  1. This pack includes updates and changes to the Japanese players, staff and clubs etc. included in the 24.0.0 default database up to around early September 2023.

The Japan National Team, as well as all of the 18 clubs in the J1 and J2 teams with higher reputation (more than half) are covered in the current version. Apart from the foreign players that have been missing in the default database (i.e. Juan Mata, Gaku Shibasaki, Bafetimbi Gomis to name a few), several domestic J1 players have also been added as they have signed a full “A” pro contract during the 2023 season.

This version should be sufficient for running Japan as a background league. If you want to run J-League as a fully playable league, you should wait till the next version (which will cover all J-League teams and possibly JFL teams and other lower league teams with a valid J-League licence). No concrete release date for the next version but hopefully I can finish that off within the next few weeks.

For cutout faces of the created players, you may "SORT IT OUT" by using some wisdom...

  2. I'm only interested in managing English or Scottish clubs so my setup using the default database:-

English (down to tier 6), Scotland (down to tier 4) and first two divisions of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain in a large database with all players based in the UK loaded, this gives roughly 75k players to start with.

When the English 10-tier league structure is out after a month or two after the game release, I'll usually pick a tier-8 club to start a LLM career.

  3. A must to follow given I'm from HK. IRL the Rangers are one of the most long-established senior clubs, though quite a yo-yo club in the last two decades as it heavily depends on sponsorships for staying alive. It therefore positions itself as a pipeline for quality young players (which means youth intake at nearly no cost!), with a few washed out veterans signed up every offseason to keep the ball rolling.

FM Touch/Classic re-kindled my love for FM/CM. Been a player since CM Italia in the early 90's but life started getting in the way and I couldn't devote as much time and keep up as the depth increased. Classic mode was an absolute God send as I've never been fussed for press conferences etc. Transfers and tactics are the things I like most and I can do both of those in FMT.

The only downside was when it went from Classic to Touch and custom databases stopped working. That is a big shame and limits the shelf life for me. The game is released November, official update in February and then it's out of date in May when the leagues finish, promotions/relegations and the transfer window opens. So for a game with a new version every year, it is only playable for me for 6~7 months of the year.

This time of year I switch to the full-game, grab a transfer update and play until the new Touch is released.

I know there is cross-play considerations (and probably the in-game purchases) but @Marc Vaughanif you are reading, please consider separating the PC/Mac versions from Tablets and let us use transfer updates!

Absolutely with you. The only main thing that I really want to see in FMT is the editing function.

@johnlochDo you mean the teams & competition logos into one config? Or did you mean the logos & cities into one pack?

The first probably isn't too difficult to do, the second might be as the size of the files starts getting large when adding in the cities, which could be a problem for some & if anyone wants to use only part of a pack, then they'd have to either delete bits or comment out configs - I'll have a think about creating some kind of combined pack (with possibly stadiums added as well - I've started to collate exterior shots from Google Earth (not quite the same as found in the Megapack on another forum) of each stadium down to level 11 - it's around 1500 stadiums to do I think - and then I'll move on to interiors) but that will be a way off. Ideally I'd like to collate a master set of logos (outside of those found in the default DB), city and stadium pics for England and then just have a set of configs that can be used for the DB that has been chosen (i.e. one for Messi, one for Dan, one for BoyInGreen) - more a long term goal I think.

@AhMostyn, I mean the first one. Seems if put the two logos packs together, some of the logos that are contained in the first pack would not show up (e.g. Isle of Man FC). I've checked the config.xml of the second pack - seems those logos which are overlapped with the first pack can't be displayed properly. I had to manually move and edit the config.xml to make it works.

Thank you for this amazing file! If it's possible there's a few things that could be updated. Firstly for Clapton (5100221), they no longer play at the Old Spotted Dog, but groundshare with Athletic Newham at the Terence McMillan Stadium. Clapton Community (2000066525) now own the Old Spotted Dog, and will move back there for the start of the 21-22 season. They should probably be called "Clapton CFC" as a short name, and are also fan-owned. They should have a high attendance for their level - their record is 1,266 and they regularly get a few hundred. Their supporter profile should be low-affluence but likely a 20 for passion - they're a group of far-left ultras who started supporting the original Clapton in 2012 after becoming disillusioned with modern football, singing/jumping/drinking all game with flares and fireworks, but set up Clapton Community after a severe fall-out with the club's owner. As a result, I'd also have the two clubs set as fierce rivals.

Thanks for sharing this, mate. I really like this true colours-kind of background. Decision made for my next lower league journey!
