Over the years I have watched 100's of videos and read many forum posts about Football Manager. In some of these I have seen people say that we should ignore various aspects of the game, like Staff recommendation's, Additional Focus in training and other spurious stuff. Can anyone give me a clear indication as to which stuff to ignore because it has no proven effect on players or tactics etc?

Is there anyway to train players to be better at staying onside? My strikers are getting offside regularly and I cannot work out how to stop them doing that.

What causes the downwards, pointing orange arrows that appear in a players list of attributes, and how can they be reversed?

I expected to see grey players, but there are no players at all showing in my U18 squad.

Why has my DoF signed a U18 Assistant Manager and why are their U18 games being played when I don't even have an U18 team? I got rid of all the U18's at the beginning of the save/

Hi guys, can anyone recommend a skin with Instant result please?

I am having a problem too in trying to sign players for my Tier 10 team. The problem I have is that every player I try to sign wants an appearance fee that my Board will not agree to. I offer them every thing I can, but they won't change their stance on the Appearance Fee amount, and neither will the board. How do I get around this?

Does that include Tier 9?

Can anyone tell me if there is a Tier 9 English database and if so, where can I find it and download it into FM23?

Hi, I would like to know if there is any way I can play as my local team who are in the NCEL Premier Division. I know it's not possible in the game as it stands, but is there any mod available that makes this possible? Thank you.

I have downloaded this tactic, 587f5be6b2d9b_442DiegoSimeoneStrikerless_3F30D31F-2F33-4429-8D1F-3080234EBB47.fmfand put it into the Tactics folder via Documents/SportsInteractive/FootballManager 2023/Tactics but it doesn't app587f5be6b2d9b_442DiegoSimeoneStrikerless_3F30D31F-2F33-4429-8D1F-3080234EBB47.fmfear in the Tactics in-game. Any help please?

Ok, so I bought a new computer recently, it'd a high end desktop, but I have a problem when trying to d/l a tactic to FM22. When I try to d/l it to the game, it says there is no FMF files, what programme do I want to open it with? So I had no idea from the selection they displayed, so picked Notepad, only that didn't work either. Now when I try to d,l the tactic I want, it just puts it into notepad which doesn't work, and I don't know how to change it. I have been playing this game since 1993 and have never come across this problem before. Hopefully someone can advise me on what my next step will be. Thank you.

Like many others here I have played Football Manager right back to Champ Man on my Amiga 1200. I have bought every copy since and will continue to do so till my dying day or until my eyesight gets so bad I can not play games on a PC any more.

I have a young player who has a 'thumbs down' for Sharpness. If I try to select him for a match I am advised by my backroom staff that he shouldn't play because of his lack of Sharpness. So how am I supposed to get him sharp again?
