We've just knocked Blackburn out of the FA Cup, and apparently Jerome Asselas "always loves seeing us get one over on Blackburn Rovers" - the last win was in 1982, 40 years ago - in fact they've only ever played each other 16 times in the history of football.
Is Jerome aware of some ancient fierce rivalry that I'm not?
Or mostly likely, the social feed needs a little work.

It's been said countless times already but I've hammered this game for the last couple of days and the long balls over the top are sapping the fun & life out of enjoyment as you literally cannot defend it - it needs patching, and fast.

Wrexham: Season 2 (23/24) - Start

Much busier window than I expected, started off slow when a number of my top targets chose other clubs but cracked it when I got 3x important loans done in five days: Bellingham, McAtee and Ferguson.Decided there was enough quality available on a free and loans, so avoided spending any money at all, so finances are healthy too. Also helped by selling a couple of players I picked up last season like, Ryan Cassidy (signed for free, sold for £130,000), John Bostock (signed for free, sold for £50,000), Joe Hilton (signed for £3,000, sold for £51,000) and Mungo Bridge (signed for free, sold for £120,000) plus some loan fees for three talented youngsters I picked up from the Premier League release list.
Mungo Bridge I'd highly recommend picking up in season one, I only sold him as I was offered good money after he broke his leg and was out for 9 months, which hampered him.
For this season, Sean Morrison came in to partner Tom Anderson at centre back, both leaders with good determination giving us a sold base to build from with Nathan Smith arriving as third choice. Matt Penney and Adam Lewis arrived for left back, replacing Mungo Bridge and Callum McFadzean (who seemed to have an amazing ability for giving possession away). Right-back is still an issue, but Harry Clarke will provide cover this season. Allan McGregor came in for one season to play back-up to number one Jamal Blackman. In midfield we added Ethan Hamilton and Josh Scowen plus the loan arrivals of Jobe Bellingham and James McAtee. Finally Lyle Taylor and Evan Ferguson (loan) complete the attack.
One week trials at these levels are amazing too
I like a big squad, so this will offer me more freedom to switch between my 4-4-2 diamond and 4-2-3-1 inside forward tactics, depending opposition.
We also had a decent youth intake, with Paul Davies being the stand-out prospect, in a position we were lacking in too, so he's training and being mentored with the senior team and will get a few minutes throughout the season. Determined charactered with 18 determination, (16 flair a bonus!) - love to see it
That leaves the squad looking like this, as I look for instant promotion from League Two in to League One:
I've also made some improvement to the youth facilities, and set-up a Senior Affiliate with Aston Villa.

If you make it into League Two in season two, then loan a striker called Evan Ferguson, my God, he's that good he's benching Paul Mullin

In England (I'm in League Two) if you sign a player on a FREE, outside the transfer window, can you not registered him to play until the next window?

Wrexham: Season 1 (22/23) - Complete
Season 1 done, took me longer than planned as life's been so busy, but finished up last night.
Vanarama National League:
Dominated the league as most have, 119 points, 132 goals scored - would have been more but played youth in the last 6 games to give them a run out.
Paul Mullin is a cheat, 42 league goals in total with 52 in 50 games overall.
I'd advise everyone to pick up Adam Wharton on loan too from Blackburn, he's a top player at this level in central midfield.
Emirates FA Cup:
FA Cup run wasn't great, I was a little disappointed to draw Sheffield Wednesday (A) in Second Round, was hoping to make the Third round at least - we took the lead and looked good before Matt Smith bullied us
Isuzu FA Trophy:
Again, disappointed exiting another cup early, this time to Torquay (A) in the fourth round - I actually thought we were good for a win, but wasn't to be.
Season Review:
As we move up into League Two, we have some very good players however there are a lot of issues I'd like to address;
> The Goalkeepers are not great, we need a a new number 1
> Starting fullbacks need addressing
> A new partner at CB for Tom Anderson
> Need a stronger set-piece delivery expert to maximise corners & free-kick situations
> Add 2x wingers/inside forwards to allow me to play my second tactic more often
> I want to change the personality of the team, bringing in more determined/professional players with better teamwork, pace & stamina
We currently have a budget of £130,000k plus around £25k in wages available to achieve this and I've just accepted a bid of £170,000 for Ryan Cassidy whilst trying to shop off a couple of fringe players. Also looking for a senior affiliate for some loan players.

This doesn't make sense to me, am I reading this wrong or is it a bug?
FREE TRANSFER > The board are disappointed... This is mainly due to the club paying over the odds for the player.
How can you pay over the odds for something that's free?
Also: "Far too many goals have been conceded"
But I've conceded just 24 goals so far this season - the lowest in the league by some distance.
There's defo some disconnect/contradiction within the club vision tab, which makes me wonder how effective it is...

My feedback would be that for immersion at all levels of the game, these need to be more accurate. If this is a HUGE job, then open it up and allow the community to help...

Also when you go out of Scouting Coverage and then back in, it resets to "Scouting Pool" like I've never confirmed it before:

Small bit of feedback, but I know reducing the Inbox is always something that strived for, but you could start by reducing the amount of duplication in language, here is an example of an Inbox Item which has the league name repeated 6 times - only a small thing, but housekeeping/decluttering would help simplify the Inbox experience and reduce repetitive noise:

Right, I'm in, fully invested...
Been a while since I've done a save this low in England (maybe 5 years?) so took me a while to get back to grips with it, but I've brought some staff in first on 1-2 year contracts as the staffing isn't great, plus they start with zero scouts, most notibly I've brought in:
Julian Dicks (Coach)
Luke Walker (Head Physio)
Tommy Miller (Chief Scout)
Erwin Vandenbergh (Scout)
Kevin Paton (Scout)
Joseph Simmonds (Scout)
Anwar Uddin (U18s Manager)
Spencer Prior (U2s Manager)
In terms of Transfers, I've not spent much, just put more into wages to sign some very good free transfers, only player I've spent money on so far is Joe Hilton for £3,000 - leaving me with £158,896 left in my budget:
I'm only a few games in but Danny Simpson has been incredible, 2 goal and 2 assists in his first 3 games from right-back and Adam Wharton on loan is brilliant at this level for DM.
That leaves me with a set-up like this:

Jesus, what a graft that was, that just isn't right, it should just give the option of "NONE" within the hand/finger section for both left & right:4 -
This is small but it's doing my head in, how do I remove the ring off my avatar's right hand?!
I've selected a left hand ring (wedding finger) but for some reason there's two on the right hand too!
EDIT: now I've selected NONE and there's a ring on both hands on the picture - is this bugged, or some of the worst UI we've ever witnessed?

Yeah looks like a coding error, I don’t keep my backgrounds in the skins folder (like you have) so not sure I can help any further

Couple of my mates said they’re able to make 5 subs in home games but only 3 subs in away games, in the Premier League, is this a known bug or likely to be some third party file they’ve downloaded?

Folders are the same as downloaded from Page1 here. I've only added code for FMT stadiums in the fixtures tab but that shouldn't impact it.
Not sure I understand what you are trying to achieve - do you just want one background image, that's on every screen in the game?
