Yes, I think I actually managed to fix it now. I just delete the final and semi finale and added the two stages manually. Looks to be good now. Still have no idea why it didn't work the first time - I basically did the exact same thing Thanks for the help!

Everything seems fine up until the final when i simulate the editor data ingame: 1st Group stage = 32 teams 2nd Group stage = 16 teams Quarter finals = 8 teams Semi finals = 4 teams [Final not showing up]

Hi, I have modified the champions league format (in advanced rules) to correspond with the format used between 2000-2003. Everything works fine, but for some reason the final won't start - which again results in the next CL season not startin as well. Please find the editor file attached. Any help is highly appreaciated! Been working on this for a couple of day without figuring it out myself. CL two stages 4 (verified).fmf

I managed to find a solution (I forgot to change the ranking in the qualifying rounds (wich of course had to be changed when I added the second group stage). I do now, however, have a new error message:

I can try to show the problem to you: Data from a save file with the database: Chelsea finished in 3rd place in 2021/22, but with the database they participate in Europa League rather than the Champions League: Are you able to solve the problem? Thank you for your reply! I will take a look at it at once : ) I tried the editor data that you linked, but it had an error which resulted in the 3rd and 4th place finished teams like Juventus, Chelsea and Spurs etc. were qualified for UEL rather than UCL. Thanks! Per

Hi all! Really hope there are some editor gurus who can help me with a little advanced rules problem. Take note that I am a noob with the editor. Introduction: I started really enjoying football during the early 2000s and was especially interested in the champions league, and loved the historical format with two group stages. Problem: Based on the editor work from V2023 where the new 2024 format is removed, I tried to make my own changes to the current champions league format in order to add an additional group stage to replace the round of 16. My only changes are these: 1) Changed the “stages” from A to B. Effectively replacing the round of 16 with a secondary group stage: 2) Made the following ranking schedule (no changes to the qualifying rounds # of teams): This is the error message I get when I test the rules: No new format 2 stages.fmf

Hmmm, I did change the nation's ranking/reputation, but that did not fix the problem. Could the problem perhaps be that the qualification structure has been changed? If the "best placed -route" of the qualificiation is removed, perhaps that results in the 3rd and 4th places finishing teams from the big leagues are moved to UEL rather than CL? I'm really clueless on how to use the editor - especially the advanced rules. Any help is greatly appreciated! : )

Thanks again for your quick reply and upload! : ) Unfortunately, it does not apprear to have fixed the problem i mentioned above? Clubs that finish their leagues in 3rd and 4th positiion does not enter Champions league (like Juventus, Chelseas, Tottenham etc.) Hope you find a solution to this problem. Best regards Per

Thank you for this database - it is awesome! I just noticed one bug: It seems like some of the teams that were supposed to be qualified from their 3rd and 4th place finishes in their respective leagues are not qualified (i.e. Chelsea, Barcelona, Tottenham and Juventus). Is this something you could fix? : ) Best regards Per
