  1. This so much. I can't count the amount of times my star players have been unsettled by continous scouting from PSG/Man City etc. only to end up wanting to leave for some weird reason. I'm managing Real Madrid, highest rep club and everybody's happy in general. I've raised the issue in the bug tracker.
  2. I'm afraid I don't have a save prior to Vini becoming unhappy. It's fairly easy to reproduce though, with any young world class player (at least when playing in Spain). I can understand if players want a new challenge or would like to play in a better league at some point - Mane reportedly didn't like life under Klopp in the end and therefore decided to leave, and Neymar most likely left Barca to become the main man in a project that looked to make PSG the best club in the world - also his father was rumored to have had a falling out with Barca, causing him to lose his trust in them. IF the FM series gave plausible reasons why players suddenly want to leave that would be fine. E.g. seeing Carvajal wanting to leave because he has achieved everything at Real Madrid is understandable. Alaba after two seasons at Real Madrid wanting to leave for England because it's a better league is less believable. In the case of Vinicius (and many other young star players who havent' just transferred) all it takes to unsettle them and make them want a transfer is for the interested club to keep scouting them and show their interest in the player. When, as in this particular case, Vinicius (star player, used in most games) suddenly feels PSG is a much better option, despite Ligue 1 being a less attractive competition and PSG not really winning anything important (that part is pretty spot on, though), it feels unrealistic and kills the joy of trying to make a competitive team. In my game, Real Madrid is arguably the best team in the world - squad confidence is very high and everything is going great. Except when PSG comes knocking 15 times. Then their target wants to leave. When was the last time, in the real world, a star player from Real Madrid (or any other world class club) who demanded to leave for another club? My main issue with this is, as mentioned before, that happy players should be harder to tempt than this. Everytime Man. City og PSG starts showing interest in my players, I kow what's going to happen. First scouting, they don't want to leave the club. 10th scouting, they're desperate to leave. -T
  3. This has been an issue for years but seems worse this time around. I'm managing Real Madrid, and PSG has made an offer for Vinicius Junior which I refused. Now, one of the annoying aspects of this is that after they've kept scouting him incessantly, he "desperately wants to join their club", due to their position in the league or such nonsense. Another part of the issue is that some of the most influencial players think he should be allowed to leave - why would they actively wish for their team to lose that kind of quality?. The Real Madrid team he plays for currently, as a star player, has won *everything*. It's only year 25/26. Last time I checked, La Liga is still rated higher than Ligue 1. Furthermore, it's really not that realistic having star players from the best team in Europe desperately wanting to join a much less succesful team in a less popular league. In my game, La Liga is ranked 2nd after the EPL and Ligue 1 is ranked 5th. Every single career I've played, some of the other big teams manage to unsettle my star players just by scouting them constantly. More often than not, said teams have nothing better to offer. Why is it so? It's not like I can unsettle their players just as easily - no matter how much I scout someone, he never gets truly unsettled. Do SI really think that, if Real Madrid manage to go all the way and win this years Champions League, Vinicius Junior will demand to be allowed to transfer to PSG if they made a bid for him? Even if they lose to Man City (a very likely scenario) it's extremely unlikely that Vinicius (or any other star player) would demand to be allowed to transfer to PSG if they made an offer. Sorry for the rant-like post but it's a potential game killer.

  5. The ability to edit posts would be *so* welcome. "Reak Madrid" ... sigh ..
  6. In my game, Rodrygo was called up to the Brazil U23 as a replacement for an injured player. This happened in January 2024, meaning my team mid-season lost a regular starter to a U23 match. That's not supposed to happen, is it?
  7. Since when are Barca playing here: Nou Camp doesn't appear to be unavailable ..
  8. If SI for one season skipped any and all new features and *only* focused on getting the ME as close to right as possible, I wouldn't mind the lack of new stuff. When the ME is as good as it gets, then new features can/should be implemented. - T
  9. I'm wondering why I can't put players on each post when defending a dirct free kick ..
  10. Perfect sense from what perspective? Coding or real football (which FM23 is not, I know)? It still doesn't matter. There are four defenders just looking at the only player from the opposing team close to goal - one of them should be right on top of him, regardless of man marking instructions or not. What is shown in the example has no resemblance to real football. Anyway, I don't think we'll come to an agreement, so let's not clutter this forum up more than necessary.
  11. If I have OI's on the forward set to tight marking and always press and I have four defenders close-ish to him, then I expect one of said defenders to be close to that forward. Having a back line as shown in my example is not realistic and you will never, dare I say, see it in the real world. Fair enough you want puppets but I would like a certain amount of common sense among the players to apply in this case. I wouldn't care if the defenders had lost their marking or something like that but in this case they try to keep a straight line 12 feet from the byline for no reason at all. It's more bad AI and less wrong instructions. They literally had one job.
  12. True. I couldn't change the original offer in that regard because I had my sporting director initialise the bidding. So you are correct - I don't actually know what he was offered regarding playing time and promises. I suspect he would have been offered first team regular considering the lack of defensive depth in my squad but no - I can't say for sure.
  13. The defensive positioning in this example is pure stupidity. Four defenders keeping a straight back line leaving a lone forward to himself because what? Rules? A certain amount of AI has to be involved for the human player as well. Edit: I always choose tight marking, trigger press and weaker foot instructions for the opposing forwards.
  14. So, about defensive positioning .. I know, they're doing a really great job of keeping a straight line in the back but .. Maybe at least one of the world class defenders could've put a bit of pressure on the forward before the ball was crossed?
  15. I'm managing Real Madrid and have just won the UCL as well as the league. I tried reloading several times upping the salary and bonuses each time - still he decided to go back to Newcastle to renegotiate a deal - in the news item he even "admitted" that there were better offers on the table but decided to go with Newcastle anyway. I know people have different tastes and all but choosing, well, Newcastle over Madrid AND getting a much worse deal on top of that is something I don't really get ..
  16. Does this make sense? My offer (which was rejected): What he accepted: Because: Benefit how?
  17. If I go to a press conference as Real Madrid manager before a game against Barcelona or Atl. Madrid, the questions never stop. There. Are. So. Many. It's dreadful.
  18. I have never seen a match where Osasuna has been called ATP.
  19. Small question: A very good newgen has just appeared at my rival club - he refuses to join my club because he loves his club and doesn't want to join their rivals. Is it possible through declaring interest and scouting etc. to make him change his mind? That said, I don't find it particularly realistic that a 16 year old refuses to join one of the biggest clubs in the world, just because it's a rival club. Maybe it's just me. I would understand if he was older, but not as a fresh regen. - T
  20. Regarding Erling Haaland and the insane stats people have posted - he's more human in my game :
