The FMUpdate FM24 Transfer Update

This is the FMUpdate, the best and most comprehensive data update for Football Manager 2024. Our aim is to make Football Manager more realistic by processing transfers, adding new leagues and editing all kinds of errors in the original database. With more than 400.000 downloads our update was the most downloaded and used data update in the Football Manager community for the FM23 season.
Release schedule
Our aim is to release a new update on the first of each month. During transfer windows we could choose to release an extra update, but our main focus will remain monthly updates as we feel weekly updates or updates per 10 days aren't ideal for users.

How to install
- Download the zipped file
- Unzip the contents of the folder using an unpacking software tool like 7Zip of Winrar
- Place The Football Manager Update and other files in \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\editor data
- Remove old versions of the update pack! (Very important)
- Start Football Manager 2024 and start a new career (Update is made for Original Game Mode)
- When selecting your database files, make sure the editor files you want to use are all ticked.
- Continue to Advanced Settings
- Once you have selected your Nations & Leagues you can start your game.
Is the FMUpdate compatible with other add-ons?
Yes, it is. Our base file only has database changes and will not alter league structures or change rules. However, we also add new players to our base file. If you use add-ons that will add players and wonderkids it is possible that you will encounter double players.

The Football Manager Update - Final version

This is our final FMUpdate for the FM2023 season. After a long year of editing, this is the ultimate update to use in Football Manager 2023! With more than 3.000 changes compared to our previous update, this is the largest update we have made this year!

I see Red ! when starting a new save
When you see red ! when selecting nations it is because you have incompatible or double add-ons loaded. Close FM23 down and remove old versions and/or other updates. Restart FM23 and try again.It doesn't work on MAC
It does work on MAC, you simply need to find the correct installation folder:Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive - IMPORTANT! By default this folder is hidden

This is the first version of of our major transfer deadline update! We have been working on this update for weeks and we can honestly say that this is our best update this year. With over 15.000 new changes compared to the previous update, this is the one you have been waiting for!

This is the third version of The FMUpdate and will update your FM23 with the latest transfers and other changes from all around the world.

Our new league formats for Belgium, France and Switzerland have been made compatible with the FMUpdate V3. We have seen that FM is changing our edits to the European rosters. Meaning, there are some teams that will switch during loading. This will remove the long breaks between November and December in the national leagues across the world. With these files the national leagues and European competitions will schedule their matches normally.
DELETE Older Versions
It is important to delete the older versions of our update before you start a new save. We have seen that too many update files could still corrupt your game, even if you don't use them. Released on: July 17th 2023 - Includes 68277 changes
This is the V2 Hotfix for the FMUpdate 23/24! After some feedback from our members we have decided to release a hotfix to solve some troubles with the English leagues.In this release you will find:
- Promotion & Relegation updates (Austria)
- Edits on the European roster (see below)

Every FM when it got database updates you could select the database you wanted to use, even if you have files from the pre-game editor you want to use to override the database. My issue is not with the editor file but with the database version that is always 23.0.0. The game was already updated several times and still it steam isn't updating my game to the latest database released. Or am i misunderstanding?

There hasnt been an official update for the database yet, so 23.0.0 is the only available one. That will change when SI release the official patch in March.

Hi. this update won't change the database number. Go back to this screen and tick The Football Manager Update 23.4.1 and press confirm. Now go to advanced settings and start a new save as normal. After it has loaded you will the winter transfers as expected

This is the February window update of The Football Manager Update for Football Manager 2023! This update adresses more than 87.000 changes to the original FM23 database.
FMU 23.4.1 Headline feature
This is the second update that concentrates on the winter transfer window. After our first update that concentrated on the big leagues, we have now concentrated on leagues that have recently closed the transfer window.
In this update ALL leagues from our previous update (see here which ones) have been updated as well and covers all transfers up to February 14th.

It is the end date when setting a loan. Standard input is May 31st but that is typically a British end date. 99% of European loan dates are June 30th...
Is it possible to make June 30th the standard instead of May 31st?

This is the big January Window update of The Football Manager Update for Football Manager 2023! This update adresses more than 80.000 changes to the original FM23 database.
FMU 23.4 Headline feature
This update concentrates on the January winter window and has fully completed leagues in terms of transfers, loans and other changes. 51 leagues have been fully editted and have been fully updated with the latest transfers until Feb 1st. Another 25-30 leagues have been editted, but have not been fully completed. These are mainly leagues from smaller nations or lower leagues from several nations.

No, the Ajax staff and Flick are added in our Transfer File. We added these before we decided to split the files into a transfer and seperate created player file.

There are no future transfers set, we complete the transfers directly just like SI does. If you are using the name fix from MTF than you wont need ours no.
