  1. Ah yeah get you, so European Union doesn't need to be there as it'll apply for all. So then yes, it appears to be a bugl.
  2. The easy fix is to find the Agreement for European Union and add Australia. I'd also add "European Union" in the treat as EU" list if you opt for this The still relatively easy fix is to duplicate your rules for "treat as non-foreign" and change your rule from non-EU to foreigners.
  3. Just try it for yourself. If you don't want to miss out on stuff just click to 'attend' various games without actually watching them just to see what's going on in the world.
  4. Not a fan of the new system. I much preferred the CL era with 2 group stages from 1999 to 2003. Can genuinely say it's the only CL era I have good memories of as a neutral. If we hadn't abandoned that, I don't think we'd be in this situation of disparity that we currently witness. This and the disastrous Platini path where teams that should be playing in CL were cancelled out by playing other CL worthy teams just for the sake of adding minnows that would probably never beat the teams from the other paths in a KO situation. That watered down the level of CL after 2009. Adding more "big league" teams came because of the KO system where teams that managed to reach the last 16 got battered by a top contender. Had we still gave them a chance to play 4 more games at that level without the do or die situation, we'd still see teams from the "minorities" advance to the last 16, but not only we stopped doing that, we stopped giving them a chance to participate. For example 1999-00 we had 21 teams from 6 leagues entering but only 18 reached the first groups as Parma, Lyon and Mallorca failed to qualify. If the setup was different. Different era of course, quality gap wasn't as big. Four teams that weren't in the top 6 reached the last 16 and 1 managed to get through the 2nd group (Porto). Next year that was 5/16. Again one in quarters (Galatasaray) Third time, again 5/16. Panathinaikos reached quarters. Final season this was applied, just 2/16 and no QFs. The CL has turned into an affair of 2-3 leagues and two outsiders (Bayern and PSG). There's nothing to like when they're handing more spots to these leagues and keep this segregated qualification system.
  5. I'm guessing this could be a case where first transfer window budget is disabled. Cannot think of another reason.
  6. Some good points so far. I may repeat some below. - I'd appreciate if SI would release an official Tutorial and Troubleshooting manual. Or at least offer some in-house help when people are asking for how to do things. This is an area of the Forums that works on autopilot, I rarely see any Devs respond to any questions asked. You cannot rely entirely on a willing community, that imo seems to be dwindling as well over time as I notice a lot of the people who are skilled with the Editor don't reside here but they are based on 3rd party websites. Devs should either help the community with simple or advanced editing stuff as long as it doesn't violate any rights which becomes a sensitive issue in the commercial aspect. And/or create a manual of the do's, don't do's and how-to's. - I'd also appreciate if adjusting 2nd nationalities wouldn't be as contingent on "No Info" vs "whatever entry". You can mass edit a nationality without caring about the part of "Granted Citizenship via..." or "Eligible for nation" or "Declared for nation", you should be able to do that for 2nd nations as well. I also am not sure where that is actually useful, as I'm not aware of any rules in the game where this matters. I trust there is, but I just haven't come across it. - I'd definitely would like to see the "Test Rules" aspect to give more options apart from just verifying. Say there's a mistake or an error, explaining how to fix it - not in detail - rather than just mentioning that there is 1 team less or more than expected in some random U19 division would quite helpful, as sometimes there are complex rules with a promotion spot being given indirectly or something. A lot of people get stuck. - More options to edit without having to use the Resource Editor. And less hard coding of things that should be editable. And if possible, more automations. a) Change continent. Pretty straightforward. b) If I adjust something, a domino effect should follow. If I change a club's history, the database should read that: - The last league position during that season changed from 2nd to 1st - The personal details of coach and player should be adjusted so that a league win is not accounted for, and the league title appears on the other person. This is also in order to auto-populate accolades to players/leagues where the history is vacant or created from scratch. Say I create a new competition and I want to make a list of different winners for the previous 3 seasons, I shouldn't have to find all players and coaches, one by one, to assign them that accolade. I assume that the data is all connected and this shouldn't be a hard implementation to change. I could go on but no need, others have also covered a lot here. - Option to "add to [inter]continental structure". Same way it works for a league, it should work for continental tournaments and international tournaments. It should allow us the option to review rules, prize money of existing competitions, or even give us the chance to add new ones, like revive the Cup Winners Cup or allow us to build a new competition for the 8th place PL and La Liga teams and the 5th place from Sweden and so on. Or edit the World Cup, Copa America or Euro without having to recreate it from scratch, including their qualifiers. This should also include qualifiers. d) More of an in-game issue than an editor game, but I'd like to see CL/EL/Conference qualifiers not be included in the same competition as the main events. This is because you may end up with a Top Scorer in that year that had like 11 goals in the qualifiers and just 2 in the group stage. Editor should give the option to state which round it "clears" the data and considers it a fresh start in the competition. As a new competition being created for qualifiers doesn't make sense, this could be a simple button on the Editor where you can tick or untick the option to "include qualifier stats in main competition". In-game, it'd be separated by view, "All", "Main", "Qualifiers".
