just forcibly take over one of the newly promoted squads? Other people have had this problem but it has not been resolved, is this a bug?
  13. After I holiday and select a team, it loads a bunch of players but none of them have contracts, they are all gray. Is this supposed to happen? Is my DDT file working?
