  1. IMO all the wages should be put into one category. It totally ruins the experience of playing a lower league teams because you can't sign decent coaches even if they actually wanted to sign. I guess many teams pay huge wages to their important coaches IRL (better than the players I think) but in the game you can't sign an average coach for lower reputation team and with that I mean best teams for example in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe just because you can't afford to offer them anything above 750€/week while "the wage budget" is like 100 000€/week and 35% of it remains unused...
  2. In my opinion morale should be linked more with teams overall performance and not just down a few games(or sometimes like 1 or 2 game which could crash the morale totally). For example this season's Newcastle United...in FM their morale should be all dead by now due to their ups and downs from game to game. They've been very inconsistent(well it's just their style it seems) but the team have performed very well as overall and their morale and team spirit is sky high. One or two bad games wouldn't drop their morale IRL as it would in FM because they are still playing well above expectations(stay clear of relegation which was set before the season). Teams like Aston Villa or even Everton would be another case...they were expected to be fighting for TOP6 places and they are not even close to that which definitely kills the morale. Well my point is that game perfomance shouldn't be linked so much to the morale! It should be more down to players ability and tactics(I'd prefer the latter) and it could be fine tuned with morale! There's no way lower league teams would beat let's say Liverpool like 4 times out of 10 games in normal circumstances which is very much possible in the game.
  3. Better attribute masking! Or at least possibility to choose it on a larger scale. IRL you wouldn't know every players all 36 visible attributes just by scouting him once max twice as it's very hard for managers to know their own players good enough. Maybe excluding high reputation and world class stars. For example consistency can be found out only by playing players! It's just too easy to build a great team in the current version of FM IMO... Scouting and using star ratings doesn't really matter either as it's mostly the attributes that matter how good a player really is. You should really scout a player for lots of matches and training periods(at least 10 I think) to get his all attributes visible. I think star rating and attributes could be made better by kinda merging them. First a scout should give you very overall picture of a player maybe with some star rating(not exact of course) and a few key attributes for his playing positions which might not be totally accurate of course! To get a full picture of player's ability they should be kept scouted for a longer period or just bought(which wouldn't actually brought out his full attributes but only after a few weeks training) so there would be much more hits of misses which actually happens in the transfers markets a lot IRL. At the moment it's very easy to find very good players who instantly fits in very well

  5. I can't create **** when playing as a massive favourite. Underdogs are dominating possession and scoring pretty much from their only attack...especially at home I can't do any harm to any defences. My players seem very stupid and slow with the ball and only shooting from long range. Even when the odds are like 1.17 for me and I'm playing full attacking style it's looks like too easy to defend against and every time I lose possession opponents create something dangerous. The weaker the opponent the worse the results get! It's the same when I'm an underdog going to a game against major favourite...I always seem to get a result but I score from my only chance while opponent keep on missing even the easiest chances. It's not tactics as I'm aware what I should be doing and how to set up my team and I did pretty good in FM10 but now it seems just mission impossible! Anyone experiencing the same? My scoring ratio is well below 1,00 per game although I'm playing very attacking style with decent teams like Charlton and RBC
  6. This plus add there their general clumsiness... Most of the time they charge for the ball and somehow let it slip past them and allow the opponent just to put it into an open net! I rarely see keepers even come for the ball and try to block it when an opponent is one on one against the keeper which is what happens pretty much every time IRL. Generally keepers movement requires a lot of improvement IMO.
  7. I noticed that when you give your centrebacks an instruction to show opponents(forwards especially) onto his weaker foot it always leaves huge gaps in defence which they'll always take advantage of...since I totally dropped this instruction against forwards things suddenly improved and my defence looks a lot better indeed! I'll never use any special instruction against opponents strikers and itäs going very well so far... Anyone else noticed this bug or whatever it is?
  8. I'm pretty much stuck at the moment as I need to register a squad for the Euro League for Heerenveen and I'm not able to pick 4 players trained by the club as most of them are out on loan at my affiliate team Emmen and cannot be recalled. I have just 2 "home grown player at the club" available for selection so it's impossible to continue the game! Is this a bug or something? Because the game says I do not need to register players below the age of 21...do I really need to restart the game all over?
  9. I totally understand why teams don't sell their best prospects for cheap but why players valuation is so low? IMO it should be closer to the potential transfer fee to get a better picture of his actual fee when considering a bid. Or at least clubs should be telling a possible fee they would consider as it's very stupid that players valuation is like 5millions and you need to bid at least like 20 to get him!
  10. Well...that's quite close to the reality. Given really can't distribute the ball at all but constantly make fantastic reflex saves IRL
  11. Definitely not going to buy it! So many bugs in the match engine although it has some potential(after a few patches)... I'm waiting for FML and won't buy FM09 until it's properly fixed as at the very moment I'm totally "unimpressed" with it...so few new features as it actually looks more like a patch itself than a new game. I haven't really tried the new transfer system yet but the 3D is the only "new" feature in the game and as it's full of bugs I think I'll stick with FML
  12. Another funny but extremely frustrating thing was to see when my defender collected the ball and turned towards the own goal just to pass the ball back to the keeper! Wow and what happened...player made rather easy pass to the keeper(not straight at him though) and Fraser Forster(loan at Lincoln...supposed to great keeper at that level) just decided to stand still and watch the ball rolling into an own net rather than doing anything at all to stop that! The keeper bug should definitely be fixed before the release or the game is totally unplayable! Can't see it happening though... Another thing(I know it's just the 1st version of the 3D engine) is that the players generally look very very stupid on the pitch! There are some good looking plays but most of the passes are horribly wrong. Players can't pass like 5 meters successfully or they'll pass the ball to a guy under pressure. And why are they(just like keepers) standing still so long and just wait for a challenge to come in? IRL...the ball actually never stop moving nor the players near the ball:thdn:
