  1. Offside trap on, BPF as a SK Only major change I do throw in is if i have an away game against someone like Villa, West Brom, Swansea etc is defend deep and have a lower line of engagement for the striker. Bamford just kills them on the counter
  2. Formation hasn't changed much although I've rotated the team regularly throughout the season. The below is what I'd pick for a key game if everyone's fit
  3. So mid January and I'm currently 18 points clear of second place which means one of three things 1. I'm really good 2. Leeds are really overpowered 3. The games broke Lost two of my first five games but now on a run of 21 games in the league unbeaten and been able to get some game time to youngsters. Bamford currently has 17 goals from 21 starts and Berardi is the key performer with a rating of 7.40 (and keeping Ayling out of the team). I've just sold Alioski for £12m plus add ons which I'm planning on reinvesting in the summer.
  4. I'm midway through the second season and Woodburn has been a beast for me, been playing predominately as an IF on the left and he's just tore it up
  5. My first season with Leeds nearly 'fell apart' - after sitting top of the table and being 8 points clear at the turn of the year I ended up nearly falling out of the playoffs with 3 games to go. Luckily I picked up the results and missed out on promotion on goal difference by three goals (finishing on 82 points). I beat Sunderland in the semis before a 2-1 in in the final against QPR. Transfer wise there was little going out, Lasogga had his loan cancelled in August before the same fate fell upon Pennington and CBJ in January. Flint started well but ended up being replaced by Cooper in Feb, Rossi broke his leg on his debut and Haidara was garbage. Into the Prem with the standard 35m transfer kitty and I went for English players who wouldn't want to leave after a poor season - Hugill and Ojo have been immense! I found it hard to shift players on so a number are out on loan with fees agreed in advance. Paletta and Radu have barely had a sniff and been cover at best. With 9 games to go I'm currently 5th in the leg (2 points above Liverpool, City and Bournemouth who all have a game in hand). Bar a 6-0 hammering at Old Trafford I've done well against top sides, with wins at Spurs and Man City and doing the double over Chelsea. My next two are Man United at home and Liverpool away so a win in either would be huge before my last seven being against teams in the bottom half. Tactically I'm looking like this Planning for the summer I'm working on signing Ryan Sessesgnon (think may be able to nick him for 5m), before focusing on a keeper, centre forward and someone who can compete with Saiz in the 10 role. Resigning Ojo would be big too with his form
  6. Not a Newcastle fan, but thought I'd start a game and really enjoying it thus far! First season I somehow ****ed up the league and only game second with 88 points. Bit annoying but at least I was promoted, and I also got to the FA Cup final where I lost 1-0 to Arsenal. Second season I managed to finish 10th in Prem and won the League Cup beating Man United in the final on penalties (luckily they had two players sent off)! I'm now into my third season and won the first three games of the season (3-2 away to Leicester, 1-0 home to Ipswich and 5-1 away to West Brom) with Brighton home next. I've got a Europa League group of Fenerbache, Basel and Stromsgodnet so have a chance of progressing from that. My team I've managed to get a strong English core so i'm fully prepared for the possibility of Brexit! Playing a 4-2-3-1 formation my squad is as follows (I say squad rather than a starting XI): GK: Jack Butland, Freddie Woodman RB: Sam Byram CB: Grant Hanley, Jamaal Lascelles, Michael Keane, Reece Oxford, Pontus Jansson LB: Charlie Taylor, Tyrone Mings CM: Yaya Toure, Carlos Solar, Nathaniel Chalobah, Sam Clucas, Will Hughes, Kristoffer Ajer RW: Matt Ritchie, Rolando Aarons CAM: Martin Odegaard, Bradley Dack, Alex Pritchard LW: Joel Campbell, Tom Ince ST: Odian Ighalo, Dwight Gayle, Adam Armstrong, Andre Gray Need to strengthen at RB, but hopefully I've got enough to move on to start challenging for top 4/6 in the league
  7. My first 11 is .............Lonergan.............. ....Kelly/O'Brien/Lees/Pugh.... ........Clayton/Howson.......... Snodgrass/Nunez/McCormack ..............Becchio............... Thats my starting XI, After 32 games I'm on 60 points in 3rd, one behind Forest and a lot behind West Ham. Snoddy, McCormack and O'Brien been the stand outs for me. I've had so many home games where 1-0 up with 10 mins to go and throw it away and draw, can easily think of 4 games at home when done that. My away form is comfortably second best in the league
