@Skywalk3r83 Actually I used to use "play from defence" all the time but in FM24 i wouldnt recommend it anymore. All it does is make your CMs or DMs come deeper to get the ball. This can be undesirable behavior when it affects your shape and pressing. If you want to play out of defence just tell your keeper to roll out the ball or throw it to specific players such your designated BPD/Libero or more general to your CDs and Fullbacks. This will cut down on undesirable kicking behavior from keeper. Also make sure that you use a good Sweeper Keeper and that both of your CDs are pretty comfortable on the ball. But you need at least one good BPD-type to link up with keeper and then your midfield.

I'm in Spain and my B team is in 2nd division so not quite same situation as yours. If anything all of my future 1st Team stars go through it and develop by playing at least one season at higher level than u19. Sort of like Jong Ajax. So not useless at all. It's actually better than loaning them out because you can full control the tactics and directly put them in the lineup. Just lately lost some coaches from it because they retired and now can't fill the vacancies.
Same here. I manage in Portugal and my B team play in the division below. I have managed to sign some coaches for the B team, but it's definitely tougher.

Just signed him in my Benfica save. He did cost £12m because Milan found him first for £1.4m but they haven't used him, so I brought him in. He's 18 in my save too, and must have a high random PA because my scouts rate him at 5 stars and recommended me to sign him as a priority.

Im also struggling to get an Inside forward to score from the left side, regardless if I go short- direct or slow to high tempo, garnacho is completely inefective down the left, once I stick him on the right as a winger or upfront, he's a new player all together, it's so weird. Might have to see how rashford does up front.
Yeah the lack of reports is so frustrating. I hope it's fixed for the January window patch.

Seems if you manually set up multiple recruitment focuses helps things a bit.

I usually use attribute masking but really glad I didn't this time.

Yes, scouting is awful this year. There are so many players I have thought to myself why on earth haven't the scouts found this guy? They are literally useless. I have had to rely on manually scouting certain players myself. For example I bought Andre in my Benfica save but I don't think my scouts would have found him if I didn't manually scout him myself. Got him for £13.5m which was an absolute bargain.

I never sign these guys, but it's strange to see so many of these 22-23 year olds that have 4-5 star potentials. I just can imagine they will ever really reach it, and I pass on them all. Should I be doing that?
How many active leagues do you have running? That has an impact on whether some players are developed or not. Although tbh the AI aren't great in general at developing players unfortunately.

Fair enough. I've been experiencing a lack of recommendations myself, it's not consistent. There's many players I would have expected my scouts to find by now but they haven't.
