  1. AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, SO FRUSTRATED WITH THIS. These forums are an absolute mess and are giving me a headache trying to navigate around, the first post of this thread is great but when you get past those problems there's no guidance as to where to go next. Any advice given by mods quickly gets lost, this advice/help needs to be stickied like the first post. No-one from Sega/Si has bothered responding to my request in here or on the technical forum for 48 hours. FM09 still works for me through steam but crashes every other match and is incredibly slow. When I try in windows mode it just crashes. I've downloaded everything I can find on these forums to download, but still no joy when it comes to FM09. I bought this game Friday, spent the whole of Fri/Sat/Sun trying to activate it, download updates and struggle through a handful of weeks playing the game. From what I've seen of the game so far, I can't see any improvements apart from the Assistant Manager's role. I've then spent Monday evening and tonight trawling through these forums trying to find answers to my questions to no avail. PLEASE, PLEASE, someone from Si/Sega sort this all out before I and probably many others just give up and take the game back. Peter
  2. How do you get someone from Si/Sega to reply to you or ackowledge your posts? Peter
  3. I guess (hope) my messages are just being missed in the rush and not being ignored 3rd tme lucky on here. I was playing the game (slowly) via steam, I changed it to play in windows but when I load I get "fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." The data error signature is "AppName: fm.exe AppVer 9.1.0.26064 ModName: fm.exe ModVer:9.1.0.26064 Offset 00fdc281" For the record, Friday was spent initiallizing, Saturday and Sunday spent upgrading/trawling these forums for clues on how to get through all the errors, not impressed thus far. Peter
  4. Posted this on the known issues yesterday but yet to get a reply I was playing the game (slowly) via steam, I changed it to play in windows but when I load I get "fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." The data error signature is "AppName: fm.exe AppVer 9.1.0.26064 ModName: fm.exe ModVer:9.1.0.26064 Offset 00fdc281" Any help greatly appreciated, Peter
  5. From 11pm last night, message 1317 - haven't received a reply! I'm presuming it is error 281?!? I was playing the game (slowly) via steam, I have changed it to play in windows but when I load I get "fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." The data error signature is "AppName: fm.exe AppVer 9.1.0.26064 ModName: fm.exe ModVer:9.1.0.26064 Offset 00fdc281" Does that mean I have error 281, if so I'll do all it states on P1, if not can you PM what I have to do now please? Thanks in advance Peter

  7. Thanks, the screenshot was posted as I was typing. Peter
  8. I've tried typing "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" --small_screen --windowed and "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -windowed -small_screen into the Target field, but neither have "ungreyed" the windows choice in options. I have the disc, but am loading via Steam, do I have to do something within Steam to get this working properly. Any help greatly appreciated. Peter
