the best thing TFF can do now is get back to making the tactics that made him, and we will see if the down/up voting effected his tactics

Ingame see the Analysis tab what tactic the opposing team plays. Heres my new found experience:
If the quite equal or stronger opponent plays Positive, you counter it with Cautious.
If the quite equal or stronger opponent plays Attacking, you counter it with Defensive.
If the quite equal or stronger opponent plays defensive/cautious, you counter it with Cautious or Balanced to not get countered on yourself too much.
If the opponent is alot weaker CA etc probably matters more then mentality for the outcome and attacking might do the job most of the time.
(NOTE: As you know good team performance also requires team cohesion, good players, good morale and game management. Also vs teams alot stronger like many levels of better attributes in average winning will be very hard no matter mentality. Choosing a fitting mentality might help a little tho)

Used Beowulf 424 in most games (switched to 442 only for protecting a lead in difficult matches) and has been the most successful tactic probably in the last 10 years of FM for me. Wanted to try the 343 but really I'm waiting for next patch to play FM again as this ME is often hard to watch. Corner kicks are out of control, though probably a consequence of other core issues. A dominating tactic nonetheless!

For example I am playing Ezgjan Alioski from Leeds who is a winger in the Poacher role in the front 3 so have set him to learn that role. I think for underdogs it's better to use only the control one, but if you've got a top team the attacking & control mix kills everything.