  7. I am trying to change the Champions League registration quotas on Home Grown and Club Grown rules to no avail. Can anyone help please?
  8. Hey guys @Roy Race 9 @Wolf_pd Any ideas on how to set this at a European level? I've never edited continental competitions before and every time it felt like I had to recreate the entire continent.
  9. You go to the editor, find the clubs you want and make this change. I'm a bit surprised you managed to make this work without doing this.
  10. Did you switch their nation and continental cup nation to England?
  11. Of course I'm confused, that's why I made the post You jumped through a lot here to get there. How do I set to Continental Rules without having to recreate the entire competition structure? I can also just add the Rules to the Competitions using the file I have if it's just a manual work rather than edit some entries. If you have screenshots of what the "1" Continental Rules are, I could recreate them manually I suppose. I just don't want to play around with it and perhaps miss important aspects and make the competitions unplayable.
  12. @Wolf_pd appreciate the effort. Thing is, in order to edit the European competitions I have to do a workaround where I set them as part of a country and then edit said country. This is all I see All the competitions have these rules, but I cannot seem to locate them. If I unclick that, I'll have to redo the entire set of rules by myself and I'm going in blind as I don't really know what's involved. I'm supposed to find this in an xml file, but I don't know where that's located as it's for Europe and not a specific nation.
  13. Not sure if this could be a work around, but you could set players from the EU as non-foreign for the British nations. Go to England for example. Relationships. Treat as non-foreign. Add a new entry and go to Agreement and pick the European Union. It already exists at 'treat as EU', which I assume has to do with the new post-Brexit work permit rules, but I'm not very familiar with the new points system. So you can test here whether you have to remove the 'treat as EU' entry or not, on top of adding it as 'treat as non-foreign'.
  14. You have to change the continent of the nation. Change the continent of the competition. Make sure the nation is a full member of the confederation. Give the nation some coefficient points as well, don't leave it at zero. In Europe iirc you cannot add new nations, so you'd have to replace an existing one. I'm not familiar with that db, but if it's split between several it'll be tricky to pull this off. It's best you ask the DB creator for this parameter.
  15. The Same Nation rule may get tricky. Depends what you really want. If you want Germans in Germany and Spaniards in Spain, then the foreigner limitation is the best course of action. You can also adjust it so that it won't start immediately, gives you time to build the roster for the next 1-2 seasons where you can implement this fully. All you have to do is add the rule several times and include an End Year (iirc if start year is 2000 and end year is 2000, then it will take place for season 2000-01, then you'd need a new rule with start year 2001. If you put end year 2001 in the initial rule, then it'd run for 2 seasons).
  16. Hi, been trying to find this answer for a while now but cannot seem to. I want to edit the UEFA competitions quota limits. The current setup as everyone knows is that you have a 25 squad limit, where 17 spots are free, 4 must go to homegrown (Association Trained) players and 4 must go to club grown (Club Trained) players. This appears to be part of the Continent rules and not in the competition rules which I've managed to isolate. Can someone advise how to enter those rules? What I want to change is the number of spots, either gradually (slight increase at end of season 1, slight increase at end of season 2 etc) or a one-off change that sets it to 8 association trained and 6 club trained players out of 25, leaving only 11 free spots.
  17. You can but it's a complicated process to get everything to work. Which nations do you want to remove? The easiest way is to simply edit nations. So you want to create a new nation but remove another. You could simply edit one nation out. So if you want to create a United Kingdom nation, you basically change England that carries most of the data and edit everything from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland into the original England nation. You would need new rules for England/United Kingdom and of course set up the leagues, teams etc first. This frees up three nations which you can adjust accordingly. So you can create Narnia, Mordor and Neverland if you wish on top of those three nations. But you would always require to add Nation Rules. If you want to remove nations and have less or more than the current structure, you'd have to change a lot more rules as the Champions League won't work and international competitions will be broken.
  18. Advanced Editor: I'm having a difficulty in setting up Squad Registration rules for European competitions. I have separated a file that has the main Euro competitions, but Fixture Rules is "1" and I cannot access those via Editor or the Comp editor folder. What I want to achieve is increase the home grown and club grown players in the 25 player list from 4 + 4 to 6 + 6 and hopefully if there's a way to adjust this per season like I can at league competitions, to increase it to 6 + 10 by 2026/7. If not possible, I can settle for 6 + 8 or something in a one off after 2024/25.
  19. The UI and UX is much worse and the editor has more bugs. That I can say with certainty. The game is pretty much the same, some new minor additions, but it's still the same concept where you cannot really do much tactically outside of the options provided. And the database I guess is different obviously. Lots of great players now were predicted to be scrubs then and vice versa
